And for years I have been praying to the holy trinity, Buddha, and all them peops for them to add an option to get an extra bag of crispy noodles on the side... Had delivery tonight, was so looking forward to it. Completely disappointed. I ordered a combo, chicken and broccoli with chicken fried rice. When I opened my order and saw how the rice was covered by all the broccoli, I thought that's weird. I put my food into a bowl and really took a look at the rice and it didn't look like chinese fried rice. I tasted it and confirmed 100% this is packaged fried rice, with freeze-dried peas LOL...they added 2 little slices of white meat chicken on top. If this is 'Classic' Asia, my name is Lucille Ball, cause that was a joke. Pre-packaged rice dishes have a soapy flavor and rubbery consistency, just like this did. I called and told the lady, she said hold for her manager. Spoke with another lady, could've been the same lady for all I know. They never admitted it was packaged fried rice, but never denied it either. They offered to deliver new food, I didn't want anything. Told them how disgusting and disappointed I am and won't ever order from them again. Save your $$. They lost their quality, and chef, apparently. I like to try the classic chicken & broccoli dish when I'm ordering from a, new to me, Chinese restaurant. The chicken & broccoli were fantastic. Lots of meat, sauce and broccoli. I went with the pork fried rice, also delicious. My soup choice, egg drop, again, tasty as all heck. It had great flavor and was piping hot when it arrived.The salad was a $2 add on and was very happy with the amount of salad dressing they gave me. The salad itself was fresh and huge! F I N A L L Y. Finally after trying about eight different places, I have found one that checks all my boxes. This place was your well rounded Chinese takeout restaurant. Nothing fancy, which is great, because sometimes you just want the classic style food to pig out on your couch, not the foo foo city style that does it the "authentic" way. Dumplings were big and juicy. General chicken wasn't spicy (thank you!) and definitely made out of real white meat. Egg rolls were crispy goodness. Crab rangoons were large and creamy. And everything from the wonton soup (comes with general chicken meal) to the sauce packets (even threw in sweet and sour) was generous and priced right. Also, staff was super friendly. Excellent takeout from here!!! The lemon chicken was so good. Not the usual chicken with the thick batter that takes off. It was great, soft chicken pieces with the right about of lemon in a beautiful white wine sauce. The crag Rangoon was a nice big size and the filling was perfect. Wonton soup was good and the egg drop soup was even better. Picked it up on a busy Saturday night...they were working so hard and efficiently, and still polite and smiling. Unlike its predecessors, Classic Asia is actually a very solid Chinese restaurant! One of my favorite "Chinese" foods is Chinese Pizza and Classic Asia has the best Chinese Pizza I have ever had. It's crispy, has scallions in it and comes with an amazing sauce. Highly recommend. The other food is very good as well. I had the general tso's bean curd (tofu) and I was pretty shocked at how good it was. I had to double check that it wasn't actually chicken! The portions here are huge. I had leftovers for lunch and dinner the following day (and I eat a lot!). You could honestly share an entree with someone and probably still have leftovers. It's also a pretty chill atmosphere here and the type of place you could have a nice sit down meal as opposed to just getting takeout. It was also quite clean here which is a big thing for me. I believe it is BYOB as well! One odd thing to add is that their fortune cookies were disgusting. I had to spit mine out. It tasted like rotten fruit or something. What a hidden gem on Station ave. The place is small and primarily a takeout joint. The portions are big, the service is pleasant and the facilities clean. The food is actually quite a few steps above you average Chinese takeaway. Also one thing I particularly liked was the fact that when it said spicy it was actually spicy.
