We've been here before over a year ago and loved even about it! Delicious and unexpected. One of those places you tell everyone you see about. This time when we went we were disappointed that they were closed. We had looked forward to experiencing it again. This is the second time we've come as a couple around our anniversary just to enjoy the entire area. My wife brings her sister for the Jane Austen Festival; so she gets to enjoy it more. As you can imagine, it was frustrating for us. But that's not their fault; business owners do need days off & we should've checked out the places hours before going. It doesn't change how good it is when we are able to try it. read more

I was super excited to go try this place for the first time. I Ordered the Big Wu when it opened and took it to go and it was incredibly salty!! Like incredibly. I was disappointed and tried to take all of the salt off but I couldn't get it all off no matter what. I tore off the crepe that was affected and that was all I could do. Otherwise, the inside was okay. Wish it was a better experience for the price. read more

Came here last night and the crepes were soooo good! The fruit was fresh and the crepes were hot! I got the Nutella banana and strawberry crepe and I wish there was some more fruit in it but It was the end of the day so it was to be expected. It's located in wolf branch market which is super cute. The lady working the counter even brought my crepe to me which was so nice of her. read more

I am so happy this spot is still going strong! Over the years, they have added to their menu and have gotten a bigger space. The staff are always helpful and the food continues to be delicious! Try the Crème brûlée and have them add strawberries. It will cost around $15. The custard is delicious but you need the strawberries to add texture and flavor. The presentation is unique and it's so good! read more

We stopped here after walking around mount Dora and looking for food sources and this grabbed our interest . Claire was not there but our crepe maker was pleasant and took our order for two large crepes and one desert crepe for a party of four adults.. it did not take long to have her produce our main meal crepes of turkey, cheese and pesto and it was delectable and just the right size for two for a mid afternoon snack meal and the cheese cake strawberry dessert crepe split among four of us hit the spot well. read more

These crepes are thin and warm and fresh! The powder sugar is the perfect touch!! Try their seasonal flavor right now called the Rae Rae. It's pumpkin cheesecake, caramel, pecans, cinnamon & whipped cream. This is a small spot with high top tables. read more

What a wonderful local gem! This place is inside the Mount Dora marketplace which is kind of a gathering of multiple food businesses at the corner of 4th and Donnelly. So here's what they do, they make crepes. All kinds of crepes. Savory, sweet, and then they seem to do a lot of seasonal specials based on local fruits. Finally tried it and wow! These are fantastic. What a unique treat that you don't find everywhere. The owners and the staff are so incredibly nice and the food is delicious. Whether you want more of a lunch, or a sweet snack, all of them have been really delicious. I love this place. read more

It might be a bit hard to find, so I recommend entering through the side door and going up the ramp to get inside. I got the "something good" and I loved it. The cheesecake filling wasn't too sweet and there was a good amount of it. They were a bit light with the strawberry syrup though. I also had to wait for about 15 minutes because 2 people were ahead of me, so I wouldn't expect to wait too long if you go. There's also a nice seating area around the corner to eat. read more

Claire's is one of our family's go-to spots in downtown Mount Dora: *Location is PRIME, right on our way to whatever other shopping etc we're doing, *they've got a good amount of both sweet and savory crepes, so whether we're doing brunch or snack or dessert or easy supper, there's something everyone can be happy with, from my picky 6-year old to my "I need protein" husband *the staff are always very friendly, and super quick! I don't know anywhere else in town where our whole family can have a healthy, scratch-made hot meal in front of us within (usually) about 15 minutes. *They're reasonably-priced! The crepes are like $10-$12 apiece and very substantial. I usually get one to share with one of my kids, actually. We stopped in during Light Up Mount Dora last night, and were amazed that the team still seemed happy and energized, and they were able to get all of our crepes to us really quickly, considering the crowd! This is our Friday night dessert spot in mount Dora. She is always so nice and sweet when you order. The crepes are made to order so you do wait like 5 mins lol but it's fresh and yummy and warm and perfect. There is seating outside the space inside is a little tight but it's the market place spot with other foods. read more

The crepe was delicious. It was hot and fresh. It was in a cute shared space. A few restaurants to choose from in one building. The staff was friendly and helpful. Seating is limited so plan accordingly. I should have asked for light fruit spread but that's on me. The flavor was a little strong for my taste. I would certainly eat here again. The have two types of crepes savory and sweet. I had the strawberry shortcake one, that had cream cheese and strawberries inside and powder sugar on the outside and an extra cream cheese on the side. It was the right amount of sweetness and not too sweet. The service was good, and you may have to wait a little bit to order if the places it busy. It's inside the market area of Mount Dora in the back of the building and is very small inside but they have a bunch of great options to choose from. read more

I'm pretty accommodating and bringing my discretionary purse from out of town to spend on tasty, authentic ethnic food. We strolled around and through the maze of start-up shared space shops on Donnelly St seeking the promise of a real French style crepe. However, our Claire's Creperie experience was a downer. The crepes we ordered were merely aspirational. These "crepes" were paper thin, cold and worth nowhere near what we paid for them. We took two bites and chucked them in the trash. I would be ashamed to serve food like this to anyone. This is not a restaurant but more like a food truck sized kitchen operation with one small table directly in the middle of the foot traffic area with no doors and blaring music. The service was unsmilingly rendered and ambiance is non-existent. You have been warned! read more

