I have been coming here for many years. They share a parking lot with other businesses. There are disabled spots available, and a ramp a few doors down from their storefront. The doctors are great and thorough with their exams. The staff takes great care in making sure everything is disinfected and in working order. They have a great variety of frames to choose from. Most contact orders take about 7-10 days to arrive, and you can even have it shipped to your house. read more

My son was scheduled for an exam last week. My wife verbally confirmed the appointment a week prior. When we arrived, they advised the appointment was canceled. They tried to blame the cancelation on their text confirmation system, but had to backtrack when advised of my wife's confirmation call. They had no explanation. I left quite angrily. I brought my son back to school (he had to miss claims for no reason). I then returned to the store and asked for a manager. I spoke to someone and asked how this cancelation could happen. The person apologized but could offer no explanation. They have yet to provide one. I and my son had to lose time during the day for this non-appointment. The staff were unhelpful. read more

I ordered two pairs of glasses and one pair of sunglasses from Clarkson Eyecare. While two of the pairs were correct, one was definitely not the frame I had picked--and not something I would have ever chosen. I even had a photo of myself wearing the original frames I selected, but the staff member helping me insisted that the incorrect pair was what I ordered and that "it's what was scanned in." Instead of taking accountability, I was told I'd have to pay a $40 restocking fee to return the glasses or pay the same fee to pick a new pair--as long as they were under $100. To make matters worse, the frames I actually wanted weren't even in stock anymore because they had just restocked with different inventory. When I expressed frustration, the employee told me to "calm down" and said it "wasn't that big of a deal." That response felt incredibly dismissive, especially considering I was paying out of pocket for something that was clearly not my mistake. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling unheard and undervalued as a customer. I won't be returning. read more

After spending some time picking out my frames they were lost by the staff when I returned to make the payment. First they said I had to choose new frames. Then I got a phone call saying they had found my frames. When I arrived they showed me a replacement frame that was NOT what I had chosen. They pulled a similar, but different shaped pair off the shelf and tried to pass it off as what I had picked. They intentionally LIED to me repeatedly, believing I was too stupid to notice. Clarkson Eyecare will never be trusted again. Absolutely disgusting behavior by so called professionals. read more

Extremely rude staff. I love the optometrists there he's the only reason I had been going for so long but the ladies who help purchasing the glasses are extremely rude. Lots of eye rolling and sighing as if they are annoyed at having to do their job. In addition to the rude staff they didn't bill the visit to my insurance correctly. I spent 3 hours on the phone going back and forth with my insurance and clarkson until the problem got resolved. read more

Horrible staff. Extremely rude. While I was in the middle of purchasing contacts and glasses I was asking questions. The lady that was helping had a horrible attitude and kept sighing like she was annoyed she had to answer questions. Eventually I just left without purchasing anything because of the attitude. Dr. Blair was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I hadn't been able to go to the eye doctor in two years due to financial difficulties and other health issues. I had babies back to back. Now that life has calmed down I want to get into everyone for some self care. She was super dismissive and opinionated telling me I couldn't possibly take care of my children if I don't take care of myself (again, why I was at the appointment). she told me daily contacts were not that much more expensive then monthly contacts and tried to compare her life style to mine which is not comparable. She then abruptly got up gave me a pair of contacts didnt discuss my vision with me or a preexisting concern that's been monitored for several years. I had no idea we were done with the exam and she rushed me away to the lobby where she didn't give me an RX for daily contacts like I discussed. All around total drag to be around in my postpartum journey and not the slightest bit help for my healing and eye care to help aid me in taking be care of myself. read more

What great customer service. I traveled to see my sister 4.5 hours from home and we stopped in to get my sister's nose piece pad replaced. While we were there I had them adjust my glasses that have been bugging me for over 4 months and my eye doctor office hasn't gotten them right... they have tried 2 times prior. I had a red spot on my left side of my nose and a sore spot behind my right ear. The lady nailed my glasses on the 1st try!! She had mad glass adjustment skills!! Do not buy prescription Ray Ban sunglasses from here. You will not receive Ray Ban lenses. I was not told this at anytime when I purchased. I was only able to get the cost of the frames refunded so I'm still out $160 for knock off lenses. Either go to Ray-Ban.com like I should of done, or LensCrafters. read more

I scheduled an eye exam and service was good. I was given a 10 day supply of contact lenses to try and decide if they were a good fit for me. I went back 1 week later to purchase more and was told they would take 2 weeks to get in???? What am I supposed to do for 2 weeks with no contacts? read more

Not happy with the service. Expect long wait times for your appointments. With a few exceptions, the office staff are not very experienced with customer service. The office manager was very rude as well. Originally I went in for a much needed eye exam for contacts and glasses. I did receive a glasses prescription upon request, yet I went in 5 times and was never given a finalized contact prescription. Finally after 6 months and 3 phone calls, I received a finalized contact prescription. Then, it was only good for 6 months. read more

Your entire staff at the St. Charles, Mid Rivers location is very organized and deal with a large volume of clients very well. The day I visited was very busy but they handled it! Well let me start by saying OUCH!!!! Very expensive and then it took 18 "business days" to get them to me. I saw the Doctor on Saturday March 21st and ordered my sunglasses. They must not have an automated system because they informed me that the order would not go out until Monday March 23rd. i FINALLY received the call today, April 18th, that they were ready. When i ordered them they said 10 to 14 business days. When i called at business day 13, they informed me that they were not ready yet and that it could take up to 14 business days, plus they also informed me that their lab that makes them had failed an inspection, so they had to add an additional 3 to 5 days to complete my order. I have gone to here for the past five-ish years and switched doctors because the other one I used to see was completely booked. This is the second year in a row I have had issues with my prescription. These doctors are so booked they run into the room, quickly perform your exam, and run out. I have been a long-time customer of Dr. Blair O-Brien, and I have always been satisfied with her as a doctor. She is kind and knowledgeable. However, the staff in this office have been totally unwilling to help me after giving me an incorrect rebate form. Upon calling them to inform the office that the rebate form they gave me did not have a code, I discovered the rebate form they gave me wouldn't even work. I sat on hold for nearly 30 minutes on December 7, 2016, and I called them back because they had forgotten about me on hold. At that point, they said they would contact the company providing the rebates and call me back in the next couple days. After waiting several weeks, I called them back on December 30, 2016, and they provided no help, saying I did not see the code on the form. I, again, stated to them that there is no code, that they had made a copy of the rebate form and the unique code did not copy, and the customer service associate told me I needed to call the company myself, which would have been fine a month ago. If I would have realized I was ineligible for any rebates they offered, I would have ordered my contacts through a cheaper outlet instead of choosing Clarkson Eyecare. read more
