My work travel schedule and the kids time changes. We decided to step away. We were obliged to pay a 90 day outclassed costing us over $550 a month as a family. Not a cheap exit clause. In the end a bummer of an experience with the out clause. The gym experience was a good one and the kids enjoyed themselves while there the 3 star only has to do with the cost to exit. In the end will not enter into contracts again, but that is our issue not this studios.

I was looking for a place to train while in…read moretown for a few days visiting my mom, and was surprised to learn that there is a Renzo Gracie affiliate just a few minutes from her house. Within the world of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Renzo, grandson of Carlos Gracie (who, along with his brother Helio, developed the art in Brazil in the early 20th Century) is a legend, and his academy in NYC is known for producing world champions. The facility itself is spacious and immaculately clean. I first attended a 2-hour open mat session that was presided over by professor Kevin Landry, who runs the school and, I learned, built out the (very impressive) space all by himself. I was impressed to see that Professor Landry was rolling himself, and generously offering guidance to all students--he even brought me in to help demonstrate a move with a similarly-sized student. The students I rolled with at RGNH--even the white belts--seemed very well trained. Everybody was going pretty hard, but the vibes were good and it was all smiles, even at the end of a tough roll. Over the course of the following week I was able to take two morning classes with Professor Nick Fiore. Nick's instruction was detailed but very clear. The classes were scheduled for an hour, but most people stayed after to spar for another half-hour or so. The academy I train at is not affiliated with Renzo Gracie or that side of the Gracie family tree, but regardless I was welcomed into the gym with warmth and generosity. Southern NH is lucky to have such a high-level BJJ academy, and I would recommend that anyone who is interested in starting (or continuing) to train in the area give RGNH a try.

The members are all there for the…read moresame reason as me -- to work out, have fun, and gain something bigger and better along the way. The staff here is always so friendly, helpful, and caring. I never feel intimidated to ask if I don't know how to do something, whereas some gyms are full of ego. There are always classes taught by professionals that keep you motivated and moving! I would reccommend this gym 10/10 times. It's like having the option to do crossfit style classes without the price point. Oh-- and the MyZone feature is the coolest thing ever! You can purchase a MyZone heart rate monitor, and see EXACTLY what you've burned, heartrate, and MEPs on a TV screen. I will always be a member here!!

The owners, Terry and Christina Dow, have created a community that is as strong as it is diverse. Everyone who walks through the door is made to feel like they belong. It is filled with dedicated athletes of all degrees, skills and backgrounds, all having respect for each other just for being there. A place where u can build relationships, while building a strong lean body. There are plenty of classes to choose from making it convenient for anyone's hectic schedule. Originally running was my exercise of choice. I joined The Training Station thinking I would add in some cross training for a couple of months......
