We booked the suite and it was really nice. There were two queen beds and a sofa bed in the living room. We were able to put the snorer in our group in the living room and keep the noise outside. Very spacious. Had a kitchen and small table for two. Breakfast was better than I could hope. Hot waffles, eggs, bacon or sausage (depending on the day) and potatoes. Coffee, toast, muffins, fruit, etc. All in all a good way to start the day and there was plenty of seating. Very friendly staff. Free cookies and lemonade by the lobby desk. I have to take one star off because the living room TV did not work for two days. Unless you like staring at a blue screen. read more

My family had an amazing stay here. Room was big enough for family of 4, clean and comfy bed. Plenty of breakfast and the ladies keep refilling it. We came here for a quick weekend away and stayed two nights. The prices were reasonable and the front desk staff were so nice. There is a bar in the lobby that has a fantastic happy hour! The bartender, Heidi, was so sweet and did a wonderful job. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The parking was easy and we felt safe staying here. No Frills but ok for a straightforward overnight stay. I braced myself after seeing some reviews, but I just wanted a place to sleep and asl long as it is clean enough, I would be okay. I did hear about staff who are indifferent to the needs of customers, but I experience friendly service. I am not saying this is a star hotel with concierge and pool or anything, but it's a basic place and the front desk was very nice, tried to give me a better room and took care of us. If you get there after midnight and already has a reservation, the front is locked. They would ask you to go to the sister inn across the street to pick up the key card. You can then enter from the side doors. Luckily, we got there 5 minutes before midnight and the friendly staff was there to help us and even made sure we got a nicer room. The one assigned to us earlier apparently was the one unusually tiny room. She told me a lot of people complained about it. Note: if you check in, you might want to ask if you are getting the smallest room in the establishment and if you can get a bigger one if you like. Really we didn't plan on spending much time in the room, so we really just kind of looked for something that had a good rate and reasonable reviews.....enter the Clarion Inn. We arrived and they were all properly geared up to ensure social distancing was properly achieved and went as far as to have a container of clean unused pens and a discard container for once use pens. Very professional! Great location that was really close to the outdoor adventures we were looking to have while in Page, AZ. Room was clean and had plenty of room for the two of us. Even though it may not be the newest hotel/Inn in town, it looks like they have taken exceptional care of this place. Couldn't be happier with our stay here. Dirty, very dirty. The room we were placed in was so dusty and disgusting! Looks like it wasn't cleaned in months. I requested a room change and was told they were all full and the room had been cleaned. Then, they gave me the room next door, who they placed someone else in and moved them, without cleaning in between. This place was everything we wanted and needed. Honestly, I've stayed in many, many hotels and lots of super fancy ones, but this one did exactly what it needed to do and was super clean. The beds were clean, the shower was lovely and the water pressure was perfect. They offered a free breakfast and it was pretty great. It was definitely above the expectations for a free breakfast. The morning staff was rude and did not allow a bunch of senior customers get some coffee 15 minutes before the breakfast area would "officially " open. Upon entrance the lady at the counter was welcoming and very helpful. She gave us slot of info on when and where to go. The place is nice and clean as well as bathroom for public. Quiet room and very smooth soft sheets. Pillows were comfortable but think the house keeping slack off on this room as the toilet didn't look wipe down and the pillows smell of someone else's BO. While waiting the next morning, the front desk host gentleman name Gib was super duper helpful. He ask us where we were going and offer advice on how to get there, even help us call the place and download an app to help take better photos. He went beyond the call of service to help us out on my opinion. I would give it 5 stars but house keeping kept me from using the room comfortable. read more

