I love eating here! It is an excellent, small town Chinese restaurant with incredible food, and it is super fast whether you're picking up or getting delivery. It is in a convenient location for locals of Haddon Heights. The food tastes authentic and reminds me of Chinatown cuisine more than any other Chinese restaurant that I've eaten at in the surrounding area. The restaurant is clean, and though I've never eaten there, I would consider eating in their restaurant one day, but haven't got around to doing that yet. It's definitely one of the cleanest Chinese restaurants in South Jersey. I've visited some bad ones, but Classic Asia does not have this issue. I enjoy going in there and the clean atmosphere makes me comfortable to eat their food. If you're a local, this is a great spot for Chinese food. I don't think it's worth going anywhere else besides Classic Asia. They're friendly, fast, and always provide a good takeout experience. read more

I've ordered from this place in the past and the General Tso's chicken is usually pretty good. This time I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai and it was absolutely horrible. The taste of it reminded me of the smell of a musty old ship. The chicken was so rubbery and chewy and the taste just plain awful. I added sriracha but nothing could make it taste good so I threw the entire order out. read more

We also grabbed some scallion pancakes, tempura vegetable, and egg rolls w/ our friends. None left; love these guys! A surprising little Chinese/Japanese gem in downtown Haddon Heights. Just opened recently and we figured we give it a shot. It's very difficult to get decent Chinese/Japanese w/out having to drive into Philly or Cherry Hill/Mt Holly area. We ordered soft shell crab (Thai style) appetizer, miso soup, hot and sour soup, Singapore mai fun, and curry chicken. Everything was flavorful and satisfying. Albeit those who find onions to be less palatable may think the curry chicken went long on them, but I didn't mind. Will definitely revisit to try their Japanese selection. read more

I wish I could give this place four stars. It's a cute restaurant in downtown Haddon Heights with a cozy seating area and food that's definitely a step above normal suburban Chinese fare (we had the salt baked squid, Chinese eggplant in garlic sauce, and I got a pumpkin soup that was actually extremely good). However, the service was incredibly poor. When we arrived, we stood by the front desk for a full four or five minutes before someone came up to it, at which point we were directed to sit down at any table we wanted. We passed a table that had dishes still on it but no people at it, and it stayed that way the entire time we were there. We were given menus, but it took much longer than it should have for our orders to be taken. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. We finally got our soups, which you'd think would just be in the back waiting to be scooped into bowls. We were starving at this point, so we finished them quickly. Then we waited again, for what felt like forever, for our entrees to show up. The entire time, people kept coming in for their take out orders, and the phone kept ringing, so clearly they're very busy on Friday nights. Why they don't hire more people to take care of the dinner rush is beyond me. Eventually our food came and it was delicious, but having to spend nearly two hours for dinner is just crazy. Also, there are two TVs here for some reason, one of which points directly toward the seating area. It was playing children's shows the entire time we were there. Not great for trying to have a conversation. So, I would love to rate this place better, but they have to get it together during busy times. I came here with a friend for dine-in, but I believe it's more popular as a take out place. The food was fresh, I had the Hunan chicken, but I was not a big fan of the taste. My food was supposed to spicy and it was pretty bland. My friend had chicken with garlic sauce and she was also unimpressed. What a pleasant surprise! My wife an I have been looking for a place for good Chinese since we left Philadelphia about 6 years ago. After trying more than a half dozen places in the area surrounding Haddonfield we had given up on discovering any place with even passable food. Classic Asia left a menu on our door so we decided to order delivery. The food was fantastic! We ordered the chicken and broccoli and Kung Pao dinner special with egg roll. The chicken was large thin slices of white meat and the vegetables were crisp and not overcooked (which is so often the case with local Chinese food). The egg rolls were tasty and not greasy. The white rice was cooked to perfection. I'm looking forward to trying the Singapore noodles next. Great start Classic Asia! read more

I do not normally have meals delivered but tonight I did. Two gentlemen who were here to do some work and I were discussing where to get good Asian cuisine. I told them Classic Asia was one of my favorites because their meals are usually delicious, fresh, and plentiful. I had just placed my online order and Door Dash would deliver. I received the order very quickly, and I had paid a handsome tip to my Dash driver. I got the wrong order. I was looking forward to fresh shrimp and broccoli with white rice. Instead, I received two large bags of food. One was vegetarian. The other was a large pork fried rice. I do not know what the other dishes were...something with noodles and dry, coated chicken in sauce, wonton soup, a vegetarian egg roll. I would not have ordered any one of those dishes. I texted Door Dash (with no response) and then called the restaurant. The person who answered knew right away why I was calling. She said that they had given the wrong order to the Dash driver and that once they realized it, they "put yours back" in the kitchen and it was no longer available. "There is nothing I can do", she said in response to me. I asked her to refund my money since I had paid for the meal I ordered. "There is nothing I can do", she said again, like a robot. Further inquiries by me were met with silence. I was polite. I had not even raised my voice. I do not know if she hung up on me or not, but anything else I said was met with silence. I told her that Classic Asian has now lost me as a customer. I was hungry so I picked at the food and offered some to the workers. They ate a little of the pork fried rice which was very bland. One had planned to try Classic Asia and the other said they had not lost him as a customer over their refusal to remediate their mistake. I know mistakes happen. However, I did not even get an apology. She could have tried to make it right by giving me a refund, a credit for next time, or preparing the meal for which I had paid. This was so unbelievably wrong the way she handled this. read more

