They gouge you and take advantage of women!!!! They wanted to charge me $375 to put a headlight bulb in. $575 if it was xenon. I bought the bulb off Amazon for $18. Firestone wouldn't put my bulb in unless I bought it from them! I got it put in at Bruners tires for $26.50! So $26.50+$18=$44.50 instead of $375! Plus they want a $21 reinspection fee. That is ridiculous when they already looked at my car. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL! They cannot be trusted! read more

Have always had great service here until my last visit. Long story short I brought my truck in initially with an AC issue. The person at the front desk said that my compressor was empty and I asked if they were going to check it for a leak and he said yes they would need to charge it and do so. They filled it up and the front desk person said my truck was ready. I asked if they checked for leaks and he said "no leaks." Charged me $900 and sent me on my way....4 days later no AC again so I call and tell them and they tell me to bring it back in,,,I did and no all of a sudden there's a leak and they charge me another $600. Seemed shady and honestly I would have paid the $1500 no problem to get it done right the first time. The way they handled it just came across as very shady. read more

Got a call saying my car was done. Drive 20 minutes to pick it up then had to wait over 20 minutes for someone to come to the counter. Then had to wait another 10 minutes to come back and tell me that my car was not done and it would be another 20 minutes. This service is just down right pathetic! (As sent to Firestone) Hello, this is a complaint about the Firestone auto care location at 4719 Carlisle Pike, Mechanicsburg, PA . My family has had nothing but terrible experiences at this location. I've personally had them strip and break wheel studs and warp my front rotors from improper tightening of lugs (with a high power impact instead of a torque wrench). We put a new steering rack and all tie rods on my fathers car only for them to do the toe adjustments and making the brand new boots twist 2 times and get messed up (discovered later). And my mother has had numerous issues with them. The newest one (reason for this complaint). We put a new steering rack and pump in the car along with all new tie rods. Before we replaced it, the car drove straight as an arrow because earlier this year we replaced all control arms/ball joints/bushing in entire front end as long as shocks/struts, endlinks, and sway bar. Ever since we got it back a few days ago, it pulls to the right if you accelerate then let off on a right turn, and pulls to the left if you accelerate then let off on a left turn. We went back today and they insisted (after 2.5 hrs of my wasted time) that "it is a bad tire" and they changed ONE tire out and argued with us that you don't have to replace tires in pairs (tire pair had 15k miles on it) and charged us $39 to put a new one on (the drive wheels mind you) The changing in pull after acceleration in corners indicates it is a loose bolt in the control arm. This place has CONSISTENTLY told me (a certified technician), on numerous vehicles that we've taken there, that they don't have toe/camber/caster adjustments and I have to tell them where it is only for them to try to act superior and cut in on me talking. read more

They fit my car into their schedule earlier than planned AND they fixed an overheating problem that I have been struggling with getting fixed for years!! The mechanics are top notch. I've taken my car to this garage several times and always left satisfied. Their hours are convenient, their personnel - namely, Zach, Matt, and Devon - are professional, their work is solid. Most recently, I asked them to fix a problem with my vehicle's air conditioner. While the vehicle's flaw caused the freon to leak, they honored the Firestone a/c recharge warranty and did not charge me for the recharge (that took over $100 off my bill). Their waiting area needs some work -- plastic bowling alley-type chairs around a corner of the room -- but, that's a minor matter. read more

It's really too bad that there isn't a way to give zero stars on here. Please do not schedule any appointments with FireStone Mechanicsburg. They do not value your time at all. Inspite of scheduling the appointment, the car maintenance was not completed on time. Eventually, I had to take my car to other shop for the simple oil change. When I ask if the oil change can be done in next 2 hours, as I was ready to wait for 2 hours, he bluntly said no. I would never visit them again and recommend do not waste your time as well. read more

I went here to get my car inspected and have its oil changed. I decided to wait for it hoping it wouldn't take more than an hour. An hour goes by and everyone else that came in after me has left with their car fixed and mine still hasn't been brought into the garage. They claimed to have lost the papers for it. The workers are just standing around smoking or drinking sodas from local fast food restaurants and not working on the cars. They don't care about their customers. read more

I had taken my wife's car there once before for a standard LOF service- everything was fine ( because honestly, how could you screw that up) my wife was about to travel for business purposes and I wanted them to look over the car and see if anything needed attention. Her car is a 2010 Scion TC. I figured at most, she would need new pads and maybe rotors since they haven't been changed since buying the car brand new. I received a phone call from the service advisor telling me that she needed new pads and rotors all around and she would also need new calipers all the way around as well. OH! And four new tires. Quoted me 750 dollars for the work minus the tires. I work for a diesel mechanic shop that does not typically mess with automotive work. I myself am not a mechanic but being in the industry, I know when i'm being bent over... I told them to put the car outside. My wife picked her car up and brought it to the shop where i work along with the "new quote" that was given to her at the time of pickup for......$1,800.00. Looking over the quote, it was everything that was quoted to me that morning over the phone.....my wife's car is now fixed. New pads and rotors were the only fix that was necessary. I took my 2002 Astro Minivan in to this Firestone for State Inspection last week and had a very negative experience. Although the staff were very friendly and appeared knowledgeable, they really tried to pull a fast one on me. They told me I needed new front idler arms for $220 each, plus $200 installation. I was really surprised at the $640 price tag, as they just looked like small brackets. After asking if they could find cheaper parts, I went back and sat in the waiting room. I got to thinking, then pulled out my phone and looked up idler arms online. Found them for $17.95. When the man called me up and told me he found a cheaper brand for $170. I showed him the ones I found. He said he uses a better quality brand. I said "Really? $440, marked down to $340. for parts I can buy for $35? Are they coated in gold?" I told them to take my vehicle down, paid the (failed) inspection fee, and left. I then went to a local guy who said the idler arms were fine, and then passed my vehicle for inspection. In today's difficult economy, with so many people out of work and scrambling just to make ends meet, this kind of dishonest and predatory business practice is as reprehensible as it is shameful. NEVER BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE! The so called mechanics here have no idea what they are doing! They care nothing about making sure that the job is done right and the vehicle is safe to drive. I have had to bring my car back to this place 3 times now because they screwed up every time, and they still didn't get it right! My car isn't even safe to drive! Not to mention after all the times they screwed up they still tried to charge me for parts they had to replace because they messed up in the first place. If you want genuine good service to your car and to trust that your vehicle is safe don't go here! I'd give zero stars and call the police on these people if I thought anything would actually come of it. Horrible horrible place! read more

I'm new to the area, and I needed my car inspected. I also knew that my tires may not pass inspection. I took my Nissan Xterra here, and I'm so happy! I've had A LOT of bad experiences with garages in my past (not here, in Texas) so I fully expected they may not pass my car due to my tires (they are a tire place after all and could have easily said I needed them now) but it passed even though I was right on the cusp. They totally could have taken advantage of me, but they didn't. I chose to replace my tires while they had it on my own volition, and they even had the destination tires I wanted transferred to their shop (LE2 are the best). I would recommend this shop to anyone. Everyone was super nice, and they looked out for my needs as well as my pocketbook. Maybe I found a garage I can trust???!!! I hope so... it's hard to find a good trustworthy mechanic these days!
