I love the no hassle feeling with a small change. We also ordered a side of bangers and they were tasty but a little peppery for the kids (who are just fussy about their sausage but everyone else enjoyed them). The Gravlax Benedict was also ordered and super well enjoyed with the substitution for Latkes, highly recommended! Notible was that they used real potatoes, not something frozen from a bag and not deep fried either. You get a choice of three types of bread. The classic breakfast is the real deal though. At $8.95 it's a real bargain. I enjoyed the coffee. It's better than the average restaurant coffee. By 11:30 on Saturday the café was quite busy; not full yet but certainly busy. This must be a favorite with the locals in the north west. If you like traditional breakfasts you'll like it here. I didn't look very closely at the lunch menu but it seemed to have a lot of choices.

Service was quick and efficient--we were in and out in about 40 minutes, including ordering, drinks, food, and payment. If you can make a reservation, it's ideal, but even without one, the wait time isn't usually too bad. We tried two of their signature breakfast poutines: * The Gold Digga, featuring artisan cheese curds, Berkshire roast pork, black truffles, and a rich homemade hollandaise sauce. * The Get Shorty Rib, which came loaded with cheese curds, Philly-style beef short ribs, bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, and that same amazing hollandaise. You're practically sitting on top of the people beside you. It honestly made me wonder how this place complies with occupancy and safety standards. On top of that, the restaurant was unbearably hot. Our server was literally sweating and told us they don't have air conditioning. That's unacceptable for a restaurant charging premium prices. My spouse ordered the breakfast burrito, and I ordered the standard eggs and sausage, over $20 for two eggs, two sausages, a handful of salty potatoes, and a single piece of stale toast? The value is laughable. I've had better breakfasts at roadside diners for half the price. Then the food arrived. Cold. The over-easy eggs were cold, the toast was cold, and the sausages looked like they had been cremated. If you've never experienced cold over-easy eggs, OEB will happily introduce you to them. What I cannot understand is how this place has built such a reputation. Based on my experience, it is one of the most overrated breakfast restaurants in the city. You're paying premium prices for overcrowding, excessive heat, mediocre service, and food that should never have left the kitchen. I won't be back. There are dozens of breakfast spots in Edmonton that deliver better food, better value, and a far more enjoyable experience. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.

This was our second private function booked this year at Saratoga, and again, we were not disappointed. Saratoga normally closes at 4:00 pm, so we had the entire restaurant at our disposal for our 6:00 pm function. The pre-ordered dinners were simply outstanding. We had a choice of soup or salad starter, Turkey Dinner with dressing and mashed potatoes or BBW Pork Ribs with coleslaw and mashed potatoes or fries, with both entrees served with a perfectly cooked vegetable medley, and a choice of Rice Pudding or Brownie with Ice Cream. Price per person including GST and gratuity was more than price competitive with comparable family style restaurants. Our club has a number of hard core foodies. We're a tough crowd to please. Unusual for large group functions, every single attendee said they enjoyed their meal and Saratoga's ambience. Both pre-ordered main courses were impressively large servings. The Turkey Dinner was described by many as one of the BEST Turkey dinner they had ever enjoyed at any restaurant at any price.
