"Gonna have to start being more detailed in my emails and estimates I guess and stop trying to "hook up" people. For those who dont know, We charge by the hour, we dont accept credit cards, there is at the least a one month wait for any project, we do not work on any deadlines. First payment will be made 2 days prior to scheduled start date. Any additional work not mentioned in original estimate will result in additional charges. Probably should start charging people for all the materials we use also.... " First how hard is it to take a CC? In todays world there are so many CC options for small business owners. Next we did NOT asked to get "hooked up" we just wanted our home painted well and in timely fashion. Neither of these things were accomplished. We have crooked lines all over the place, paint on light fixtures, missing hardware and a broken toilet seat in our bathroom (I assume someone stood on it rather than using a ladder) There were excuses left and right from Joe as to why everything was taking so long but I think he says it best himself in another quote from his FB page... "I've just been promoted to Expert Procrastinator! I'll tell you why later...."

DO NOT HIRE. I've…read morehad contractors work on more than a dozen homes, and Eastside painters is among the worst quality work I have ever seen. I hired them to paint my living room, kitchen, loft, and addition. Their work was so bad that the Small Claims Court ruled in my favor against them (and as of the writing of this, Tyler Pate and Jeremy Nosbush still owe more than $800 that they refuse to pay). If you did/do hire them and they are attempting to intimidate you into paying for sub-standard work, feel free to contact me directly. You can read my story below. Tyler and Jeremy, the owners of Eastside Painters, are dishonest. They did not use a single product that they bid for the job. They downgraded the wall paint quality, didn't use the same line of ceiling paint, and didn't use any primer (despite several accent walls that were dark colors). They did all of this without giving me any notice or seeking a change order of any sort. It wasn't until I was preparing for court that I was able to determine the lengths to which they went in breaching their contract. In addition to the dishonestly of corner-cutting on materials, Eastside Painters does poor quality work. They caused thousands of dollars of damage to exposed ceiling beams in two rooms. Their prep work (covering small holes and defects) was so sloppy that even they had to admit in court that they would not have accepted their own work. They lied about having done two coats of paint (which is what they bid) and were reprimanded on it in court. Finally, Tyler and Jeremy are vindictive. When I refused to pay their full invoice--offering to pay the invoice minus the cost of repairing the property they damaged--they engaged in a systematic campaign of intimidation and threats to try to get paid. They put a lien on my house, not to exercise their right to use a mechanics lien but as an attempt to intimidate me into paying the full invoice. When I refused to comply, they threatened to have felony charges brought against me (which they have no authority to do). When that didn't work, they called and/or emailed organizations I work or volunteer with and told outright lies about me in an attempt to get me removed from those organizations. Their threats and intimidation did not work on me, and if they are trying similar tactics against you, feel free to contact me directly.

They always show on time and are very courteous and safe. They had a guy come out to estimate the job and stage material and equipment including scaffolding to protect the counters above our lofted ceiling. Worker (Roy) came out the next day, and finished the entire job including texture in less than one day. Most of the work was prep: Masking, tarping, taping, to protect the rest of the kitchen and counter tops. Excellent work!

So far, the hanging and finishing skills have been above other subs we used in the past. Since working with them, my estimated time window for drywall has exceeded expectations. I'm glad I found them. They look like a large company, but work just as hard at my residential work as they did at my larger jobs. I would not hesitate exploring using them.
