We were highly recommended to try there pizza. So we were coming through Ebensburg and decided to order a couple pies. The lady on the phone was very kind. I can't say much about the place cause my husband was the one to pick up the pizza. Now let's get to the pizza , it has a very tasty sauce, cheese and pepperoni. The crust is very thin and crispy. Which is a huge hit for my son cause he lovesssss thin crust pizzas. I prefer some crust but all in all the pizza was pretty good. May have to come back to try something else. read more

We were set to celebrate a milestone birthday for my Dad. He didn't want anything too extravagant and requested that he'd consume some pizza. I have never heard of this place, but my Dad knew all about it. Even my siblings knew about it, but I was oblivious about it. We called ahead to reserve for the party size we had. Got there, walked in, was lead to our table and had menus in hand. I wasn't hard pressed on what we were going to be ordering and I just went with the flow. We went with a few pizzas, pepperoni and cheese. There were a few appetizers on the table as well. I didn't partake in the appetizers as I was looking forward to the pizza. This pizza is amazing. The crust is thin and crunchy. Toppings don't overtake the pizza, it is evenly distributed. The pepperoni was amazing, the grease from it gave the pizza a bit more flavor that just made it much more enjoyable. The whole table was satisfied with the pizza and everyone definitely got their fill. Our servers were gracious checked on us often to make sure if we needed anything. read more

Word on the street is CP has good pizza. We sat at the bar and ordered pizza, stromboli, and fried zucchini to go, and drank Pink Whitney's while we waited. It was a long wait, probably about 45 or 50 minutes. But we got the bill which was $47 and asked the bartender did he forget to put the drinks on there?? He said he did not. What the heck?? We need to do more drinking in Ebensburg. The pizza, stromboli, and zucchini were all delicious and well worth the wait. It was even better the next day. The $47 bill bumps CP from 4 to 5. This bill would have been $112 in KW or NYC!! read more

My favorite Pizza shop has gone down hill the past few months. The pizza has been undercooked and they have skimped on toppings. For 2 large spending 32$ is no problem for a good quality pizza is well worth it, 32$ for undercooked pizza is a waste of time, money and frustration. This past weekend I drove to the Wilmore Express and it was worse. Good people but terrible pizza recently. PLEASE FIX THIS SOON, IF NOT I WILL HAVE TO SUPPORT TACO BELL PIZZA... at least it is crispy!!! read more

