Matha allots appropriate time for each new client to conduct a thorough consultation. My natural hair is somewhat thick, fine, wavy, frizzy, ashy/dark brown (with white/grays), most of which had been bleached (by a former stylist miscommunication) resulting in brassy, fried hair. Fortunately, matha listened to my personal goal for natural looking brunette with highlights. She explained the lengthy process of color correction. She also brought out her book of color swatches to help give me a visual. Matha achieved beautiful results and continues to do so. One service I absolutely LOVE is the Keratin Treatment to help soften and smooth the frizz. It is a longer service that requires the solution to be sealed into the hair one small section at a time, but the benefits last months with minimal maintenance. What can I say about this place!!! Amazing service. Very clean and beautifully decorated. Has a beautiful chandelier that makes you feel fancy. This is the third time I've got my hair color, blowout, and styled by Matha owner and hairstylist. She wears masks and takes precautions for your safety. Since appointments must be book in advance, all the times that I've been there it was always me and Matha in the salon. It is not noisy and loud like other salons. Very private and Matha really pays attention to what you want. She guides you through the entire process and gives you tips for taking care of your hair. However it sucks when you're spending a lot of money only to have your hair over processed and fried. Everything is being rushed through and I end up with hair dry as a tumbleweed. Hi everyone I went to class and sass salon for my first hair appointment. I wasn't achieving my hair goals with my old hair stylist of many years so i decided to fine someone who was more educated with my Indian hair texture. A friend recommended Marta Her who is a seasoned hair stylist and a very smart, educated and amazing business women. I contacted her through IG first to discuss my issues, concerns and what my hair goals were. I needed to know if she was someone who is a good fit for my needs. She communicated with direct questions and in detail explained what was possible. I booked an appointment to give her talent a try. On the very first appointment she tried to fix my hair a little first making all the necessary suggestions and then on my second appointment is when the balayage session started. Her service time is 8 hours for this process and please don't be intimidated like I was when you think about sitting somewhere for 8 hours. I'm going to tell you it was so well worth it. Her approach to bleaching and coloring was way different then other hair stylist. She takes her time to process your hair carefully so your hair is not damaged. She's very educated with hair of different ethnicities and explains in details why she is doing the process and how. I was very worried at first but the result at the end left me speechless. So I got a balayage with golds and browns mixed with a hint of red color which made my hair look rose gold in natural lighting. My family referred me to Matha because they praised not only her work but their overall experience with her. I felt convinced by their comments + her previous reviews and decided why not book with her, everything seems genuine and promising. I messaged her on facebook just to ask, before fully committing and booking with her, if she could achieve the color I wanted (as my aunt suggested me to do because she did this with Matha and successfully connected with her). To which Matha reads my message 2 minutes after I had sent it and never responds. I send a follow up message the following day just to make sure if she's even accepting new clients and no acknowledgement at all. She lacks communication, acknowledgement, And accountability. If she was busy, not accepting clients, had a busy day, etc., all could've been communicated and I would've been more than understanding but it's been 5 days since and still no communication or acknowledgement from her end. So, Groupon willing, I secured a 90 minute microcurrent facial with Vera (I'm hoping I get that right) I have to admit that looks are deceiving as the outside of the establishment is modest and doesn't look fancy or posh. But, the service I received was stellar. This facial was so amazing and included everything from microblading to microdermabrasion to microcurrent. I decided at the last minute that I want to get my hair done (balayage). It's day after Christmas & I've called several hair studios in my contact list but none of them we're available this week. I stumbled upon C&S Salon while browsing through Groupon, called & spoke with Annalee, the owner. They're normally closed on Tuesdays but she opened the studio just to accommodate me. Her studio is very well maintained - Clean, sterile, yet very chic. She's super sweet, knowledgeable/knows the science behind hair, very meticulous and takes her time to make sure she provides the best results. Where do I start? Let's start with the salon. It is tucked in a small parking lot but, behold the magic that is kept in this hidden gem. The decor is very minimal with clean color palettes which kept it very organized. Feels like home when you walk in ESP with the stylists offering water and greeting you as you walk in. The stylist who worked on my hair is Annalee, the salon owner who is incredibly patient, thorough, friendly, professional, and she's incredibly passionate about her work. This was shown from the results of my hair when I walked out of the salon as a very satisfied customer! Initially, I wanted a solid red, all-over color but she suggested I should do a balaylage that would give me dimensions to my hair. I was sold. The experience was pleasant, although it did take a few stages for my hair to turn to the desired end result. She was patient with me each step of the process , informing me how the results would be like. After what seemed like forever because my hair wouldn't take a permanent color dye, we switched it to a semi permanent and VOILA! Hair magic kicked in and I left a happy client. Update: after 10 weeks later, my hair is still a very beautiful red. Still vibrant and kept its color very well. I couldn't be more happier with this place; definitely will be a repeat customer. These people were a no show last month for my appoinmentt to have my roots touched up. Very unprofessional. When I finally contacted them (no one answered phone # I had for them which I was calling for an hour that morning) by text mssg their response was I was supposed to call & confirm but this requirement was never previously related to me. I come from NY & this isn't how we do things. The whole point of making an appointment is to avoid having to make numerous phone calls. I am on a time constraint when, what time & how long I can be out of the house because my 95 yr. old mother is currently in hospice in a hospital bed in the apt. we share together. The owner, Annalee, is very nice and patient however I was disappointed in how my hair came out twice. I truly trusted her with my hair but I wish she would have told me the first time that my look was going to be unattainable, or at least start off which something simple. I wanted a balayage but I ended up with unblended foil highlights which severely damaged my hair. I came to her twice. The first time, the look came out too orange so she applied a toner which eventually faded out into this horrible brassy color. I showed her my hair a week after and she was kind enough to fix my hair but it still turned out looking dated and off tone. She's a wonderful person and is very kind however I'm displeased with the hair services offered. I was too afraid to ask for a refund or to decline paying for the services because she had spent a lot of time on my hair. I was in the salon for about 8 hours. I had to wait and go to another stylist to have my hair look good and wearable. I wore hats for weeks trying to hide my hair. It's a shame because she is truly so nice but I'm frustrated because I spent so much money on hair that I was not happy with. read more

Yesterday, December 1st 2018, I had the pleasure of having my hair permed by the newest beautician at the salon Julie!! As many of you know a perm can take HOURS!!! And mine did start to finish it took 4 hours. Julie and I had so much fun! She made sure I was comfortable and satisfied throughout the entire process! She was as quick and effecient as you can be when it comes to a perm! She was knowledgable in every product she used and made sure I was aware of everything she was applying to my hair! My perm turned out absolutely GORGEOUS!!! she did such a great job and I am more than satisfied! I will be returning to Julie for all of my hair care needs! As well as recommending her to family and friends! Oh and before I forget Julie was I'll with a cold and she was kind enough to wear a mask the entire 4 hours we were together as to not pass her cold to me!!
