I walked out but my guest said food was not good. The other employee were definitely embarrassed by your behavior, we felt sorry for them as they did us.. I do not recommend as long as she is working here. I do not know her name, she was not wearing a name tag but my guess this isn't her first complaint so I'm sure easy to figure out who she is. The food was very good! Freshly prepared and made to order. Nice variety of menu items. Prices are on par for a casino restaurant. Very generous portions. I had enough for a carry out! The service was prompt and efficient. Staff pleasant and quite helpful. The decor is warm and there's plenty of seating, along with a nice waiting area for carry out or awaiting a table. Claim Jumpers in the Golden Nugget Casino was disappointing. The service was spotty. The young lady who sat us was friendly and accommodating. We had two mobility scooters . She got us seated where the scooters wouldn't be a problem. The Elderly waiter wasn't the best. As for the food. My wife and I ordered the Clam chowder. It's one soup that I love from Clam Jumpers. Not the best ever not the worst. Pretty expensive and that's cause it's in a hotel so I think you pay a lot for convenience. Food tasted pretty good though, worth the price? Maybe. Service was great! Last time I've been to one was in Tempe long time ago. We decided to try here for breakfast. Got coffee, biscuits and gravy, American breakfast, and side of stacked packages. I forgot they are known for large portion. Biscuits and gravy.... Well... Very plain but with sasauge was little better. But sasauge tasted like one of them link sasauge chopped up. Really super good service. We ordered the beef dip sandwich and my husband and I split it between each other. The bread was super soft to my liking. The onion rings were yummy and tasty. I think they sprinkled Parmesan cheese on the breading. We also ordered it with clam chowder and a Caesar salad and both were really tasty. But the part I'm most impressed with was the service. Our server was so attentive and very kind and personable. Even the hostess was super nice. The ambiance was also rather nice and separated far enough from the casino so there wasn't too much smoke that would linger into the restaurant. Very happy that we came here. read more

CJ is a great place to catch a meal. We went there for breakfast and were delighted by both the service we received and the meal we ate. We had to wait for about 2 minutes in a line before being seated. Once seated we found the venue offered a very relaxed but polished atmosphere. Our order was taken and it was approximately 10 minutes before we were served. You can tell each order is made fresh hence the wait time. The portions were generous and very delicious. This is not the claim jumper of old. The food was horrible. Order a chicken Caesar salad and it was deli chicken. I used to come here a lot. This place has drastically gone down hill. The menu is about a third of the original. We asked the waitress about it and she said that it hasn't been claim jumper for a few years now. If that is the case why is it still branded as such? Their napkins and signs at the casino still say claim jumper. $34 for a salad and soup would have been worth it if it was the old claim jumper. read more

Our big group had an excellent breakfast here inside the Golden Nugget. It was our farewell meal together but very spontaneous because we were all hungover and exhausted. The Claim Jumper crew was very accommodating and even made room for our bags as we had already checked out. We all ordered some type of breakfast entree with coffee and fancy looking mimosas. I really appreciated that the fruit was incredibly fresh and firm (not soggy, souring and going bad). The taters were crisp and tasty and we weren't shorted on sauces nor dips. The Eggs Benedict and Country Fried Steak was so so delicious. Biscuits and gravy was a huge portion with lots of wonderful country gravy. You could easily share that entree. The bacon was cooked perfectly and crispy. Some of us ordered lunch. I'd recommend the club sandwich and buffalo cauliflower. We were all very happy with our food and service. She also brought a huge cup of extra hot water so that i would not have to ask her later for more hot water. Another example is that sure said she would put in the soup first and wait to put in my American breakfast order a bit, so that the timing of my finishing soup and the arrival of my American breakfast would be fresh and hot. Despite it being a very brisk, busy Saturday morning packed with people and a decent sized line waiting to be seated, she handed the bill to the elderly patron behind me and said "take your time." We ate at Claim Jumper while we waited for our room to be ready. We were sat immediately. The waitress was friendly and took our order promptly. We ordered the beef dip and blackened chicken Alfredo. The beef dip was okay, nothing special. As soon as the blackened chicken Alfredo was placed on the table, I noticed, 1) there was barely any chicken, and 2) it was definitely not blackened. I could see out of the corner of my eye that the waitress took a few steps away, then turned around to watch our table. She saw me poking around the plate as I looked for the chicken (very, very thinly sliced and few and far between). She came back almost immediately and asked if everything was okay. I replied that there just wasn't very much chicken and that it wasn't blackened. She immediately took the plate back, all while saying that it is very common that the kitchen staff are skimpy with the chicken and that customers complain. So initially I'm thinking that she is attentive and providing great service as she noticed I was not pleased with the food. She comes back a few minutes later with a plate, which didn't seem all that much different. It may have been a few more pieces of chicken, still not blackened. She immediately tosses me a business size card asking me to provide a 5 star rating for her service (I lost the card, but I think it was for Yelp). I said I would because she was quick to get me (allegedly) more chicken. She walks away and not even two minutes later, she's asking me if I filled out the survey and gave her the 5 star rating. That's when I started to think, a) why would she bring out the plate with such little chicken if she herself said that customer's always complain about the lack of chicken from the kitchen staff, and b) why was she so quick to turn around after dropping off the food to gauge my reaction. It felt like this was all a set-up for her to get a 5 star rating on whatever survey she wanted me to fill out. Like they bring out the plate with such little chicken then she looked like the hero to bring out a "new" plate with "more chicken." Had she not asked if I filled out the survey within 2 minutes of her handing me this card, not even allowing me to take a bite yet, I probably would have given her the rating she wanted. It just all felt very rehearsed. I would also like to note that the hostess sat an elderly couple with scooters near us. It took them quite some time to get settled at their table considering they were scooter bound. Our same waitress was assigned to them and I could overhear her being somewhat rude to them and matter-of-factly stating that the restaurant was closing in 30 minutes. We ventured there after not having anything really to eat on our plane and we had traveled for about 3-4 hours via plane and we needed something good and fulfilling! When we arrived there was a line but the line seemed to be moving so, we decided to try it! Within about 5 mins of standing in the line we were seated! And seated in such a cute booth! We could see the tvs which had sports on it and proceeded to order drinks. We ordered the tequila sunrise and it was tasty and strong! Just the way we like it when we hit up Vegas for a girl's trip! This restaurant is located in the Golden Nugget! It was a nice atmosphere or was nice to have a dinner where there wasn't any loud music or people yelling! I could actually hear the conversation between us. They had navy fiend options for dinner as to where I wanted pasta. I really didn't care for the style of pasta that I got. It was bow tie pasta with blackened chicken in a white sauce. I guess it wasn't my style. But the portions size was very huge. Enough to share. We also got a steak plate that came with two sides, some roasted vegetables, and baked potato. That was very tasty. Our server was nice he checked on us once through our meal. They serve Coca-Cola products here as I was very happy. I didn't want to drink anymore as to where I was drinking all day. So a soda sounded great. I love coming to this restaurant when I'm in Vegas. It's on my to do list very time. They are very generous with their portions. I couldn't eat the whole thing! But, i enjoyed the pot pie as a left over too. It's a great favorite of mine! As you can see, another favorite is a cup of clam chowder which is a size of a bowl! Or, did they cracked the cup?! Country fried steak are two huge pieces under that creamy gravy. That night, we did a taste test! That piece of chocolate cake was over the top! A warning to others who remembered how Claim Jumpers used to be and wanted to try it now... I say leave the nostalgia in memory. We tried the one in Las Vegas wanting the Tri-tip with the cheese potato cakes but they discontinued the potato cakes. As for the steak, it was dry and flavorless.
