Located in the Golden Nugget, this steakhouse is a franchise that offers typical franchise steakhouse foods. The food was good, the restaurant is a little busy from the casino traffic, and the restroom is located outside of the restaurant. Our waiter was not great - he didn't seem to like his job, or that he had to work on a Saturday night. After we paid the bill, we mentioned it to the manager and he didn't really seem to care, noting that our waiter was one of their best. If that's their best, they can keep it. While the food was good, I don't really enjoy spending money to be treated poorly. No refills, almost 20 minutes to get a to-go box, and he didn't check on us at all after our food was delivered. Go to the real steakhouse in the GN if you want to get your money's worth in service and taste.

Saltgrass came in clutch with the 21oz ribeye, baked potato, salad, artichoke dip, and snake bite jalapeños! What a GREAT steak ever. Single. Time. The service was phenomenal and the decor is super cute!

We found Saltgrass Stakehouse on the first night of a recent trip to Vegas and had a wonderful experience. Located inside the Golden Nugget, it is easily accessible from anywhere in the Freemont Street area by foot. We initially went because they have gluten sensitive menu options which was necessary for some members of our dining party. Our amazing server was Tony, who took great care of us. Food and drinks were reasonably priced for Last Vegas, drinks were strong, and the food was good. We had such a good time joking and laughing with Tony that we ended up coming back every day of our long weekend trip and requesting his area every time. Each time we came back we brought new people, and they were all as charmed by the restaurant and service as we were. The staff handled gluten sensitive meals, split plates, and split checks gracefully and efficiently. We also got to know another server, Katrina, over the course of our visits and she was similarly fantastic. She took great care of us for our last meal (breakfast) at Saltgrass and made sure to steer us toward the best menu items. The manager was accessible and engaging, and we had a number of good interactions with his as well. This restaurant seems to have great staff who stick around. All of our servers had been working there for many years. We will definitely be back on our return trips to Vegas.

It was our first time here. The service was a 3 out of 5. The food was a 4. I ordered the filet mignon, my daughter ordered the NY Strip Steak. I had a loaded baked potato, she had the mashed potatoes. I thought the sides were kind of small. There is bread served with the meal, you don't have to ask for it. I like my meat with a little bit of pink, asked for medium well, but it was a little rare for my taste. We also had glasses of Sangria which were very refreshing. We had a reservation at 6:30. We were in and out of there in an hour. Place is pretty casual. I noticed there were also people eating there in the A.M., so I believe they also order breakfast items there too. Our waiter was sick. He could barely talk. Gave us the ick feeling. If you have laryngitis, stay home.

I had a spa treatment upstairs . If you show your receipt and you get a free glass of wine or champagne. Perfect. Plus I was hungry. Came out of the elevator and it's right there. I walked up and the bar was empty... but a nice 2 top table was open. I sat down. And then.... I waited. And waited. Servers walking right by. Nothing. I got uk and grabbed a menu I saw. Started looking at it. Nothing. Nobody. I got up again. I went to the hostess station. Asked if I need to tell them I'm sitting there. " no.. someone will be over". Nope. I was literally just ready to leave.. when a server approached. No apology. Okay.. well I'm ready to order. A chicken salad and the mini filet bites. And a glass of champagne. The champagne was lovely and the bites showed up. No salad. Server said she forgot. So salad was ordered again. She was so kind to give me another glass of champagne for the mix up. That literally turned my review around. Very thoughtful. The bites were amazing. I'd get them again. Salad was fresh and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Slow start .... but ended well.

Great savory experience here. Was hungry but not famished. I opted for the " tenderloin bites with chimmichuri and bread. It came in a small iron skillet...had it medium rare. Was perfectly grilled...perfect proportion; tender juicy bite sized chunks with sauteed' mushrooms. So delicious! So savory and all for $20. Damn damn sho' am good. Great bang for your buck. Full bar here too!

Kinda odd their very front main entrance signage doesn't say "Saltgrass" on it but just "Steakhouse" instead. There are signs that say Saltgrass around the corner though They had some seatings across the walkway and with large windows that showcased the pool area Was asked if wanted some bread later on, after ordering dinner. It was warm and tasty The grilled salmon Caesar salad was very good and salmon was cooked awesome. Just how I requested, not burnt with no grill marks. Got to try their Caesars and blue cheese dressing. The blue cheese was kind of tart but liked the chunks of blue cheese. Caesar's was a bit better. Service was decent The openness of the setup was nice to view but cigarette smoke was prevalent in the nearby areas. The restrooms were around the corner and had to pass through all the smoke and was hard to breathe through

Hello Yelpers, First time at Saltgrass Steak House and here's the rundown: Service was excellent--staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to anticipate our needs. The dining room was comfortable and fully wheelchair accessible, which I really appreciated. Food-wise, the Cajun ribeye and Porterhouse were disappointing. For a steakhouse at this price point, I expected juicy, flavorful cuts, but neither delivered. The ribs were much better--tender and truly fell off the bone. We also tried the crispy fried shrimp, but the breading was too heavy for our taste. Next time I'd go with grilled. Now for the best part: dessert. The carrot cake and cheesecake were both excellent and definitely worth saving room for. Overall: great service, solid atmosphere, but the steaks didn't live up to expectations. Ribs and desserts were the highlights.

