This place is what I've been talking about. This Famous Dave's on Paradise Road in Las Vegas is a smaller walk in place with the same awesome Famous Dave's BBQ. Most of the Dave's in the Chicagoland area have closed because the restaurants are so big and they can't fill the places, and in turn they close down. This place in Vegas is awesome! You walk in, go right to the cashier, order your meal, and your food is prepared and given to you in a matter of a couple of minutes instead of 15 to 20 minutes at a bigger store. The food was just as good, tasted fresh, and portions were just as much as in the bigger restaurant. The restaurant is clean and the staff was really nice. Corporate needs to take a look at this place and model more restaurants in the midwest after this one before the Famous Dave's name goes by the wayside. read more

Much better! I'd almost given up on our local Famous Dave's due to poor service for pick up. I (like others) posted several reviews on our experience. It seems like the management made some much needed changes. First: food was back to the great quality that I've grown up knowing to be consistent with Famous Dave's! Whoever the pitmaster was... well done. I didn't catch the pick up staff's name. But she was very kind and welcoming. I came in on 4/15 around 5-6pm. If the manager can see who was working that day, she deserves kudos. Not just me, but she offered to assist with carrying out food to everyone who came to the counter. This Famous Dave's is conveniently located on Paradise Road and Harmon Avenue, right across from the Virgin Hotel. It's in the CVS shopping center, so parking is free and available all the time. Last time I stopped by at lunchtime, I was craving their smoked brisket sandwich. It's so delicious! It comes with a choice of side, and I picked the potato salad. My meal was satisfying and delicious! Service was excellent! Employee brought my lunch to me where I was sitting. He could have just called me to the counter and give me my food. Jacquelyn D was the lady answering the phones and taking payments. I tried to call and place an order before arriving. She kept me on hold the whole time. I get in the establishment and there is 1 person in line. Why not answer and say we're not accepting phone orders at the moment if you're too busy. They clearly were not her customer service sucks. Placed a large order for a pick up at 11:30 am. The order was ready, so I paid and loaded everything into my car. Service was ok. Not friendly like some other BBQ spots I've visited in Vegas. I felt like the Craig location had more friendly workers. Food: I ordered 2 Platters that came with brisket, ribs, and chicken. The sides were baked beans, cole slaw, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, banana pudding, and cookies. In addition, it came with lemonade and ice tea. The food was actually really good. Loved my experience at Famous Dave's. I used to go to the dine in restaurants with my family and made great memories there. Not going to lie, I was scared by the new ambiance when I first came in! But the great customer service from Paula made the experience a great one from the start. Jimmy cooked us up some amazing ribs, a whole chicken breast, 4 corn bread muffins, a part of brisket on garlic bread, coleslaw, and the best damn baked beans I've ever had! It's busy and all the staff is all busy working and Sabrina, I'm not sure if he's the manager or what but she is just standing there telling everyone what to do. And when I asked for butter she refused and said cornbread doesn't come with butter! I visited this place on a whim while picking up cookies at insomnia. The staff was friendly and attentive when I walked up to assist me. As this was my first time there, I wanted to try a few things but the prices were pretty high. I went with the 2 meat combo - beef brisket and sausage. Both were tasty but the beef brisket was certainly on the fattier side. In terms of the side, I was amazed at how cold the potato salad was next to all the other hot food. Famous Dave's Quick Que is a nice concept. If you like the regular Famous Dave's this is the same except you order it cafeteria style, everything is on a steam table or in warmers so there is no waiting. There is a smaller menu from a regular restaurant but most of your favorites are here. Both times I have been here it was slow which actually is a good indicator of the food quality. Because everything is already cooked there is a chance it could dry out especially when it is slow. But everything was perfect, the chicken was juicy, the brisket moist and tender, and the ribs were fall off the bone. So a good place to stop by for a nice quick meal. read more

My dad wanted Famous Dave's for his 91st birthday. After trying to reach the famous Dave's on Rainbow for the better part of 2 days to put in a takeout order for their All American feast, I looked around for a different Famous Dave's in town. I saw this one, the "quick que" location and decided to call here since it's right near Unlv which was convenient for me. The lady who answered the phone said I didn't need to put in an order and could just come in. I was a bit leery after spending 2 1/2 hours waiting for pick up for a pre-placed order at the Rainbow location on Father's Day, but I went in anyway. What an incredible surprise when I was able to get everything I needed for a great birthday party in a fraction of the time it took to pick up the pre-placed order at the other location. Not only was the food absolutely delicious and full of flavor, but the people who work there could not have been nicer - very, very, nice young men. I was impressed by their great customer service. I will absolutely be going back to this location. It is the best one I've been to in a long time. read more
