    BLT on Sourdough

Highly recommend Clark Point Cafe for breakfast! This was one of our favorite spots to eat on our trip. We had the BLT on sourdough and the Two Eggs Your Way, both were excellent. The staff is friendly and the operation is efficient.

I was a little taken back by the line out the door and limited seating but I'm sooo glad we waited! Line moved very fast, service was excellent and coffee was outstanding!

Went out to Maine in 2025 and found the Clark Point Cafe in Bar Harbor. Great vibe and even better food. Saw the Turkish Eggs being served as I came in and knew it was what I'd order. No regrets! Fantastic meal and properly portioned. Friendly staff and a great place to eat. Go there!

So good I forewent my plans to try any other breakfast place near Acadia to come here twice instead. Genuinely the best food I had during my trip. Stand outs include the Turkish eggs (soooo flavorful), Dutch baby (the Dutch baby was good but it was the blueberry jam that really elevated it, getting it with the blueberries is a must), and sticky bun (absolutely stellar!). I also highly recommend the eggs Benedict (they do their poached egg dishes very well here) and the tomato feta pastry. Only thing I wouldn't recommend is the shakshuka (overly spicy, flavor not the best).

This was my second time visiting & I ended up ordering even more than the first. I originally planned to try a new spot, but nothing else was open around that time so I came back here, and I'm glad I did. I started with two toasted bagels with cream cheese. They were fine, not the freshest bagels I've had, but they had a good amount of cream cheese, just okay overall. The croissant was large and nicely toasted, likely not baked in-house (gave off Costco croissant vibes), but it came with a really tasty berry spread. The blueberry scone, however, wasn't great. Not a fan of the texture or flavor on that one. For coffee, I tried the dirty chai and a regular drip coffee, both solid and satisfying. But the real showstopper was the lavender latte. I'm obsessed. It was fragrant, smooth, and perfectly balanced. Easily my favorite part of the visit. I also had the BLT sandwich and the smoked salmon tartine. Both were delicious. You could tell the same ingredients (pickles, veggies, capers) were used across multiple items, but it still worked well and tasted fresh. Lastly, I ordered the Dutch baby pancake. The presentation was lovely, and it was freshly made, but the flavor was just okay, I've had better. The overall experience was really fun. People around us were checking out my food and even asked for recommendations. The staff also acknowledged our spread, which made it feel even more welcoming.

This cafe on the quiet side of the island offers freshly made hot breakfast as well as pastries and a substantial freezer section. I don't really go for the egg breakfasts, so my savory options were limited. However, the sweet side of things suited my tastes. When I ordered a Dutch baby oven pancake, they asked if I wanted it plain, which I was a tad insulted by. Who goes to Maine and doesn't get the blueberries? The blueberries were not fresh but instead came preserved in syrupy form with some other fruit and maple syrup on the side. This excess of flavor was a fine vacation indulgence for me. Their interpretation of a London Fog was also quite sweet, which I didn't expect and didn't really need. Thus, I didn't go for any pastries, but I have to say they looked nice.

I am obsessed with this cafe & I'll definitely be returning!!! I initially came here because I saw they have Chai but I was even happier to see they have Matcha too! It was soo good and, despite how busy they were, the drinks didn't take long to come out!! I definitely need to come back to try their food. The lights and flowers all around the restaurant are so pretty and definitely made for beautiful scenery

    Blueberry Dutch Pancake. Very good!

We had a delicious breakfast at Clark Point Cafe while in Southwest Harbor. My husband had the blueberry Dutch pancakes and I had the classic eggs Benedict over home fries. The latte was one of the best I've ever had. The decor was so pretty and the place had such a great vibe. I highly recommend you stop in for breakfast. We will be hitting this place up again before we leave. Update! We came 1 more time before we left MDI. Just as great if not better than the first! We got some Pastries to take with us this time. We also got the Blueberry Lemon Bun but ate it so quick in the car I didn't get a picture. We will miss this place!

