The phones are very busy and I'm always impressed on her ability to multi-task with a smile on her face. I can always get in to be seen within a reasonable time frame - other dermatologists have made me wait up to four months to be seen. The staff is always professional and courteous. The office is always running on time so mine is never wasted by sitting in the waiting room for long periods waiting to be seen. Dr Greene shows how much he cares about his patients by giving the time necessary to answer all questions etc. I have never felt rushed out if there. He consistently cares more about patient care than profit by being realistic in your care and not advising you to do unnecessary procedures. I have sensitive skin and HS so I'm prone to skin problems. He's managed to get my HS completely under control which no other dermatologist was able to do. He does a fantastic job on my injectables. Long story: I have seen Christine at Epiphany (formerly Peak) Dermatology in downtown Littleton for several years for skin cancer checks. I've always been a little put off by how quickly my appointments are and how impersonal my care felt, but I trusted Christine so I sacrificed some of my comfort as a patient. However, my most recent experience has left me really upset and feeling violated. Last month for the first time, I had two pre-cancer spots that needed to be removed. During my appointment, Christine spotted a cluster at the tip of my nose and without warning, grabbed a tool and burned the skin off. I was ok with removing this spot, but I had zero warning for this to happen. I was shaken up, this was quick and painful and to be honest I felt violated. On the bottom of my foot, Christine found a mole that needed to be removed and biopsied. The only warning I got for this was her saying "You don't have plans this weekend, do you?" Again, I understand this spot needed to be removed, and I had signed a consent form for its removal, but I was left really unprepared for what followed. Christine perform a brutal punch biopsy to the ball of my foot, needing several cauterizations and deep stitches. I was told to "stay off it" and was sent home with bandages and Aquaphor. The sutures were really painful, and it was altogether horrible to walk on. For the last three weeks, I've been in bed, nearly unable to walk, and had to cancel all plans and call out of work. I returned two weeks later to get the non-dissolvable sutures removed, the assistant who performed the removal did not offer to numb the area, causing the worst pain (outside of childbirth!) I've ever experienced. It was never offered to me to numb this area - not before starting, or even when I was yelling things over and over like "Oh my god that is really painful!" After the last stitch was removed, I crawled to the floor and fainted, and the employee left the room and closed the door, saying, "I'll give you a minute." She later blamed me for not asking for a numbing shot, saying "You should have asked to have it numbed, I didn't know it was an option." While I was on the floor, Christine visited me and again was brusque, impersonal, and uncaring. She didn't stay long, and was busy visiting with pharmaceutical sales reps just outside. I was completely unprepared for the impact of this procedure. Christine asked what I was doing THAT weekend, she did not prepare me to have a deep, open wound on the sole of my foot for a month. I have had to cancel all my plans, call out of work, and rely on others to cook, clean, and help care for my kids for the last THREE+ weeks. This procedure, especially the amount of easily avoidable pain I endured, has frankly left me traumatized. I understand it's hard to get in to see a dermatologist around here, but this office is NOT WORTH IT! I can't even drive by this building without wincing anymore.

She said no and prescribed me the same medications. The way they act around a patient is so strange. There's a big chair in the center of the room that forces to to sit straight and forward and Dr. stone and her assistant would always stand slightly out of line of vision behind you so you would have to turn your neck to be able to see them. Very uncomfortable and odd. She avoids eye contact and honestly does not sound very knowledgeable or interested in the care she gives. I recently found a new dermatologist and they listened to my concerns and agreed that I had the condition I was speaking of. They switched my treatment plan and I finally saw results after 10 years of suffering with a skin condition. If you want to feel heard, respected, or in control of your treatment, I do not recommend this facility. The front desk staff is especially kind and very helpful though I will say that.

I clearly and directly addressed this with my PA, Kate Harrison, who I had been seeing intermittently, in between my annual skin checks with Dr. Asarch, before switching to a different dermatologist, for my Mohs surgery, after the doctors here breached my trust. So, why 5 stars? Because PA Kate Harrison is awesome, and I have trust in her intelligence, medical competence, and patient-focused personality, as she is extremely attentive to details, and she has done a wonderful job, within her scope of work. Kate has diagnosed and properly treated a number of skin conditions for me, due to my return to my hometown, of Denver, CO, from both coasts, San Francisco - marine climate & NoVA/Washington, DC - humid climate, so my skin needed a fair bit of adjusting, back to our dry climate. Wearing my Peloton cycling gel shorts, that are tight fitting, as well as experimenting with various full-body moisturizers, led to a few breakouts, and Kate tackled all of them, remarkably, as well as recommending tips & tricks, and products for me to use, to solve the problems. In parallel, as I return to walking on the High Line Canal & snowboarding, I've gotten a few corns on the bottoms of my feet (maybe due to my Birkenstocks, maybe due to genetics), and now we have a good cadence, of treating them every 8-weeks, and they are slowly reducing. I'm thrilled with Kate, hence the 5-stars for her. :-) Also, Forefront Dermatology has turned this office around, from a business perspective, since the acquisition, so I'm pleased with this transition away from Dr. Asarch, for this reason, as well.

The real problem - which I figured out months later after ineffective treatment - was that I was wearing abrasive boxers and with my coarse leg hair, this was causing my skin to get irritated. I am not sure why there isn't cross-cultural training at Advanced Dermatology, but this definitely isn't a place I will return if I have issues or questions in the future. They are not likely to know the correct answers.
