The extended warranty they sell is useless. They sell you an extended warranty but then when you need it, the manager gives you all the reasons why they won't honor it. They make it next to impossible to use. The manager was dismissive and obviously could not have cared less. I'm a longtime customer and I spent $1600 on two pairs, after insurance, on that trip. I needed the warranty for only one pair of glasses I am still within the warranty period but the manager told me it had been too long to work with me on it. ??? I will never be back. Their extended warranty is a scam. They sell it to you, take your money, but don't tell you how hard it is to apply it. Seems like fraud. In 1860, it took a skilled optometrist about a week to make a pair of glasses, today it only takes about three weeks; especially at Clarkson. I would understand the lag time if you were getting cheap glasses or maybe getting an unusual prescription. I paid about $1000 for two pair of glasses-just reading glasses so the cut wasn't like carving the Hope Diamond. Waited forever. Call to check on whether you're going to get those glasses anytime soon and you're going to get a healthy dose of attitude. "We'll call when they're ready! *hiss, hiss*". Well that's not my experience, which is why I'm calling. So suggestion, unless you don't care about cost or speed, go to LensCrafters or Sam's. Seriously, their manufacturing plant isn't in Cleveland and they don't walk the prescription up there. Cheaper, and you'll likely walk out the door with your new pair. read more

They rescheduled my appointment a week later, came in for my new appointment at 10:40, was in at 10:25 checked in and was told to have a seat, a guy comes in after me around 10:45 and signed in, next thing I know he gets called up at 10:48, I'm still setting at 11:05, at 11:14 I get called in, ask the person why and she said they were understaffed, but that make no sense at all, being understaffed is not an excuse for bringing a person in before me. What the issue is is incompetency. She does her couple checks ask me a bunch of questions, witch was fine, she did a good job, So now I wait for a Doctor, 11:29, the doctor comes in, does his checks and I'm finally out and now I wait again, the guy with a later appointment is called before me again leaves at 11:32, I set and waited until 11:38, finally finished at 11:55. I own a medium size company in town, 57 people, I understand the difficulty in getting good help, but open your eyes folks, your staff should be professional and it starts at the front desk. Time to find a new eye doctor. read more

We got to our appointment late late and I called ahead to make sure they could still take my kid and I late. We were good for our late arrival, did the prescreening while I filled out the paper work and we were both done with that within 10 minutes. The wait time to see the optometrist took longer almost 20 minutes. During that time, we just walked around looking at their frame selections. They have a variety of different styles of frames and even name brands. A couple of mirrors located at the end of the walls to check out the looks. There were 2 waiting areas as well, one in the front for Check in and one by the pre-screening room to wait for the Doctors. This one has a small television to pass the time, but like total of about 8 chairs. I did see a restroom at the back wall behind the wall of glasses frames. Once we were called back, she was able to take both of us at the same time. I went first since I was getting my eyes dilated. Standard chair and optometrist equipment. Dr. Williams was quick and thorough, I was able to address my concerns and e expectations freely and she addressed them with out any issues. She explained the dilation and put the drops and provided a couple of tissues to clean off the tears and remnants of the solution. My son's turn was next, she addressed him and asked him his concerns, the his exam in timely manner. My eyes weren't fully dilated yet after his exam so I waited in the waiting area until enough time has passed. After that exam was done, she brought my paper work to the reception desk for Check out and provided me with a copy of my glasses prescription. The receptionist ladies were friendly and quick. They already checked my insurance and had it ready for check out. The best there wasn't any hidden fees, no extra charges or random fees. Just the standard exams fees and that was it. They didn't pressure me to buy glasses or tell me I had to purchase them or insurance won't cover me bs. I paid, they gave me a receipt, thanked me! That was simple and easy. Total time was about 45 mins-1 hr. Overall- they were nice, did the exam without any gimmicks or sales pitches, were helpful even when I told them I had to go to my second job in a couple hours and they were concerned since my eyes were dilated. They gave me my special glasses and told me to wear them since my eyes would be sensitive to bright lights. I would recommend them to my friends.!! Seriously... the simplest, quick and easiest time at the optometrist office ever. read more