If you're debating if its worth it the answer is YES! I got the Nutella crepe with strawberries and bananas and I loved it! I also got the scrambler with ham and it was ok, not my favorite but I'm also much more into sweets than I am into salty foods. They didn't have much seating outside but lucky for me there wasn't that many people there so I was able to find a table. So it may be difficult during the weekend but during the week you should have no trouble finding somewhere to sit. The area is also super cute, perfect for a nice stroll. Definitely recommend trying it. read more

Went to Claire's for lunch today and had a great meal. My Monte Cristo crepe was one of the best I've ever eaten, love the raspberry glaze on top. The place is super cute and in such a fun location, it's inside a little marketplace with other restaurants. I only wish there was more seating. My party was able to get a table, but I worry that at a busier time we may not have. Regardless, the crepes were delicious, service not bad, and decor was cute. The only piece of feedback I have is that the Crepe Brulee was a bit overpowering. It's rolled into a cone unlike a typical crepe with creme brulee filling in the middle, and I almost wish it was just made as a regular crepe as it was messy to eat and had too much filling in my opinion. Girl working was so nice, suggested substitutes for my vegetarian friend, and then made us the best crepes (we got the scrambler). They are good size and filling. Claire's Creperie started as a "someday" dream. Someday turned into October 15, 2019 and Tada!! Here we are living the dream and loving every moment of it!!

Meet the Business Owner: Claire E.

I grew up with a mother who loved crepes, and a father who loved my mother. Every special occasion we would celebrate by making mom crepes in bed. We would all pile in bed with her and enjoy the deliciousness! When I moved out Crepes became a tradition I took with me. I would make them for my friends and family, special events, and friends vacation every year. They were scrumptious and sentimental. A few yeas ago we opened our home and started hosting international students. They quickly let me know that their favorite after school snack was crepes (except they referred to them as pancakes). They each taught me their twist on how to make the perfect crepe. So Claire's Creperie was born... a conglomerate of tradition, fond memories, sentiment, culture, and pure deliciousness! I am so excited for you to come in and try a crepe and become a part of our continuing story!

The menu wasn't overwhelming and I always think that's a good sign that most of the food is being prepared fresh and not pulled from a freezer. My mom ordered the fish sandwich with tomato and cucumber salad. After ordering the Italian Haley said they were out of beef until the owner arrived so I went for the day's special which was a seafood basket: two pieces of fried fish, four huge shrimp and clam strips. Clam strips are not my favorite but these were very crisp and tasty. It was served with fries and cold slaw. We both agreed the food was very good. I asked for some cocktail sauce and after a few minutes she came back with saying she had to make some. It was fantastic, very horseradish forward which I loved. I am glad we couldn't locate our first two choices since we got to eat at this funky little place and have the best server in all of Mt. Dora.

It is a small bakery and you can tell the bread is made there. They seem to run out pretty fast, so to get the best selection you will need to get there early. I stopped close to 4pm and they had a limited selection. The girl will bag the bread for you, you just have to point or tell her what you want. I did not like that she gave me what she reached instead of the one I told her I wanted. The bread is flavorful, fresh and it will satisfy your Mexican bread craving. Now that Mexican bread is not sweet like American pastries, so you won't find that flavor profile here. I like Mexican sweet bread, so it is perfect for me.

Since it's located in the market, you will find a small stand where they are across from the mimosas and dole whips, right across from them is a BBQ place and down the hall you will find Colombian arepas and crepes. Check them out at the Mount Dora marketplace for quick and yummy Lebanese food. They will definitely welcome you!

New no outside beverage policy. They don't offer lattes and we were all ordering breakfast, not just sitting around drinking coffee from home. Was told they make most of their money off coffee? Isn't it like $3 with refills? Not like I bought my own eggs. Cool. Left and went to waffle house. Prob wont be back. So, they lost $30-$40 in sales because of a $3 coffee? Sound business decision.

If you don't know what SOS stands for, look it up... it's a great breakfast item. The SOS is not the same as the biscuits and sausage gravy because that is sausage gravy, the SOS has chipped beef in gravy and usually will come on toast, but I prefer it with the biscuits. I asked for my eggs over easy and they were just right. The side of grits comes in a small bowl which is a good portion for one person and the pancakes were humongous - a very good size for two pancakes and golden brown... I ended up sharing with my wife. We were very happy with the service that they gave us and one of the managers came around to see if everything was good or if we needed anything and we really appreciated that. This is a very down to earth place where it feels like home. It's a great place to bring the family, and we did see a lot of people with their kids, but, we also saw couples like myself and my wife sharing some good coffee or sweet tea and loving life. We are definitely coming back because I wanna try the teriyaki chicken plates and I'm very interested in the shrimp and scallops.

Most places try. Bagel Brothers absolutely nails it. The bagels are fresh, the breakfast sandwiches are ridiculously good, and every bite tastes like a little piece of home. This simple but attractive bagel shop serves up one of my all-time favorite flavors, impossible to find anywhere else (Einstein Bros. even discontinued it): sun-dried tomato. The great thing about that flavor is it almost tastes like pizza. I could NOT believe they had it here. Whoo hoo! Very friendly team here and I will definitely return because I want to try one of their delicious bagels with a bacon and egg sandwich. Bagel baddies!
