Yelpers came through, yet again! The food we ordered and service were excellent! The better half ordered their Twisted Cuban sandwich and although I had a sandwich already picked out (from their online menu) in my mind, they had a daily special on the board that caught my interest - a prime rib double patty burger w/ cheeses. The chef explained how she prepares the patties and cooks them up - SOLD! I went for it, and so happy I did! It was one of the best burgers I have ever had - BURP! Whatever the seasonings were (I have no doubt she told me, but forgot) were great and the meat was so tender and juicy (not greasy). I've had pleasant dreams about this burger ever since. It came with homemade chips too, which were good. The Twisted Cuban was also enjoyed by the wife. Although we will return when we visit Mount Dora and my goal will be to have one of their delicious looking sandwiches I may have to have that darn burger again if they happen to have it on their specials board! Meat is fresh and Service is great. I wasn't sure what I wanted on one of the meats and sliced it for me and let me taste it just to see if it was something I wanted to invest in. I cannot imagine going to another meat market for my cold cuts now that I've experienced their customer service. Their hours are verified online, but it's easy to park and run into them at the corner. While I was there, I noticed several people came in to get sandwiches and their Service was friends and multiple people were saying how much they liked it. They have a few tables indoors as well as outdoors where you can sit different sandwich and have something to sip on as well. Nothing fancy here, but definitely delectable.

My husband and I have been searching for a German bakery since we both have a sweet tooth for baked goodies. He's been telling me about how legendary German goulash tastes since before we got married (it's been a few years now ) and the Yalaha Bakery menu mentioned seasonal soup including goulash so of course we had to stop here. We visited on a rainy Wednesday afternoon around 4:45 pm. This place has modest architecture and a small parking lot, but don't let that fool you since as soon as you open the door, there are 4 glorious levels of tasty treats under a refrigerated glass display and fresh bread in shelves behind the counter. There were about 4 customers in the shop and a few others that came in while we were ordering. Everything looked so delectable, so it was hard to choose from the huge variety! Our bakery order ended up being quite large, so I'm glad my husband brought the cooler with him. We got 1 rhubarb pie (for a gift), 1 rhubarb streusel (another gift), 1 apple streusel, 1 German apple pie, 1 tiramisu, 2 lavender shortbread cookies, 1 eclair, 1 cream horn, 1 Brazilian caramel bar, 4 pretzel rolls, and 4 large pretzels. There might be a few other things as well. The order was about $125 with tip. Excellent customer service by the counter girl, and she was very patient while we were deciding on things. After we packed our pastries in the cooler, we went back to check out the deli section. They had a lot of German deli items to choose from, but what I was really interested in was the goulash. The very kind counter lady (possibly the owner?) took my order, and I couldn't have asked for a heartier, soul-warming soup for about $6. The meat was cooked to soft perfection. The veggies (peppers, tomato, and potato if I recall correctly) melted away while you sipped the soup that tasted like it was made by your favorite extra-skilled German grandma. I was in stew heaven. Of course, I shared a few spoonfuls with my husband, and it was gone in a few minutes. All in all, we discovered that Yalaha Bakery is a hidden gem in Yalaha, FL. If you love bakeries and handmade treats like we do, this is a great place to visit. Prepare your bank account to splurge on pastries, artisan German bread, and remember to stop by the deli! We'll be back again next time we're in the area on one of our road trips.

So delicious! They have quite a few specialty options and my goal is to try at least several of them. Thumbprint had perfect notes of cherry and almond to enjoy. Since it was the evening, they were closed and I didn't get to experience it and Umatilla is a little bit out of my normal drive. This location is literally a mile from my house. I went on opening day and the line moved quickly. The place was packed with smiling faces and it smelled delicious. I ordered two coffees, one cold brew with no ice and the other a Grizzly coconut cream pie oat milk latte with a bear shot. Let me tell you, this is one of the best coffees I've ever had. The cold brew alone itself is so smooth and rich. It's perfectly balanced. The flavored coffee was perfectly balanced, and the bear shot was perfect with the grizzly size because as it melted, the coffee stayed potent and never tasted water down. I will definitely be coming here often.- don't run away from the prices they are worth every penny and you get what you pay for. The store was clean and I watched the workers come from around the counter to clean after every table emptied within minutes. They have a great mural that plenty of people were taking pictures of it. That is dedicated to Mount Dora the place is both tastebud and aesthetically pleasing.

What disappointed me and threw me for a loop was that the bacon is already cooked microwavable bacon. I honestly have had enough with these restaurants that are serving cooked microwavable, bacon and charging $3.99 for it. If you want to charge $3.99 for three pieces of bacon, it better start being fucking real bacon. I am now walking into restaurants and flat out asking them if it's the microwavable pre-cooked bacon or if it's real raw bacon before they even think about charging me that much. It doesn't happen much in restaurants, but I noticed that I haven't said anything when I do find that they serve it and I'm not doing that shit anymore. Other than that, like I said, everything else was subpar the home fries were cooked well and were seasoned pretty well. The eggs were subpar just your standard eggs. The kiddo loved her hot cake and sausage. She did mention the same thing about the bacon. other than that like I said service was great. Definitely noticed a lot of the waitresses like to gossip but they were all really sweet, but I guess that's what we all do at work. Also, this is for anybody that reads this that goes to any restaurant start keeping an eye on your freaking children. When we were in there, we kept noticing that there was a child that was literally just walking around, touching every single freaking table that was vacant and cleaned, and the parents weren't doing a damn thing about it, but touching all over each other and ignoring their children, and the dad spent the majority of his time on his phone. Be a better parent and engage with your children and keep an eye on your children and again that part does not affect the rate of this restaurant.