Maybe it's the nostalgia factor, but I (uncharacteristically) don't have a single ding to give to this place. I grew up in Ebensburg and haven't been back to CP for 26 years. I'd heard that the restaurant had been sold and the pizza recipe changed. My sister, who joined me (along with my mom and niece) felt that it has. If so, the changes have been too subtle for me to detect after my extended absence. Understand that to a lot of folks from this small town, CP pizza is legendary. It's one of those places that is on the "must visit" list when we return "home." Since my entire family has left the area, it isn't home any more, but biting into our EBA (everything but anchovy) sure made it feel like it was. I'm not sure what makes this pizza taste so different. It does have the mandatory (for me) thin crust, but one that tastes nothing like any other I've had. And I have had a lot of pizza in my time. I love pizza. There are so few ingredients in a crust; maybe the difference is in the water? Ebensburg has its own reservoir and the water there is da bomb. I miss it to this day. (I live in Southern California and wouldn't want to add up the money I've spent on bottled water in the last 32 years, since what comes out of the tap there is most definitely not da bomb.) Whatever it is the CP does, it yields a thin and flaky crust that breaks almost like a saltine when you bite into it. The sauce is on the sweet side; I don't feel like it is quite as sweet as some of the other reviewers. but maybe that is influenced by the toppings you choose. The EBA includes pepperoni, green pepper, mushroom and onions. It isn't actually EBA because they have a lot of other toppings that could be included, but I think the misnomer is a carry over from the days when the menu was more limited. At any rate, the spiciness of the pepperoni, the meatiness of the mushrooms and the slight bitterness of the green pepper seem to offset the sweetness of the sauce a bit. Just the right amount of cheese is melted to create a perfect (again, for me, cause you know, it's all about me) pie. My niece had a salad. I didn't taste it or think to ask her how it was, but it looked fresh and like there were plenty of goodies on it. Lots of ranch (her favorite,) too. That's not much of a review, I realize, but it's all I have to offer. We actually didn't realize there was a salad bar, but at $4, the one she ordered off the menu was a good value. For an appetizer, we had the garlic parmesan wings and they were delicious. Big, meaty wings (a mixture of whole and drummettes) are deep fried and crispy, then mixed with a creamy, garlicky sauce and tossed with parm. Delish! The lone server really hustled and managed to get our orders, deliver food and drinks, bring me the T-shirt I bought (to remember this happy day) and get us checked out without a glitch. I'd say that maybe some day I'll come back and try out the varied menu, but who am I kidding? If and when I make it back, I'll order the EBA, for sure! And the price will be right, too! This place is known for their pizza and I was not disappointed. The crust is thin and crispy and the sauce is sweet. Lots of toppings and cheese! The appetizers we ordered were also very good. Loaded fries were hot, gooey, and generously topped with bacon, scallions, and sour cream. They only had 3 beers on draft, but they had some more choices in bottles. The bar was pretty well stocked, but the bartender didn't know how to make a dirty grey goose martini. So...that was a bummer. But, if you go for beer and pizza you won't be disappointed! What I enjoyed the most were actually the gobs. Holy crap the snickerdoodle gob is amazing!!! They have so many flavors of gobs and they are all fantastic! Clark Powell's is part of Ebensburg local culture, with a pizza recipe that apparently has been passed down throughout the years. -Its popular; -Its got a thin-crust; -Its got a sweet sauce; -Its gonna be greasy... but it's good. Everyone talks pizza, but our "go to" is chicken tacos (shell made from their signature pizza dough!), loaded fries (fresh cut, locally grown!), and OH MY GOB!!! Seriously. The homemade gobs are delicious & big enough to share, but you're not going to... Hamburgers are also good and the staff are awesome, always. Thursdays is the pizza buffet. Only issue is that it will be crowded and the salad-bar leaves a lot to be desired. Overall, happy that Clark Powell's is our local establishment with some history! read more

Not bad. In the history of Ebensburg pizzadom, Clark Powell's has stood the test of time (and several bullet holes in the front facade from a wily police chase years ago. I'm sure they're gone now). The pizza is an A-OK thin crust, but the sauce has always been a little sweet for my liking. Never delved any deeper in the menu, and never really joined the motley crew of professional alcoholics and scary woodsmen that always seem to inhabit the bar when I come to pick up a pie, but what can you do? Three solid stars. It's Ebensburg, but you could do worse. read more

This is our go to restaurant usually. We love the food but recently they got a new driver and whenever he pulled into my driveway to deliver my food he was smoking with our food in the car which made me very uncomfortable considering I have two young children in my house that would be eating that food and the smoke smell really overpowered us while we were trying to enjoy our dinner. He also waited in the car to finish his cigarette. I had to walk outside for him to finally get out of the car. Very unprofessional to be smoking with peoples food. read more

Decent place with excellent atmosphere. The service at the bar and the restaurant is always fantastic. I disagree, but everyone raves about their pizza. This is just personal taste to me. The crust is very thin and crisp; almost like a cracker. I'm more into the NY style pizza so the cracker crust is odd to me. It does lose the crunch when delivered so I suggest eating there. I always ask for a buffalo chicken wrap which is not on the menu, but they never complain about making it for me. I love a place that is flexible and accommodating which is why I give them 4 stars. I think a choice in crust (thick or thin) would push this place to 5 stars. They have a buffet for lunch and dinner every Thursday that includes salad, pizza with various toppings, taco, potato and buffalo chicken pizza, stromboli and the occasional italian sub. read more

The wings were very good, the pizza however I didn't think was quite as good as my very high expectations would have hoped. It was tasty, but I found it to be a little greasy.