I decided to take time for myself so I decided to have a meal at Salt Grass. I was greeted by Katrina who was kind and took my order after asking if i was ready. I was. Then I ordered a chicken sandwich to which I modified by adding extras like Jalapeño and extra pickles. Sweet potato fries were hot and crunchy. Loved it. So i sat and ate in the pretty much noisy restaurant but it is in a casino. But the sound of the winners didn't bother me much. I'll be back chicken sandwich was delicious.

Me and my Bestie wanted steak in Las Vegas. We stumbled upon this restaurant in area. The server was efficient and quick. We ate real good steak and had good drinks too. The ambiance is like a Saloon in a western movie.

This is a Landrys owned brand within the Golden Nugget. I found this restaurant to be an excellent dining establishment. RESTAURANT: The restaurant was decked out in authentic Texas barbecue and Southwest-style decor, and it makes you look forward to the meal that would be presented to you......starting with the warm bread and butter that comes out first. PRICE: The prices are moderate and what you'd expect; however, I did notice that some of the appetizers were priced higher than expected. SERVICE: The service was attentive, professional, and considerate, making the overall experience worth it. FOOD (The important part!) The ribs and chicken were particularly delicious, while the appetizers were satisfactory but did not stand out. The mozzarella bites did not come out hot, therefore the cheese wasn't melty and you bit into a solid chunk. Their Queso dip is amazing. I'd eat here again for sure.

We just discovered this place while walking thru Golden Nugget casino . And I'm glad we did . We made dinner reservations and we arrived on time and was seated right away . Menu selections were great as there were many choices for appetizers... meat and seafood entrees etc. we ordered two appetizers...Spinach /artichoke dip .. Fried Mushrooms and for the entree .. we ordered one 16oz Ribeye with side of Fried Green Beans . Everything was delicious!!! Portions were very generous. We couldn't finish it all . The staff was also very friendly and nice. We were seated not in the main area of the restaurant but more to the side which was great . Even though we're in the casino .. it wasn't that noisy at all . We loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and the all the food was delicious so we will definitely return to dine here again . They do accept the Landrys gift cards so that was a good deal .

We came here on a Thursday night and it was packed. We didn't have reservations but they were able to fit us in and seat us in a couple of minutes. We were in the main dinning room. We were brought water right away but after that we were ready to order but had to wait for the waitress to come by. It was pretty packed yet I saw two of the waitress just standing by the ordering registers and talking several times while we were eating. They take orders but don't do anything else. They have a finisher come with your meal and not the original waitress. Also they don't clear plates , I guess the busboy does that. The waitress took our order but when my friend had some questions she seemed annoyed like she wanted to put in our order and just leave us. I go the boneless ribeye and the 12 ounce. When it came it looked really thin like a Denny's steak. I asked if this was right and she said it was. Very bad looking for a steakhouse piece of steak. It did taste good at least. Everyone enjoyed their food so just ok place. Nothing to write home about.

    We got hungry!

Me and wifey showed up for our 7:30 PM reservation and was seated immediately and greeted by our server, Nicole (Congratulations on your little one!). She was very pleasant and then TK came out and dropped off a phenomenal sourdough bread slice with a side of bacon jam, I believe. Then we were greeted by manager Derrick, who I'd previously spoke with on the phone and told him we'd be about 5 minutes behind schedule. He told me it was no problem. Derrick's personality was personable to the point where it felt like I knew him already. TK recommended the pepper corn sauce for our steak and then went above and beyond by bringing out several different sauces to try with our steak. I informed Derrick my wife was in PA school and graduating soon and then he went above and beyond by bringing out a complementary dessert for her, which he did not have to do but we were very appreciative of the nice gesture. This experience tonight was one of a kind and I'd gladly come back on my next visit and tell a friend. I've never had such exceptional service at a steakhouse. Much love and thanks to all staff at Primal Steakhouse.