If I could give zero stars or negative stars, I would, this place is a dump. We stayed here for two nights. The first night we came in around 9pm, we had a long trip and were very tired. I was taking a bath and my husband was grabbing some drinks and snacks for us, our 4 year old was coloring and drawing in the room. I had the door open and she would walk in showing me her drawings. She walks in saying she found a "crayon" which I thought she found a small broken crayon near the bed. Then she opens her hand and shows me the "crayon", when I looked at her hand, it was not a crayon, it was a big bright red pill. I jumped up and grabbed it from her hand, I asked where she got it and she said by the bed. Just then my husband walked in and ran to the restroom and asked what happened. I told him she had this huge red pill and found it by the bed, her hands were red and I told him to wash her hands. We asked if she put it in her mouth, she told us she licked it and I hurried an searched up the "ETH" on the pill. We found out it was a 500mg Excedrin headache pill, I monitored her for 20mins and she said she was fine. She showed me her tongue and the tip was red. We called the front desk and they asked if we needed an ambulance but I told her that she just licked a small fraction of the pill. The front desk told us to come tomorrow to talk to a manager. After the incident my husband checked the whole room for anything else she could get into. Come to find out the room was filthy! He found crumbs, candy, coins, trash all around the bedding area, he pulled the couch that was in our room out and found rags and trash. He also found rags stuffed into the couch cushions. I was really disgusted. I stayed up a few hours just watching my daughter. Then morning came and my husband went to the front desk, he was told they were busy and to come back in a hour. I went down an hour later and the assistant manager said there was nothing she could do, she told us the manager would be in tomorrow. We went down to talk to the manager and the manager never came to see us, just the assistant manager who was running back and forth telling us what the manager said. She told us since we stayed the second night they couldn't do anything. We weren't planning on this happening, so how are we suppose to find another hotel so quick? We were busy Sunday with family and didn't expect this to happen. She said since we didn't call the police or the ambulance there is nothing they can do. I asked why the room was so dirty in the first place and her excuse was "It was the housekeepers first day" I asked " If it is their first day why is there not a second person double checking the rooms? In case they need to work on cleaning certain areas they missed?" She just told me, they are short staffed and that would be time consuming. I told her this is a hotel and a room being that messy should be unacceptable, this shouldn't be how they run a hotel. She told me she isn't running a hotel and that it's not her job to "run a hotel". I asked her who is in charge of the hotel and she just said not her. We stayed here because a relative got us a good deal and we were traveling for Easter weekend. It was our first time staying at the Clarion Inn, and it will be our last. There are some better hotels in the area that are more decent, I'm just glad our daughter is fine. I read a similar incident happening in PHX where a toddler ate a pill found in a hotel and ended up in the hospital. So if you have kids or even pets, I would recommend a different hotel or just double check your rooms for anything that can possibly harm your baby or fur baby. I have some photos on the bottom, as you can see the carpet is dirty, the pill is about where my daughter said she found it. We stayed at Clarion Inn for one night to visit Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon. The only good thing about this place is free WiFi and I slept like a rock! Everything else was bad- the front desk is not friendly and their tv doesn't work. They also will not let you do an early check in. Their free breakfast is gross! The bacon tasted like paper and their eggs were watery and bland. It's amazing how much great customer service changes your experience! I probably will never come back to Clarion Inn. The front desk was extremely unaccommodating when we wanted to check in a few hours early as we had a 2 yr old sleeping in our car. We had to just go to the park nearby and lay her down in the shade until it was closer to check in time! The parking lot was empty too so how do they not have rooms available?? I don't understand. I've stayed at a couple "shady" hotels over the past 40 years, but this one is really the worst. A TERRIBLE hotel. Carpet in hallways is dated, dirty, and smells moldy. Walls are dingy and dirty. Could not use the front exit until 7am (the hotel is closed after-hours) and had to use a side exit then walk an extra 75 yards to get back to our vehicle which was parked - you guessed it - right out side the front door. We were then told Clarion is not a member of Choice Hotels and is somehow connected to Holiday Inn, in spite of the Choice Hotels marketing sign in the lobby that clearly states otherwise. Front desk staff are not well trained, and it's easy to see that Management is not concerned about it. In fact, based on our interaction, it would seem that the poor service was somehow scripted by Management. One of our group has been a Choice Hotel Member for over 20 years. She booked our stay online. When we checked in we were told there would be an ADDITIONAL $150 charge PER ROOM as a deposit "in case of any damages". Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? When we challenged, the young ladies at the desk stated that their boss said if they don't collect the $150 deposit, and there are damages, it would come out of their paychecks. Ridiculous. When we asked when the deposit would be refunded, we were told it could take up to 10 days... shady... It was late in the evening and no other vacancies could be found so we bit the bullet. So the "member rate" was $92 PLUS $150 deposit, making the per room charge $242 for a hotel not worth $10. If you are looking for a place to sleep after a long drive or brutally hot day on the lake, I would recommend finding an overpass or a recently emptied dumpster. read more

