Amazing pan roast! Lots of seafood, full of flavor and great price. Service was great, presentation was on point and the restaurant was clean and spacious.

Flying tide has great specials during football games as well as happy hour nice selection of beer Their house whiskey is very inexpensive but really drinkable and the food is good too, hearty pub food so all in all great hangout

Definitely love flowing tide. Especially this location. Servers are nice and on top of it. The food is good with an even better price point especially during their happy hour and game day specials. Family friendly with darts and pool.

This is only an update to my original review. I stopped in a while back when I was in a rush and asked if I could get one piece of fish and a tarter sauce because I didn't have time to eat much. The waitress was AWESOME and got me a piping hot piece of fish, super fast. That's been a few weeks ago and I'm in the same situation today. When I walked in I felt so lucky that the same waitress saw me and asked if I wanted my one piece of fish. I find that astounding that she could possibly remember me. IT IS SOOOO NICE to be remembered. The fish came super fast again and IS DELICIOUS as always My FAVORITE WAITRESS is named EVA! If you get her you are LUCKY!!! Service really matters!

Good pub food. Service was pretty quick and friendly. We went in today for a quick bite and my son loves fish and chips so this is normally our go to for that. Wings and sandwiches are always great. Clean dinning area and plenty of tvs.

Visiting family in Reno, we decided to go out for dinner. Since we're from out of town, we let them pick the place. They said this is one of their favorite spots here in Reno. This restaurant is close to their home & very nice. The interior reminded me of seafaring ships with large rope banisters, port holes, wooden flooring & so on. We found a table right away & our waitress came quickly. Sorry, but I didn't get her name. She was very friendly & quite jovial. A great example for any employee to follow. The menu was quite extensive, offering fare from pasta dishes to pot roast to sandwiches. I went with the cheesesteak with beer battered fries which were delicious. A crispy texture with a soft inner potato flavor. To be honest the fries could've been hotter. The Mrs had their special, a patty melt with tots. A grilled cheese sandwich with a hamburger patty placed in between, covered with cabbage & then grilled with a buttery, crunchy parmesan cheese. Wow! The food was tasty & we truly enjoyed our visit.

Came here after dinner for some drinks for a friends bday- inside had a ship theme going with like port holes and wood planks etc - super cute! We got the fishbowl drink to share and an appetizer platter - the alcohol was deceiving kuz it doesn't taste strong, we finished the entire fishbowl! I think the drink was called "shipwrecked" - fitting lol Appetizer platter was huge l! Tons of finger foods! I also love that they have pool and other games for bar-goers.

Flowing Tide is our go to for happy hour food and drinks! Prices are unbeatable. $7 appetizers and 50% off cocktails and beer! Plus their happy hour is every day from 4-6pm and 10pm-1am or during NFL games. All of their cocktails are good but my personal fav is the Tide Fizzy Lifter. The service has always been great so go and give it a try!

    Tide turkey in a wrap

Seriously so good! I wonder why some people have bad things to say about Flowing Tides. They're one of the few restaurants in Reno that are open 24 hours for full on food and fun. My go to is usually the tide turkey sandwich but this time I got it made into a wrap and it was absolutely delicious. We went to the location on Mira loma just off McCarran near Longley and our service was phenomenal. This was for a birthday lunch with coworkers and I had recommended it and everyone in my party was thrilled with their meals, so that was a success.

Flowing tide is great for a casual hangout, meeting up with friends or coworkers, or just stopping in for a drink or small bite. Their happy hour has great deals and they have two happy hours 7 days a week. This location is so nice. Very new and well-maintained. The atmosphere is casual, but a really nice spot to hangout. They have pool tables and keno machines at the bar.

    Ciopinno!
    Joyce T.

7 days a week HH with beer discounts during games. Half of this is a bar with food and game tops, the other half a non-smoking restaurant. The variety of food (their standard FT menu) is chock full of pub grub to seafood. Friendly service. Always find myself here when I crave a ciopinno, a beer, a game or a massive burger. Located on the corner end opposite the Raley's. Across from the park.

    Steak sandwich was 7/10

The WORST SERVICE!!! The bouncer is a rude dick. They made me feel So uncomfortable and unwelcome. I hated the whole 2 hours it took for a med well steak sandwich. Awful. I do not recommend coming here. The food was 2/10. The vibe was weird and the bathroom toilets did not flush. Our server was Sydney M and she was the worst. Moody, rude, bothered to have to serve us.

Airy and bright atmosphere, lots of windows and outdoor patio seating on those nice days. I tried the grilled cheese with short rib and homemade chips. The ribs were tender and the sauce savory. It was a little light on the cheese for a grilled cheese sandwich. I expected a pull of cheese when biting it but it was more like a splattering of shredded cheese on the short ribs. Flavorful overall and the bread toasty. My coworker had the Twisted Bahn Mi vietnamese sandwich. Now we are both from Northern CA and had plenty of vietnamese sandwiches there but let's do a side by side. Starting with the bread. Twisted version was a softer hogie kind of roll. Where traditional viet sandwiches use a baguette roll with a crispy outer crust and firm inside. The meat. Twisted version had shredded pork, more like pulled pork. It was slathered in a korean style sauce. Traditional viet sandwiches typically use grilled meats without any sauces. The condiments. This is where both Twisted and traditional are similar and different. Shredded carrots, daikon radish, cilantro, mint leaves are similar. What's different is the heavy use of shiracha aioli in the Twisted and traditional using pork liver pâté with mayo. So am I saying the Twisted Bahn Mi is bad? No, just stating it is not the same as traditional Bahn Mi and better to know than to be surprised. Would I order it, no because I an used to traditional. The grilled pork belly and bacon mac and cheese appetizers were great! I would consider those two as my entree! If you are in the area, give Twisted a try.

We arrived around 5:30 PM on a Saturday. The joint was nearly empty aside from a couple at the bar. Plenty of seating for our large group in the large, comfy couches. They also have cool built-in seating around the perimeter of the bar, though not nearly as comfortable as the vintage furniture. The menu is sorted by glass type. A fun and unique way to sort cocktails. They also have a selection of beer on draft and wine. The drinks can also be made into mocktails- a win for our group since we had a few non-drinkers. The 1859 mocktail was great. Perfectly sweet with a small hit of miso flavor from the miso honey. Probably even better and more balanced with the whiskey! Others in my group enjoyed working their way through the many light, dark, and sour beers on tap. 1864 offers a classic, relaxed atmosphere and a great place to get a cocktail. The prices are reasonable, too. Definitely worth the visit.
