I had smoke shooting back into the house because of a clogged stove pipe. The next day, smoke was still coming back into the house, even though he had confirmed that the pipe was clear. So he came back out ASAP, and fixed the problem free of charge. It turned out there was an error with a previous installation of the stovepipe , an outside screen that was too small that was too tight that was catching particles and continuing to send smoke back into the house... Not his fault at all, the stovepipe was cleaned, it was some additional problem that neither of us knew about. He got on the roof to find the issue and removed the blockIng screen free of charge, and now the stove and stove pipe is working perfectly! We were dealing with a leak at our fireplace chase and cap, and unlike the other companies we contacted, Michael actually went up on our two-story roof to assess the issue firsthand. Others didn't even bother to get on the roof. He thoroughly checked our cap and flashing, confirmed what was in good shape, and clearly explained what was needed to be fixed. We also had an added complication--our solar panels run right to the edge of the fireplace. Several companies refused to even consider the job unless we removed multiple panels (and none had even gone on the roof to look). Michael said it wasn't a problem, brought out scaffolding, and handled the job safely without requiring any panel removal. Within a week, he had a new chase manufactured and professionally installed. The craftsmanship, communication, and overall service were outstanding. If you want someone who truly knows their trade, offers fair pricing, communicates every step of the way, and shows up when he says he will, Michael is your guy. My home is still under builder warranty and I just needed someone for second opinion. Mark promised me free inspection. I specifically told him not to fix anything but just give me a quote and problem list with my gas fireplace. Sends a technician that has no certification or skills, talks over the phone walking the technician in Arabic. The technician tells me he fixed it, charges me $480, later to realize that the actual charge is $250. Fun part, he will only accept direct transfer via Venmo only for payment! Next time we use the fireplace, same problem. Mark tells me, upon contacting him, that there is another possible problem. But since I am a returning customer, instead of charging me $1200 to fix it, he will charge me only $780, and discount me another $250 that I already paid. Stay away from this company. And it's not 19 months old but a month old conversation for the work your incompetent technician did on November 2, 2025. Roseville, CA. I called this business and scheduled an appointment to have my chimney cleaned,…read moredryer vent cleaned and requested an estimate for exterior chimney repair. My appointment was scheduled between 11am and 1pm. Day of, 1pm comes and goes and no arrival or call. I call the business and the call is transferred to an answering service where I explain the situation and ask the status. They couldn't even find my info at first, but eventually were able to. The man said I should receive a call back within 15 mins. 15 mins goes by and I do receive a call from a woman who says they are running late and will be there by 2:30pm. That time passes so I call back and receive yet a different person at this answering service and ask what's going on. I am told that they were delayed at a previous appt. but are on their way. 2 men arrrived about 10 mins later in an unmarked white van. They both seemed nice enough but neither apologized or even mentioned the very late arrival. I quickly realized they were not here to clean anything, just give an estimate and charge me a $49 inspection fee ($54 credit card). The dryer vent cleaning would be $285 (1 story vent up to the roof). The fireplace cleaning would also be $285. The repair estimate to replace the 4 pieces of wood around the top and part of the flashing at the bottom was going to be $2500. This is when I got the used car salesman vibe as one of the men went on about it is the best price in town and he wanted me to get a fair price, etc. etc. At that point I decided to do the dryer vent cleaning myself and asked them to take that off the estimate. The man said he would throw that in with the repair and went on again about being the fairest price. I asked for the estimate to be emailed to me and confirmed my email address. That was a week ago and I still haven't received it. So all in all I paid $54 to have 3.5 hours of my time wasted. This company does not appear to be local but rather some sort of national company that contracts out to locals. I never spoke to the same person twice. The original man I spoke to on the phone was not either of the men that came in person. I would NOT use the company again. I should have seen the 1 star reviews here but unfortunately Google has better reviews...for now.