I feel that this hotel is decent enough to stay for 1-2 nights. I stayed for 1 night and I wasn't disappointed too much. Free breakfast is provided and has enough options to fill your stomach. Cereal, Yogurt, Muffins, Coffee, Sweet Treats, and Fruit is provided. I was surprised that no bagels or bread was served! I stayed in a room with kitchen and I was able to cook my food. All of the room was clean and in good condition. I was allowed to use the cart to carry my luggage. Kitchen utensils could definitely be improved. Good for a 1-2 night stay. read more

This is definitely an older hotel that needs some updates. The carpet in the hall in textured in a way that makes it look old and damaged. It gives a very bad impression when first arriving. However, the service is friendly and attentive. The room is HUGE, and I was surprised at how comfortable the beds are. I'm picky about beds and struggle to sleep in hotels, but this bed was awesome. The room had a fridge, which is a nice bonus. The hot breakfast was very good. Sausage, bacon, potatoes, biscuits and gravy. The eggs were gross, typical powdered eggs. My Dad & I stayed here 05/16/2016 on our way to Durango, CO and couldn't get out of here fast enough. I was fully ready to cut them some slack for being under renovation, but they just don't have a clue. We're pretty easy to please, but this place is an embarrassment. Dad let them know we're light sleepers and that got us a room directly next to the elevator and vending machines. The contractors performing the renovations stared work a bit before 6 a.m. and didn't make any effort to be quiet. The breakfast room has WAY too many tables crammed into it and was filthy! The eggs & sausage were cold and nasty, the tables were dirty and there was food on the floor. There was only one carafe of really bitter coffee and the bagel I decided to settle for was stale. Poor. The pool is drained and the HBO they advertise isn't available. False advertising anyone? They also only get about half of the TV stations they list on their in room guide. The receptionist .acted like we were bothering her checking in and when we dropped off our keycards in the morning she just looked at us and said "ok" like we were bugging her. No "Thanks for staying" or "How was your stay" or even a "Have a good day." Hospitality business? I think not. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place, they charge top dollar for a crummy stay and act like they're doing you a favor. read more

I felt that this hotel was a good value for the money - it has nice linens, bedding, flat panel TV, wifi, and the rooms are very spacious. The entire hotel staff was friendly and cordial. Parking was simple and leaves you very close to many restaurants, bars, etc. We walked from the Clarion to eat and have drinks. Very low key part of town. The breakfast at the Clarion was plentiful and probably slightly better than the average cheap hotel breakfast. It included a variety of items both hot and cold. I especially liked the blood oranges. The one major downside to this place is that the walls and floors must contain ZERO insulation or sound proofing of any type. I swear that if a person in the room next to you drops a piece of paper, you will be able to hear it in your room. I was actually quite surprised at just how poor the sound proofing was here. The hotel is so nicely kept and updated, that I couldn't believe they would overlook this important feature. I would rate this place as a 4.5 star if not for the sound issues. It was hard to get much sleep due to the noise issues which really brings the score down to the 3 star range. If this issue were fixed, id certainly stay again. As it is, id only stay if the hotel were basically empty to avoid the noise issues. read more

