Picture of what he saw needed to be done by poking his head in the fireplace. When I looked, I saw absolutely nothing.

I'm so frustrated. I just wanted a cleaning. It is so hard to find a good honest company. Do not get sucked into the "129.00 Special" for a chimney sweep. Instantly upon arrival the guy walks in, asked me if we owned or rented. Asked when we moved in. He literally "poked" his head in our fireplace, looked up and said, "I see the problem". Something about crystals forming in the flute that is closing up the flute. Immediately stated that instead of the $129 we need to do the $499 cleaning. This is the "deep cleaning". He said that the chimney has never been serviced. Little does he know that I know the previous owners personally, I sent them a text and they said "BULL CRAP". They have the receipts to prove it. Once I said that I do not want the deep clean, I would just like the chimney sweep/cleaning. He busted out a vacuum from his van. Vacuumed for MAYBE 3 minutes and said he was done. I have attached pictures of AFTER the service. I said that there is still soot. He said he did the "flute". He insisted that I still needed a deep cleaning. Even drew me a nice little picture. He said that there were crystals in there. I decided to poke my head in and look myself. There are no crystals in sight. Interesting. Wonder how he could see them from just poking his head in there for 2 seconds? Im just sick of it. My husband is in the Navy, we have 3 children and I am trying my best to prepare our home for the holidays. Makes me sick that people just care about money. Where is the integrity?

Had them come out to inspect my chimney. Bought the home a year ago and never used the fireplace so wanted to be sure it was good to go. The guy showed up, opened the flew(?) And flashed a flashlight up. Then immediately went to the roof to look at the chimney, came down in a few minutes. Said everything was good but very dirty. The cleaning would be $399. Total inspection took 10 maybe 15 min. Then gave me a paper to sign and I noticed that all points were checked satisfactory. But I don't have a wood stove and in the time he took to do the inspection there is no way he inspected all of the items properly. The company name on the paper was not the name of the chimney guys. This is a scam company making $71 for 10 min work. I don't feel like I got any sort of true inspection and I was looking forward to using my fireplace soon. Now I'm going to have to have another company come out and actually do something Update- the chimney guys called me and got into a yelling match about what they did and didn't do. How long an inspection takes, how much a technician gets paid. I finally had to hang up on him as we were both getting g nowhere. DO NOT USE THEM!

It's so difficult today to find trustworthy, reliable, dependable, and professional businesses that provide superior customer service and, what my husband refers to as, "squared away" people. At the time I scheduled the appointment, the lady who booked it, gave me all the details, including the cost, and what would be inclusive in that cost. Although I scheduled the appointment, I had to work so my husband greeted Anthony when he got to our home. While I was at work, my husband was sending me text messages about Anthony, how much he liked him, how professional, articulate and smart he was. My husband is not a subject matter expert when it comes to fireplaces or chimneys, however he is a retired engineer, and has a strong family history of working with and for multiple companies and people directly involved in "the trades." Because of this, everything that Anthony went over with my husband, was on point. Anthony and the company he represents, has integrity. This is another quality we don't get from businesses or companies today. Everything went as promised by the person that scheduled my appointment. We had a full report by the time Anthony left with pictures and costs for each item that was suggested. Anthony also strongly encouraged us to not use our fireplace! We love fires, but continued use, in the current state of the fireplace, could pose a safety risk. Most people wouldn't want to pay the cost for the inspection, but it was worth every single penny to us! Our home was built in 1947, and has probably not had many if any repairs at all. Note to the owner: I am sure you treat your team wonderfully well, but please continue to do so. Staff members like Anthony are difficult to find. I've been managing healthcare operations for most of my career and people like Anthony, not necessarily fireplace technicians, but in the workforce as a whole, are few and far between when it comes to representatives of your company.

We chose A to Z because of their reputation and the wide selection of security doors & designs that they offered. Our installer Ricardo showed up on time within the appointment time that was given to us, and went right to work after explaining the install procedure with me. The door looked great and included all of the hardware that my wife and I picked out (doorknobs, locks, etc). I was really impressed with the finished product when everything was completed. The before and after photos don't lie! Thanks A to Z!

