OK my tenant called me Monday morning complaining about how she cant get in her mailbox and she needs her mail etc. Still a mystery as who changed her lock but anyways...I didn't waste my time nor my nerves. I googled "Van Nuys Locksmith" and came up CK LOCK. Called quickly and spoke with Ami, nice gentlemen, and was quoted X amount to go out and change the lock. Without much effort I got Ami to hook me up with a better price as a first time customer. Ami cares about keeping his customers. I hung up with him and 20 minutes later I got a message from my tenant thanking me for changing her lock. I mean the guy was probably changing the lock before I hung up with Ami :). Great Service! If it was not for CKlock I would not have been able to replace my car key! Somehow I lost my key between where I parked in front of my building and inside my house, since it is a chipped key I could not get s key from the dealer without having the car towed there. Ok I asked them how much to re-key 4 locks and give me 4 keys how much out the door was $100.00 via text. They sent a man out in a car and a little box of tumblers, he was here maybe 25 minutes done deal BUT he only gave me 2 keys!! That wasn't the deal to short me 2 keys and leave I think this is POOR BUSINESS ETHICS. SO if they ever quote you a price watch out they won't hold too it. Too bad for $1.00 look what they get for a review now I have to get more keys made!! read more

Fantastic service!! I needed an additional key and FOB for my Jeep. The dealer quoted well over $200 for the fob, programming and ignition key. I got a fob on amazon for $7 and CK programed it and made a key for $40 total in about 15 minutes. Massive savings plus extremely friendly nice local shop and service. This place is awesome! They know there keys about a week ago I went. , I had gone to about four places prior to make copies of my house key. Every place I went to said they didn't have that particular key in stock and that it was a rare key. This place didn't have the particular key in stock that made the key anyway. I was so impressed with the service I received from CK Lock! They came out the same day I called, rekeyed 6 locks, fixed a very old sliding glass door with no door handle so that it could function and provide security, and discovered a door which I had assumed was totally inoperable that my tenants had managed to get open. I initially contacted CK Lock because of my realtor. I had to change the locks in my new home and the owner came over and gave an estimate. I did my research and the estimate was very fair. He was very honest about my choices and I felt that he was not trying to over sell. That was 5 years ago and I have had a few emergencies since then and have called Ami (the owner) multiple times and he is always eager to help and always at my convenience. Ami is reliable and courteous ....although I have been late meeting him at my house (more than once), Ami never gets upset and is totally OK with it. Recently Ami spent many hours helping fix my garage and did not charge anything extra. Although CK Lock is kind of hidden and very small, don't let that deter you...Ami is on top of his game and you will get the best quality work at a very reasonable price. read more

Great service, nice fellows - two partners. I bought a 2012 Chrysler 200 Touring Convertible, but no fob key was provided. They offered a price 35% below other quotes I was given, and were much more straightforward and reliable in their telephone quotes about about price, schedule etc. They even offered to drive out to my place for no extra charge if it wasn't convenient for me to come to them. The key I had was a copy, and so was hard to make a copy from, but they made it work w/o any further charge. Additionally, Chrysler hadn't set the VIN # up to match the make and model correctly for purposes of programming the key chip, but they figured that out as well in quick time. Pleasant, professional, efficient, no BS. Extremely highly recommended. read more

I've been having trouble with an old Camry's ignition key. Last week we had to call a locksmith from a parking lot of a local retailer. It took over an hour but he made a key for us (we had three but none would turn the ignition) but told us we needed a new ignition.