Bedding is clean and it is close to all the things you need in page (antelope, horseshoe, restaurant, gas, walmart, church). 2nd floor was going thru renovation when I stayed here so hopefully it is done by the time you guys checkin. No gym, but they provide a free gym pass to a local gym at a church. I have not checked it out, but the gym does not have a shower so you will need to work out and come back to shower. Breakfast is stocked good with hot and cold food so you can charge up for your day trip. I agree that there is sound issue where you can hear your neighbor or people walking down the hall. Overall not a bad stay. PROS: Great continental breakfast. The room is large. The sink is outside of the toilet shower area meaning multiple people can use it at once. Extremely helpful staff. A vast amount of t.v. channels. Two sockets on the bedside table lamp is a plus. The Air conditioning works. Fairly cheap compared to other places in Page. CONS: The bathroom door doesn't clear the toilet (not a big deal). There were two yellow stains on the comforter, hopefully someone just spilt coffee. This is my second time coming to Page, and decided to come back to Clarion Inn since it was good the first time. Who knew it's turning out to be horrible as I'm here writing a review. I was about to go to sleep when I felt itchy only to realize there's a couple of bed bugs, yellow and red ones. I immediately asked my sister to check her bed which she also found a few. Its disgusting. Called front desk, he said oh no and that he will come by. 15 minutes passed by still no sign of anyone so I called again to ask if he is coming. He replied saying yes and asked for my room number. Seriously? Weren't you already coming? He then came in without saying a word, no smile nor being apologetic. Examined the bed and still no word as I pointed the bugs out to him. The first thing he then said was, 'did you stayed in any other hotel before coming here?' really? Trying to put the blame back on us instead? I said no and still he wasn't apologetic and said what he can do is swap me to another room. I told him to make sure the new room has no bed bugs. He left, came back with a new key and then finally said sorry, but without any expression. Worst customer service. And dude, bed bugs! Booked a room last minute, I know it was last minute but still I expect better from a inn. Room was clean, but receptionist didn't seem to care very much and checked us in quickly. Also if want their FREE internet good luck. There is no internet. We all 3 of us had zero internet service. We used the code, says your on their internet can't get online with anything mail, texting nothing. When you ask the front desk about it, they all say their internet works fine. Like we are dummies. We checked in at almost 8pm yesterday and left at 630am today. I'm so irritated I'm making sure to put this review in extra fast so you can choose to stay elsewhere. Run, don't walk! read more

We stayed two nights here in March 2016. Let me start with the reception. The re was only one receptionist at the front desk and the hotel was fully booked for the night. You can imagine how much she was overwhelmed and exhausted by her work load. The room was average for this star level. The iron in the room was not working properly. Even there was not a napkin in the room. The hotel was in remodeling process and the following services were not available: - Business room (computer and printer) - Laundry service - main lobby for breakfast We were warned that even running water might not be available for hours! Construction people were everywhere starting 8 am and people has to walk through construction area to get in and out. And the worst part was breakfast! Obviously the staff were not enough to meet the demand of a fully booked hotel. The breakfast table was empty all the time and occasionally, some parts were refilled. One person was definitely not enough to serve a fully booked hotel and the management should have seen this ahead of time. You should stop renting out the rooms when under construction! read more

Can i rate customer service a zero? thats what i would like to do but yelp wont let me. I made a mistake on my reservation date, that's it. I called days ahead to ask to switch the date, and was told that since i paid online, they were unable to adjust, and that i would eat 100% of the cost of the room. I asked them to reconsider and was told that "you signed for it and its nonrefundable. Basically, its your fault, there is nothing we can do." I asked for a manager, "I am the manager." I asked for the owner "he won't be able to call you back." I explained to her that you run this hotel, and as the management, you can do whatever you want to take care of your paying customers. I am not an angry person and I did not yell, use profanity, or lose control. However, I find the whole line of reasoning to be unacceptable. I let her know that i would be leaving a very negative review and she made the comment that she would respond to it. If the response is anything to the effect of "you signed a nonrefundable ticket.......and so its your fault." Sure, i signed it. And I bet everyone who is reading this review has signed those as well. But I have never had someone react so strongly to a date change with zero solutions for me except you are out of luck. Was not impressed with this place. Let me start by saying I never asked to change rooms because the first thing we did was unpack all our stuff and we were only there for the night. That said, the bathroom counter was black and sticky and the refrigerator was barely colder than the room (even set on high). Our room had no reliable hot water. We ran the water 15 minutes and nothing. We called the front desk and was told to be patient that the problem would resolve itself. We finally felt the water getting hot but it only lasted about two minutes. It was too late to change hotels so I decided to try a shower the next morning early when maybe it would be better. Sadly it wasn't. I had to towel all of the shampoo and soap off of my body because the hot water went away and didn't return. I went and asked for a manager but was told there wasn't one on the premises and that I would get a phone call to discuss getting my money back. That never happened. I want my money back. read more