I'd been wanting to replace my screens for years because the previous owners of my home had cats…read morethat had torn a few of them. On top of that I had my windows cleaned a couple of years ago and the window cleaner apologized for not being able to clean the screens; he said he had a machine he would normally run them through but that mine were so old and brittle his machine would destroy them. So I finally decided to move forward with this project, and after doing a fair amount of online research I decided to contact A to Z Window Screens. The estimator that came out to the house was very friendly, and got right to work. I had him measure every screen on the house, including my sliding screen door that would stick half-open about 60% of the times I'd try to open it. He explained all the options regarding screen types and how A to Z makes their screens so that there is no bowing or warping of them, and he also showed me how they index the various screens on the house so that if you needed a replacement for one in the future you could call and tell them "I need a replacement for screen #7" and they would have all the information needed to start right away from their estimator's visit. I must say, the price for rescreening everything on the house was much less frightening than I thought it would be, so I took the leap and committed with a 10% deposit. I also asked if they would clean my dryer vent since it had been awhile and I noticed that they did that work too. About 3 weeks went by and I received a call telling me that my screens were ready. I also had 90 days from this time to find a convenient time for me to have them installed. We agreed on a date, and a day or two before then I received an email and a text telling me all about the installer that would be arriving at my house - Ricardo. Ricardo showed up on time and promptly parked where he would block my wife's car from leaving the garage shortly thereafter. I walked outside, introduced myself, and explained the situation. He happily moved the truck to the other half of the driveway. I gave him time to get organized, then he came to the door and explained the installation process to me. He first laid all of the new screens out where they would be installed, and then got to work replacing the old one with the new ones. Thankfully he took the old ones with him for disposal, so I didn't have to deal with that. A bit after starting installation Ricardo came to the door again and explained to me that there were a lot of wasps buzzing under the eaves near some of the second-story windows he needed to replace the screens on. He asked if it would be alright for him to replace those screens from inside, and I agreed since there was already a screen he needed to do that for because of a large tree right outside the window housing the screen. We managed to pull off the installation with no wasps getting inside and no one getting stung, so both of us were happy. Ricardo finished installing the screens, including the door, and was ready to tackle the dryer vent at that point. I explained what I thought was the best path to access the second story roof to him, and wished him luck because we have one of the world's smallest laundry rooms and Ricardo was sort of a big guy to be fitting in the space that is left with the washer and dryer in there. Undaunted, he went upstairs and got the dryer unhooked and his wetvac going. Then he went up on the roof to auger the dryer vent out from there into the wetvac. When I asked him how bad it was afterward he said that the dryer hose connecting to the wall was plugged with lint but not even hooked to the exit vent in the laundry room, so the wall vent was fine. He hooked everything back up, used duct tape to ensure it didn't come loose again, and explained that I cannot move the dryer from where he left it or it will either pinch the flexible hose between dryer and wall or disconnect again. All in all it was a seamless, smooth experience having both the screens (and sliding door, which has not jammed once since replacement) installed and also having the dryer vent cleaned. I highly recommend A to Z for their service, prices, and their focus on customer relations and satisfaction!

A couple of years ago I noticed the amount of energy we were supposed to be getting with our solar panels had severely decreased as our SMUD bill increased. Someone recommended getting the panels cleaned. I saw a sign for Sierra Maintenance leaving our neighborhood and decided to give them a call. After they cleaned the panels, I noticed a lower SMUD bill the next month and in the subsequent months and even to this day. They also send before and after pictures which show just how filthy the panels can get. They also cleaned our gutters this time which I didn't realize had a ton of gunk in them. Our home is two-story ~ 4k sq foot. We have about 12 panels and it was ~$200 to clean them plus another $360 to clean the gutters. The problem is never fixed and they want more money but will discount the money that they already forced out of you. Dishonesty and misdirection is their main service. My home is still under builder warranty and I just needed someone for second opinion. Mark promised me free inspection. I specifically told him not to fix anything but just give me a quote and problem list with my gas fireplace. Sends a technician that has no certification or skills, talks over the phone walking the technician in Arabic. The technician tells me he fixed it, charges me $480, later to realize that the actual charge is $250. Fun part, he will only accept direct transfer via Venmo only for payment! Next time we use the fireplace, same problem. Mark tells me, upon contacting him, that there is another possible problem. But since I am a returning customer, instead of charging me $1200 to fix it, he will charge me only $780, and discount me another $250 that I already paid. Stay away from this company. Edit(03/06/2026) Your comment shows pure shrewdness and proves my suspicion of false promises and lack of professionalism and integrity. I have posted a picture of my conversation with you on yelp. And it's not 19 months old but a month old conversation for the work your incompetent technician did on November 2, 2025. Damaging my fireplace and stating that my review is false is very concerning and misleading. I hope no one else faces this. Let me know if you need more pictures of the work your company did and the damage bill from the builder.