The place was packed, which honestly surprised me given it's tucked on the outskirts of a mall. The entrance, lit with real candles, immediately set the tone--beautiful, a little dramatic, and slightly nerve-wracking (at one point a staff member had to put one out with water). Still, the space feels incredibly cozy and truly lives up to its name--Primal. It gives off a subtle Game of Thrones vibe in the best way. Our drinks at the bar were exactly as described on the menu. I had the Crown Jewel, and my partner ordered the King's Elixir, which came smoked--such a fun touch. We were seated right on time for our 8:00 pm reservation. To start, we ordered the deviled eggs (my boyfriend always goes for these if they're on a menu--even if I can never justify it myself). Our server recommended the lobster bisque, and we'd also seen it on TikTok, so we gave it a try. It was good, though slightly salty for my taste. I will say, compared to what we saw online, ours didn't have the large chunks of lobster we expected. We also ordered the carpaccio, which was spot on--exactly what you'd want from a local steakhouse. We decided on a bottle of wine, but there was a small mix-up. I stepped away briefly, and when I came back, I realized it wasn't the one we originally chose. Not the staff's fault at all--my boyfriend approved it after tasting and seeing the bottle Now, the main event--the steak. Since this was my cheat day, I needed it to be perfect, and it absolutely delivered. I always order my steak charred rare, and most places tend to overcook it, but they got it exactly right. Just the way I like it--practically running away from me. They did me right! We ordered the 28oz bone-in ribeye, a loaded baked potato with thick-cut bacon, and a red pepper risotto. Everything was rich and satisfying. We ended up packing a good portion because I had to save room for dessert. We finished with the Oreo tiramisu--so good Overall, we'll definitely be back. It's a quality local spot that genuinely surprised us, especially since we usually dine on the Strip or at hotel restaurants. A great experience all around.

Come to think of it, they recently introduced a three course meal call the Power Lunch for $50.00. It's very similar to the Restaurant Week menu but there's more main entree options to choose from with Power Lunch. This restaurant is located right next to the famous Bacchanal Buffet. For our appetizers, we chose the Cesar Salad and their famous Luger's Sizzling Bacon. YES YES YES!!!!! If you're a fan of bacon, THIS IS A MUST ORDER. This isn't your plain ol diner bacon. Thick pieces, charred perfectly. You need to try this for yourself. Cesar salad was delicious as Cesar salad gets. Our main entree, we both got the Broiled Salmon. Comes with your choice of either creamed spinach or french fries. Both fantastic options. The creamed spinach pairs well with the salmon as there's not too much flavor/seasoning to it. Gives your tastebuds a bit more flavor. All I can say about the french fries is I've never tasted a fry I didn't like lol. Portions are big enough for leftovers. I love how they don't skim on your portions even though it's for Restaurant Week. As if you're not full yet...don't forget about dessert. The Holy Cow Sundae's portion was just right. Couldn't finish it but ice cream and chocolate lovers would be in heaven with this. Service was fantastic. It also had yummy bits of braised beef in it. My friends had the split pea soup (no cream) and fritto misto which they seemed to like. We all shared the tomahawk steak and sides of sautéed mushrooms and truffle fries. That steak was incredible and so tender. It was cooked to medium perfection and had charred fat. (See video). It came with the crunchiest roasted potatoes. The best part was the crunch bits on the cutting board. The sides were tasty as well and I forgot to mention the bread served once you're seated. It's super soft and the butter is nicely whipped. For cocktails, I really enjoyed the Off the Rails Old Fashioned which you create via a dice game. That was real fun and the drink packs a nice punch. Great food and bartender. We just needed a lighter lunch since we were planning on walking around…read moreafterwards so we shared some devils eggs and a pot roast dip sandwich. Both were very good and the sandwich came with slightly spicy tots. It was the perfect amount of food and the bar seating was comfortable. We've been here a few times but haven't been back in too many years. That'll change now and we'll be back sooner. Glad to see that this place is still here since so many other restaurants we visited once are now gone.

The waitstaff were dressed very casual, jeans and t-shirt casual. Although the food is upscale, everything else about this place seems very casual diner like. We could even see most of the work going on in the small kitchen. Mostly shareable plates... Our table chose the deviled eggs with caviar - these were a hit! Dynamite shrimp, most at the table liked these, they were spicy and the flavor was decent, but I just felt like the sauce made the breading a bit soggy and it wasn't a favorite of mine. Pork Belly - This had a buffalo sauce on it, which I wasn't too excited about at first, but it worked better than I expected. Wish it was just a little crispier but it was tender and I enjoyed it. Oxtail risotto - this one had mixed reviews from the table, I really enjoyed it. The flavor was good. There's only a small amount of meat and it's shredded into the risotto. Overall the consistency was a little weird, very thick and almost sticky/dry, plus the dark color. They had a steak on the menu and the flavor was great, one of the pricier menu items but it was a good share. My wife ordered a burger without the bun. She said the patty was well over-cooked and so it was pretty dry. They don't offer gluten-free buns or bread - bummer. The service was generally prompt, but seemed uncoordinated at times. For example, it seemed our waitress was also handling a very large party outside on the patio, and randomly the hostess would bring us a drink refill (hostess stand was right beside our table). That's good in a way, they are all a team, but she also picked up my plate and silverware after only the first appetizer - mind you they bring everything out as it's ready, so don't expect the whole table to eat together, you are expected to share! When I asked if she could replace my silverware, she grabbed a fork and knife and handed to me, but they weren't rolled in a napkin or anything, just barehanded me some silverware... anyway, I thought that was odd. Overall, the food had some bright spots and perhaps worth a lunch if you are downtown. I probably wouldn't seek it out again, but I'm not mad about the meal we had either.
