This is a nice little place that I've overlooked until now. They've branched outside of the typical pub n grub fare by adding Brie and house made chips to the menu. There are plenty of options to choose from; from ahi tostadas to potato tacos; salads, pasta, sandwiches and burgers. It's all good! Pulled up to have some lunch while I wait for my tires to get fixed up nearby. The inside was a nice small little space, with mostly advertisement signs for their decorations, pretty plain in that regard. The menu was small, but still managed to fit some good variety of items I went simple today and just got some Chicken Tenders and, after waiting quite a while for them, it was worth the wait as they were perfectly cooked, very well seasoned, and delicious! However, once we received our food, our waitress didn't come back over to our table until we waved her over to refill our water. She never asked how our food was or if we needed anything. She also never had a smile on her face or seemed very optimistic. So, aside from the long wait time for food, and the lackluster service, it was alright. read more

I have been to Woody's countless times over the past 8 years, and I'm not sure why I haven't reviewed them! It's not too far from work, and plenty of lunch dates have been had here in passing. Their peppered ahi tuna salad is my go-to here. I would never think that a bar like this would serve an ahi tuna salad like this. I would expect a salad like this from a fine dining restaurant. They serve a great menu; not just your typical fries and tenders. At first glance, it just looks like your neighborhood bar, but it is located in Industrial Sparks. It's always been quieter when I've been here, but the times I've been in for dinner, they kept our Jameson rolling. No complaints there, but when it's been quiet with only a few other patrons, food service is slow. I try not to take my whole lunch at one spot. I should call ahead next time, and their posted hours have changed. My friend working near me wanted to treat me to lunch, and we stopped in this little center and we had to just have Subway because they were closed. We've been frequenting Woody's for several years now and feel this one of our favorite Go-to's for good food and reasonable prices. The inviting open bar and restaurant have a lovely welcoming staff, and THE FOOD is AMAZING! Some of our favorites are: the Peppered Ahi Tuna Salad, Caesar Salad with Chicken (the best Caesar around! It is house-made and has that same tang that my grandfather's Caesar used to have). Some must-tries are the Brie Chicken Sandwich with Roasted Apple Marmalade, and Southwestern Turkey Melt with Pepper Jack, Chipotle Aioli, Carmelized Onions, Avocado, and Arugula to top it off. When they closed during the pandemic, we watched patiently (and then very impatiently) for a post that they were reopening. We waited so long that I started to wonder if they would ever reopen. And then one day, it finally happened. But they were only open for lunch M-F and I didn't work close by . Then they announced they were going to be open for dinner on Thursday and Friday. I was about to walk into the Subway that shares a parking lot with Woody's and decided to go in here instead. I'm so glad I did. The service was very good and friendly. Food was delicious. The atmosphere says sports bar, with a small TV screen at every booth, but the food is way better than you'd expect from the decor. I got the fish and chips dinner ($18). My fries were hot and crispy and the dip that came with it was yummy! The coleslaw lacked flavor but it was crunchy. The fish was solid but not awesome. Finally, service was great. Our server was friendly and helpful and our glasses were refilled promptly. They checked on us frequently throughout the night. I would definitely return! read more

We had heard about Woody's and were in the neighborhood. Glad we came. It is a sports bar with lots of UNR banners and paraphernalia as the decorating theme. It is big, open, utilitarian with TV screens big and small on just about every available vertical surface. There are even small screens in each booth. The food is very good and not your average deep-fried breaded, greasy cheesy bar food one would expect in an establishment such as this. This is definitely high end gastro-pub food. My male dining companions feasted on hamburgers which were large and juicy and served on substantial lightly grilled pretzel buns with a generous serving of golden crispy fries. They were well satisfied. I had the BLTA. It was good. Not the BEST I have ever had, but very good. The sourdough bread was vey good and nicely toasted.There was WAY too much lettuce and the bacon was a bit skimpy. I like a thicker cur bacon with a little more smoky flavor and a more equal balance among the three main ingredients. The side of mac salad was good and was a nice change from the usual fries. Service was friendly and efficient and everything was brought out soon after we ordered hot and fresh. Well done since this place gets very busy at lunch-time. While this is not cheap eats, I felt the price was reasonable for the quality. I will definitely come back again. Some of the other plates going by looked great. read more

Now as a whole the dish was good with lots of flavoring, shrimp and sausage, and from that standpoint pretty good. It was just a huge turn-off as I should have recognized the spoon as being the method to consider vs the fork that I used. Lots of monitors and clearly a good place to watch sports, though every tv sound was off. Several dead options and a full bar make this a great location and venue for a variety of options. Reminds me of a flowing tide but today was a quiet day with a wide open area. Plenty of places at the bar along with some gambling, but that is pretty norm in Nevada. read more

Came here after a motorcycle safety course (im training to be an instructor) and wow! It was a decent place. I had suggested Juicys up the street, but Im always a sucker to try somewhere new. The staff was nice and helpful. Wasnt really busy when we got there, but it picked up soon after we ordered. Perfect! I ordered the buffalo wings and they did not disappoint. I got them naked, with sauce on the side. I ordered BBQ and nitro. I really liked the nitro sauce, but it wasnt even hot in the slightest bit. It was delicious, and bright orange but not as spicy as I had hoped. Buttery and a bit flavorful but not spicy at all. Had a business lunch here with a new client from out of town and Woody's definitely have a good impression. From the moment we walked in, the service was great as we were greeted and immediately seated. The food was cooked to perfection as I had the Woody Burger and the char on the outside added such great flavor while the inside was cooked to the medium I asked for. The interior was nice and spacious and you can watch the game as you eat. They also had Revision IPA on tap(my fave) but unfortunately this day it was a work day, lol. We came in about 4:30 p.m. on the day after Christmas. It was not very busy there were maybe four or five others seated. We decided to sit at the bar and try our luck at the machines. The waitress quickly took our drink orders and we looked at the menu. The menu consists of various appetizers, burgers, salads, sandwiches and entrees and looked to be a notch above typical pub food. My wife ordered the club sandwich with a side salad and I ordered the big boy grilled cheese and fries. They have a good selection of beers on tap as well as a full bar and do not allow smoking inside which we appreciate. Woody's has my absolute favorite salad! I love the Barbequed Chicken Salad here. It is chock full of all kinds of good stuff: BBQ glazed crispy chicken breast, mixed greens, black bean corn salsa, pico de gallo, bleu cheese crumbles, dried cranberries, green onions, crispy jalapenos & fried onions, ranch dressing. I can hardly think about ordering anything else except for maybe the Asian Steak Salad with Cilantro soy marinated steak, mixed greens, basil, mint, spicy chow mein noddles, avocado, mandarin oranges, cashews, asian lime vinaigrette once a year for a change. Woody's is a great spot. Which is the reason you need to be there early or late for lunch. The place is owned by the same people that own Twisted Fork so the food has a very similar vibe. Waay better than standard bar food but still good for enjoying with a nice beer or your favorite cocktail. Staff are always super friendly and on point with service. I would like to see a revolving tap as the beer selection doesnt seem to change. All in all a really good locals spot for drinks and food. read more