I loved the blueberry Dutch baby pancake which was light and fluffy and reminded me of a popover. There was a good amount of blueberry syrup and caramelized syrup to add to the pancake. They also had a good hot pumpkin coffee. We also ordered quiche and a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon to go and those were delicious as well. The cafe was busy on a Friday morning and the service was great!

What a LOVELY cafe! This is such a sweet spot for delicious pastries and a hearty breakfast! Try the Shakshuka! The eggs are poached beautifully, the bread is fresh and the daikon carrots take this dish over the top. The service was spectacular and the location is perfect. Inside seating available as well as sidewalk seating. The line can get long (it's popular for a reason!) but the service is fast and efficient so don't give up!

Quaint spot that was thankfully open on a Sunday. My mom and I loved the French toast. My husband loved his Turkish eggs and I thought the bite I had of his was super flavorful. Even though it was busy, the employees were on top of their game and very accommodating for our group of 4 when there was limited seating. I had an iced blueberry latte that was good, but I personally didn't taste the blueberry. We didn't get any of the pastries but they all looked amazing.

I recommend you come during the week and early if you can! This place gets crowded and sells out of items during the busy season. For the quiet side, this place is not quiet. You can find yourself waiting on a long line during peak hours (and be warned, you won't know the actual wait time until you get through the whole line and place your order at the counter). When you arrive, you get in line and wait to order. Once you order they seat you and give you an estimated wait time. They have some quick to go options if you can not wait. The staff was very friendly, and very apologetic for our long wait, giving us some cookies to say sorry. The food was delicious and fresh. Very expensive, which is typical of the area.

Dahlia's located in The Asticou Hotel is a breath of fresh air for the New England food scene…read more The restaraunt offers a fantastic view of the harbor from both its outdoor seating area and some indoor seating areas making for a lovely atmosphere. The staff are friendly. As a self proclaimed foodie family, we could not have been more impressed by Dahlia's during our four day stay at The Asticou Hotel. During our time, we enjoyed breakfast, lunch and two dinners at the hotel's restaurant. For breakfast we enjoyed the Oatmeal and Blueberry Pancakes on our final morning before heading to our next destination. Both dishes were delcious. There are a number of other great options but we kept it simple for our travel day. For lunch, we had the Child's Mini Burgers, the Child's Steak and Potatoes, the Smash Burger and the Chicken Sandwich. The burgers were by far the best of the trip. My husband said the chicken sandwich was a quality one as well. The only disappointing item served were the French fries as they appeared to just be frozen string fries. We prefer fresh cut fries. Dahila's offers a fantastic children's menu selection that caters to picky eaters and more adventurous eaters. My son was impressed by his steak and potato dish and so were we. I saw another child's salmon at dinner one night and it looked impressive for another child option. For the less adventurous eaters, they also offer Mac and cheese and a grilled cheese. For dinner both nights we started with the local raw oysters and popovers. Both starters were a hit each night. The Gulf Maine Halibut with lobster risotto was absolutely perfection both nights. The fish, the risotto and vegetables could not have been prepared any better. It's rare to find a restaraunt that nails every component of a dish but Dahlia's did just that with this dinner entree. To wrap up both dinners we had the children's sundae and blueberry pie. Our boys could not have been more satisfied with their sundaes. The blueberry pie was the best dessert of the trip! The pie which is more like a tart is served warm with a lemon curd on the side and vanilla bean icecream. It was truly divine. Dahlia's is worth visiting during your stay in the Bar Harbor area. It is pricey but the quality of the food is worth it. Be sure to make a reservation especially if you are going for dinner as it fills up quickly in the evening.

The hotel is in a great location, in the middle of MDI. It was easy to get to and from the national park and to downtown bar harbor from the hotel. The rooms were immaculate and so well decorated. The pool area is very picturesque with plenty of places to sit and lounge for the day. We enjoyed both a dinner and breakfast at Dahlias which overlooks the pool as well as the harbor. Our food was deciduous and the setting was perfect. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They made sure to send up a small gift to our room to celebrate our anniversary, which was a great touch. We will definitely plan to be back!
