Me and a couple friends went into claire's to have a look around, probably buy lots of necklaces because we are very big fans of the store. however, from the moment we walked into the store we were followed and judged by two wrinkly old wenches. we lightly touched a display and they got very upset, which i do not understand why since this is a kids store. i would not recommend anyone to come here. i suggest you fire the grey haired hag. read more

The manager at the Silverdale location is beyond unprofessional and RUDE. I have had several encounters with her over the last few months and all of them were incredibly negative. After my encounter with her today i will never be returning to Claire's, which is a huge bummer because my daughter and my niece absolutely love when I take them here to shop. The first occasion I came here with my niece and daughter and the manager had the gate to the store down. She was sitting in front of it on her phone. We looked around confused as to why it was closed and she noticed us and said we had to wait for her lunch break to be over. We sat at a table next to her while she played on her phone for ten minutes. Then after picking out over $100 worth of merchandise I found out that more than half of it was price marked incorrectly. Items that were marked at $15 rang up for $2.99. Of course this was a pleasant surprise, but if I had known I was saving so much money, I would have purchased way more stuff. As the manager you would think she would be on top of her price increases and decreases, and that's NEVER the case. Also, I have worked in retail stores (as the manager) where I was the employee on staff. I would have NEVER made a customer wait for me unless I had an emergency. Playing games on your phone is not an emergency. It screams "I don't want your business". Today I came in to replace the earrings we got for my daughter when she had her ears pierced there. I walked into the store and there was no one on the sales floor. I was in a hurry to take my daughter to school so I picked up the little glass case that displays the earrings for piercing. She finally walked out and yelled to me to not touch that case because of covid. Then she left again without helping me, to get sanitizing spray to clean it in front of me. I was curious if I can't touch the case, can I touch anything else in the store? Or is it "you touch it you buy it"? This logic makes absolutely zero sense to me and she was unbelievably rude. I finally was able to tell her what earrings I wanted (after she sanitized the case of earrings that contains display only items) and she looked confused about my request, said she had no idea how much they were because they came with cleaning solution and had no idea if she had them. I said well I'll take the cleaning solution, we love it (since it's free). She went into the back again for awhile and then came back out and got on the phone with her back to me. She never told me the price of the earrings, if they had them in stock or even what she was doing. She remained on the phone for a few minutes, continued to ignore me and my daughter for about five minutes, then I realized I had to hurry and leave, so I left! I went to piercing pagoda where I was promptly assisted, the sales rep knew the prices off the top of her head and I checked out within five minutes! She also let me touch the earrings and the case without yelling at me about covid or sanitizing next to me and my child. Even though I don't know how much the earrings at Claire's would have been (because the manager didn't either), I know for certain I probably paid double at piercing pagoda. But frankly, I don't care. I have never had such consistently poor service at any establishment before. I plan to tell my friends and family to steer clear of here from here on out. read more

I got 2 piercings in each ear a month ago at this location. I purchased the more $$ gold posts to make sure they healed well. Both ears got horribly infected after a day and hurt so badly that after 3 or 4 days of cleaning them and trying I removed all of them. I thought it was me but then a friend told me that many infections have resulted from this particular location and spend the money at an actual piercing studio. read more

I have always loved Claire's ever since I was a kid. My little girl is so spoiled in here now, and I love taking her in here. The wall of headbands is our favorite. There seem to be hundreds to choose from. The selection of seasonal accessories is also pretty fantastic. Easter jewelry, July 4th headbands, Christmas earrings, St Patty's green everything, the list goes on and on. The staff is helpful and they are always chatty with my little girl and it help make her feel like she is the one doing the shopping. A great experience for her. read more

this place has awful customer service. the employees are lazy and rude. as soon as me and my boyfriend walked in, the old hag manager screamed at us to not touch the products on display. she followed us throughout the store to watch us and reminded us multiple times to not touch anything, even if we were interested in buying. she said this was because it took forever to "make cute" . she made us very uncomfortable along with the other employees, staring at us the whole time we were in the store and sighing at us. she also made random rude remarks. do not come here and claires should consider firing the old cunt manager. read more

Just got back from doctor. Raging ear infection caused by bad cartilage piercing @ kitsap mall Claire's. For the record, the lobe piercing I got same day (5 days ago) is fine, but those guns and earrings they have aren't suitable for cartilage piercings. Post too short; making cleaning difficult. For the record, I've had many piercings (including nipples) and have never gotten an infection. I think the gun Claire's uses is bad for cartilage because instead of removing a piece of cartilage (like how they do at tattoo piercing parlors, at least in my experience - which is nose and nipples) and then inserting an earring into the space, the gun just blows the cartilage away from the hole. Cartilage, unlike lobe skin, is much harder to heal. To make it worse, b/c earring post isn't very long (lobe and cartilage posts are all same length there) I couldn't slide earring back and forth to get cleaner inside hole. The swelling was awful, and short post length disallowed ear from expanding/swelling then going back to normal. Instead skin tried to grow through back of earring. I removed earring but infection was already too far along. Infection is bad, whole side of neck and head are throbbing. Now I'm on heavy duty antibiotics. My fault for not going to a real piercing place but I don't want others to make the mistake I did and go to Claire's. Lobes they can do. But not cartilage. read more

I stopped in here this morning to grab some earrings since they were having a buy one get one for $2 sale. She told me my total was $25, I decided to donate a dollar to st. Jude, so my total was $26. Now looking at my receipt my total after tax was only $22.74 and she only gave me a couple dollars in change from $30, which means she stole a few dollars from me. Hopefully she's not doing that to every customer. read more

I'm normally not one to leave extremely negative reviews. However, on March 19th 2020 at approximately 11 am, i went to kitsap mall where i had hoped to get an ear piercing at this establishment. I was there right as they were opening. However, instead of opening on time, my friend and i see the lady who was supposed to be running the store walking around FaceTiming someone while the gate was still closed so people couldn't even go inside to shop. When the lady finally opened the store, i went up to her and told her i had a question. She didn't hesitate to say "oh well i need to finish my phone call but you can look around". I told her i just had a quick question and she ignored me and turned away to continue her phone conversation. I have honestly never seen such unprofessional behavior. I ended up leaving the store without asking my question because i tend to support businesses that strive in professionalism. This just wasn't one of them. I took my 10 year old daughter to the Claire's in Silverdale today to have her ears pierced. It was an awesome experience. Lisa, who was working alone, explained the process, etc. and definitely helped my daughter relax. I've never seen my girl smile like she did once she had the first one done! No problem on #2 either. For those who might be leary of this kind of ear piercing (gun), don't be. The earring, which has a point, is a great way to be sure the hole will heal correctly and stay open forever. The key, KEEP THEM CLEAN AND KEEP TWISTING. Unless you, or your child or whomever, is willing to take care of them afterwards, the doctor or any other piercing method, won't give you good results. My daughter had her ears pierced at Claires in Silverdale a few days ago. When we came home the backing of the earring on one of her ears wasn't there so I found an old one of mine and put it on. Yesterday the earring came out completely. Today I called Claires to see how much they would charge to repierce the one ear. They said that they would re-pierce the ear at no extra cost with the same style of earring. They were very sweet and professional. Also both tops they put on new gloves and then even with the gloves wiped down the gloves with an anti-bacterial agent. read more
