Tried this for the first time last night. Butter that was brought to the table for the Bread tasted like cherry icing. We weren't a fan. Lobster bisque was very different. I want to say had too much tarragon seasoning. Stuffed mushrooms were mediocre at best. Chicken friend steak has the same odd seasoning as the lobster bisque. Service good. Looked this place up and wanted to try something new, the service was great and not busy at all. My wife and I got an old fashioned that were great. The calamari was the best I've ever had, the potato soup I had was great and the salmon and steak were exceptional. The restaurant was also nicely set up and the patio looked like a nice place to hang out. We'll be bringing our family and friends here when they visit us for sure. First time to try CJs food was ok service wasn't good I ordered a diet Pepsi it arrived tasting like every flavor that's been through the bar gun sent it back and ordered unsweetened tea which never arrived. The excuses were they would have to make some at the end of the meal I got an update that they finally had the water boiling. Less than impressed one and done. read more

CJ's Kitchen is amazing, from the minute you walk in. Cute decorations nice music in the background, and it's not loud. Thee hostess and concierge were very nice and they seated us right away. Thee ambience of this place is wonderful. The presentation of your drinks and food really sets the mood for your dining experience. We ordered the raspberry balsamic crispy, bacon brussels sprouts,they were amazing, great flavor good texture. They have a nice bar and wine selection. For our entrée, he got the 16 ounce Ribeye with a loaded baked potato , they brought his ribeye out with herbs and butter on top of it and then they charred it at the table on top to melt the butter and herbs into the meat , and I ordered the Shrimp Difalco , wow ! It had such wonderful flavor. We also ordered for dessert thee crème brûlée wonderful flavor. I can't express how wonderful it is to have such a nice restaurant in Choctaw. We returned to CJ's Kitchen for dinner this evening and it was just as good if not better than the our first visit when they opened! Outstanding food & service! Several new entrees and sides have already been added to the menu. The bread they bring to your table before your meal is like the brown bread served @ Cheesecake Factory - it comes out warm and accompanied by cinnamon butter. We both chose the Wedge Salads to start and they were fresh and delicious. My husband ordered the Ribeye and added the Sauteed Mushrooms in Red Wine (that normally come on top of the NY Strip). It was cooked perfectly, tender & tasteful. I selected the grilled Mahi Mahi (new menu item) and it was topped lightly with a delicate and delectable sauce. The Brussels Sprouts I had last time were out of this world but I wanted to try something different so chose the Baked Sweet Potato (another new menu item) as my side - it was topped with butter & browned marshmallows! So good! Our delightful server, Makayla, boxed up our leftovers for us and we'll have another wonderful meal at home. The manager and/or the owners try to 'touch all the tables' each evening to check on the diners and tonight was no exception - they welcome questions and comments from their customers, as any new restaurant or business goes through a process of learning and growing. We were there from 5-6 pm and the restaurant was almost full when we left - and Tuesdays are usually a slow night for restaurants! Reservations are no longer necessary, but still advisable on the weekends. Another great fine dining experience in Choctaw and we already know what we want to order next time! CJ's is a really nice sit down restaurant with real silverware, cloth napkins and good food. The waitress was very attentive and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The menu was good and the prices were reasonable. It looks like a remodeled fast food restaurant from the outside but give them a chance- it's first class inside. read more

I called in a pick up order, Pollo la brasa, Caesar salad and the garlic potatoes... the price was really shocking, the food was INCREDIBLE... it's amazing how such good food can be affordable in this day and time...definitely going to try some other entrées. CJs is the restaurant we've been waiting for in Choctaw!!! Continental cuisine with some fusion options and every trip we love the new choices as much as the last! We are locals and this is our new regular restaurant! We love taking our pup along when we dine on the deck and the pup loves CJs too! The ambiance is good--lots of plants and landscaping outside and in the main restaurant it has a nice mix of soft lighting and and natural decoration. Definitely worth a visit but you may want to make reservations--word is spreading! read more

Looking for a good steak place in the area. This was one that popped up. It looked good and so we decided to try it. Nice place, clean, friendly. Got seated right away. The sat and waiting for what seemed like a long time. Finally, they took our drink orders. Were back quickly with table bread. It was a small white loaf that had a hard outer shell. Other than trying to cut it, it was very tasteful. They brought out regular butter and a cherry butter. If you go for nothing else, the cherry butter was great. I recommend it. Ordered an appetizer of spinach/artichoke. That came with toasted bread and chips. The chips were rather hard and maybe that was good for this dip as the top was hard and a bit difficult to break thru. The dip was good but maybe should have been stirred before we attempted to dip it. The rib-eye steaks came, they had a butter (flavored?) on the top which the waitress melted with a small blow torch. My wife did not like the butter and I found it ok. The steak was cooked just the way we ordered it. I should have asked for a bit of sauce. I would recommend this place and they have just a few things to improve on to function even better. We will be back. read more