Don't waste your time. No customer care. Just in line for money. I thought I would give them a try since I had a Mother and Sister telling me about them. Making the appointment online was a simple process, and they text to remind you that you scheduled an appointment. I arrived 10 minutes early in which they handed me forms with my name on it, but none of the info I filled out online was there. I Filled out handed it in. Optician immediately did the prep before the Doctor saw me, in which I told her where I normally went for eye exam and what brand contacts I was there for and she asked if I had the records from my previous Doctor whom I had went to the year before in my hometown. I told her no I did not bring it, didn't know I would need it. The digital appointment, Optician, or Doctor never told me they didn't carry that brand contact. So as the Optician was done with prep I proceeded to the Doctor for exam. I also told her what brand contact I wore and she said no need to change anything when it works. After she logged her info of the exam into the computer she guided me to the contact changing station and all on the perimeter of the room were all their contact brands the Doctor searched the walls several times she walked to the desk where the Optician was and asked about the pro-clear brand not being there and the Optician told her that the facility did not carry that brand. But they could order a sample pair. (Well Hello, your the Doctor and you don't know that you don't carry that brand.) So after waiting for a while I was guided to the desk by the Optician to pay for my bill and she said they would order a sample pair. I was under the impression that I would receive a prescription for contacts and glasses as that is what happens with my hometown doctor and I stated on mydigital form I wanted a prescription for both contact and glasses. She said they could not do that that I would need to make another appointment and come back to fit the contact. I said no I did not want to do that and the Doctor told her to give me the prescription so I asked what the strength was that she diagnosed and it was lesser than the contact that I currently wear. I asked the Optician what it was and she said a 1+ and 2+ (Well what I currently wear is Left eye 2.50 and right eye 3.25.) So I told her know I did not want the prescription unless I got what I currently had. She proceeded in asking me why I even came there I said I thought I was getting a prescription. And she said that I should have asked if they carried that brand. I said I did indicate on the digital online form when filling out online. And I had told her and the Doctor. Then she told me if I wanted to talk to the manager I could wait a few minutes she was out. I told her I had no time to wait around. So I paid $152.00 out of pocket for an exam that I am wondering if it was even a Doctor, when they kept wanting my exam paperwork from my previous Doctor. The Optician just kept acting as if it was in my fault for not having my files from my hometown Doctor. (I am not sure this facility has qualified Optometrist.) So as I arrived home I called the manager (Jenny). In which I presumed could resolve the situation as a manager is there to do. Instead the manager created more of a situation. By asking if I would come in on another day and have another Doctor do an exam. I said no that is what I came there for on that day. And asked to speak to someone over top of her. She switched me to a call center. The call center switched me to Matt who was a tech. I waited a while called back talked to Jenny the Manager again as she sneered at me on the phone saying I was the problem and getting loud. ( My guess would be that Jenny does not have a degree in management ) She said she would have Paul the district manager call. I have not heard from Paul the district manager. Your new employee Alisha is doing your company a disservice. My husband and I have been coming here from 5 years now, we have never experienced rudeness that Alisha decided to act on. She rolled her eyes and was smacking on her gum the entire time she was being rude to me about my appointment time. I made an appt for my father for 2pm, and the computer sent me back a message that the appt was at 2pm, but Alisha said that my appt was at 2:45pm. They decided to just let me sit there with my sick father than to tell me I was way early to my appt. After some time passes by after 2pm, I finally got up to ask the front desk how much longer the wait was, thats when they decided to tell me that my appt time was 2:45pm. There was a glitch in the system that sent me a 2pm time, but they had a 2:45 time. I would have been ok if I had been told rather than just be ignored. We could have left for a while to kill time while we waiting for 2:45pm to stroll around. Instead of being kind about the situation, she decided to smart off at me and roll her eyes. She advised another employee about the situation, and the other employee was nicer about it, but did tell me that they work by appts only, so I sat back down to wait longer. Soon after sitting back down, we get called on back. While we sit there and wait for the doctor to come get us, Alisha decides to go to a different employee and begin to talk about me and point my way. Of course she would need to recruit people to back her attitude up, she knows that she was in the wrong and continued to give me dirty looks and talk about me. A bad employee can ruin everything for the business. We like the doctors, they are really knowledgeable, but a bad staff member is causing us to look elsewhere. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. You never know what a person had experienced before our paths crossed. I am not saying I am perfect, but sometimes a rude employee is a rude employee. I am trying to stay positive but I feel she went too far when she began to recruit other employees against me. I would like to continue to come here, but I have decided to take my business somewhere else. read more

I spent a total of 2 hours there, just for an eye exam! My appointment was for 11 am on a Saturday. It was after 12 before the optometrist saw me. Then I had to get my eyes dialated, and wait for that, so before I was out the door for good, I had spent way too long there. The front desk staff wasn't particularly friendly, but the optometrist was very nice and did a great job. I wouldn't go back though, since I wasted way too much time there. Also, I wasn't thrilled with their selection of frames and decided not to buy my glasses from there. read more
