I called all operators offering the Puripool service and PoolSmart had a reasonable price tag and the earliest availability despite being outside their normal service area. Rick was very responsive at the get go during my evaluation phase, up until after I gave him my business and he completed the job. Poolgenx has staffing issues, accounting issues n lacks in customer service. Their management team does not have the time to address issues or return a response to text messages. I have a very large pool that if not cleaned or treated properly will develop yellow algae. Because of Poolgenx staff issues their techs do not pay attention as they are brushing the walls of the pool to add additional chemicals if there is algae. Their rotation of personnel n lack of clients key control, have created a lot of issues. A recent tech never returned the key to my gate. It has taken PoolGenx over a month to provide a lock box for their lack of control. Currently my pool service is in limbo because the current tech does not know who will be assigned to my pool. As to accounting issues, I've had PoolGenx tell me that I was past due on my account about four times. They are set up on auto pay but even then PoolGenx argued that they never received payment. Thank goodness for B of A because they quickly called PoolGenx to confirm payment had been received n they had deposited the check. Finally, when hiring a pool service I have to make sure their staff are good with dogs. I have 2 Boston Terriers n they are very friendly n loving. One pool service company tech used the pool pole that is used to brush the pool to hit one my dogs. I have cameras throughout my property so I can monitor everything, so when I saw that I immediately fired the company. The cameras also confirm how much time techs spent cleaning my pool and how much chemicals are used. It's a shame you cannot trust some service companies to provide the service you are paying for.

A few things that caused me to terminate service with the fact that the pool kept running low on water, other then telling me to fill it they never mentioned the fact that I had multiple leaks from that equipment so as much as I would fill the pool, the following week, it would be low again. It wasn't until I pointed out water near the equipment and asked them where it was coming from that they then mentioned I have a crack in the filter. I also had to ask them why my spa kept draining and again it wasn't until I asked the question three weeks in a row that they said all the valves might be bad. On top of the valves, needing to be replace, I had leaks in the piping as well, which they failed to mention. I had the water tested a day after they had come to clean the pool and the pool was low on chemicals and pH was off. Lastly, I just had my filter replaced by another company and the inside of the filter was extremely dirty to include the bottom of the filter which we paid for them to clean March of this year so a month later the filter shouldn't look like that and the bottom was filed with dirt. Also, if they clean the filter in March, that was another opportunity for them to mention that the filter casing was cracked but again that was not part of their report. I hired somebody to replace my equipment, and I found another pool service who initially had to add quite a bit of chemicals to get everything working the way its supposed to. I would not recommend this company.