First, we're difficult to find because of township's lazy way of numbering....(easy fix, they wont fix it) They found us! I added to the menu soda that wasnt listed on menu, they called and informed me they could add item. Each meal came with soup, nice surprise! I'm normally just a General Tso order person... But it was ALL DELICIOUS! We were in heaven with Coconut Chicken, lightly sweet and yumcious ! Yes, I used that word Mongolian Beef, unbelievable, spicy and spectacular. Chinese Pizza ! OMG ! You probably already know that it is easy to find a delivery Chinese place, but honestly, each one seems just like the next. That's why we were pleasantly surprised when we ordered from here. We only ordered a few dishes, but what we got tasted good and we were impressed. I was especially glad to see that their fried rice was not the unfortunate normal orangey-yellow, dried out fried rice, but instead had a really good taste and looked good too. Amazing! It looks like your average fast Chinese food takeout place, but the quality is like a fancy sit-down restaurant. I got the General Tso tofu dinner combo. I am vegetarian, so the lady on the phone was nice enough to offer me a spring roll instead of the egg roll. I got my combo with the brown rice and ordered a pint of vegetable lo mein on the side. The food was still warm when I got home 20 mins later, flavorful, and tasty without being overly greasy. Also the fortune cookies are the thicker, subtly anise flavored ones that I love rather than the overly sweet crumbly ones you see at most restaurants. I've found my new favorite place! read more

Find this place! We always try new restaurants that open in our area and this was the latest one we tried. And we have been back several times because of the food. It has all of your typical Chinese restaurant items, but all with their own personal touch. The vegetable fried rice was the best ever. It was not greasy and was loaded with veggies. Likewise with their soups- they have more ingredients and better taste than the usual offerings. The fried items that use a tempura batter are light and not oily, unlike some of the thick and bread like coatings at other places. They also offer sushi but since we're not fans, I can't offer an opinion. But the real differentiating options are the fish, seafood and chefs specials. You will have a hard time deciding between all the choices. There are many unique items that you won't find elsewhere. They have been open for several months but the dine in area is still slow. The good news is that you won't have to wait for a seat. But once the word gets around, that should change. Usually there are plus and minus issues with new restaurants, but this was a very pleasant surprise with no negatives. The only small caveat is that some of their unique dishes that are served in house are not served the same way for takeout. So be sure to check. Also, they now offer smaller portions for their side dishes. So go find this spot the next time you crave Asian food. You won't be sorry b read more

The first time we went we were surprised to see some of the more advanced items on the menu but after sampling them we were very satisfied. Service is excellent and very personal. what a nice surprise - this replaced a little take out Chinese restaurant that was not very good at all. we didn't know what to expect, but one night stopped in on a bit of a whim. we were thinking we'd do take out since that was what was there before, but they updated the space to be a very nice sit down establishment. the night we were there there were only a couple other tables filled so it was very quiet and we basically had their undivided attention. the food was excellent with generous portions, delicious flavors, and beautiful presentation. the servers were all very nice and attentive. we only tried the chinese portion of the menu so i can't speak about the sushi, etc. overall, we were very pleased and definitely plan to spread the word and go back to try more of the menu. I don't like to pass one bad experience on to a Yelp review so if I have a not so great meal somewhere, I'll let it slide and chalk it up to a bad night. I've ordered delivery from here 3 times and each time it has been a less than great meal. The first time, I ordered the sauteed soft shell crap app ( it comes fried or sauteed) as well as the grilled octopus app. Octopus is not bad but they serve it on a bed of capers and lettuce. Capers are very salty and that renders the octopus salty to a point that makes it difficult to eat. Not sure what the point of sauteing the crab is when it's covered in batter. For an entree I decided to play it safe and ordered something I haven't ordered in a long time; Dragon and Phoenix. The chicken was tough and stringy. I had to bail on them. The shrimp was sauced to the brim of the takeout container. I actually thought it was soup when I first pulled the order out of the bag.I ate one shrimp and tossed it. Not a winner but I thought maybe I just picked the wrong thing. The second time I ordered, I thought I'd shoot for some lighter seafood fare so I ordered the black pepper scallops which the menu says is sauteed with black pepper in a spicy onion sauce. What I got was a soggy dripping mess. I guess the scallops WERE sauteed, but not before they had been drenched in some goopy batter that sort of melted off the scallops and mixed with the "spicy onion sauce" . I threw it out. Tonight was the last straw. They now have some grilled fish options on the menu and I wanted fish so I thought I'd give it a shot. I even called and asked to make sure that it was exactly as described on the menu. I ordered that and the octopus app ( again...I know, but I love octopus and I'm willing to power past the capers and also I really want to like it!). as well as the grilled calamari app. The owner told me it would be about 40 minutes. An hour an twenty minutes later my food finally arrived. It was all cold. I opened up the container containing my grilled fish ($11.95) and it's an anemic looking fish fillet that is about the size of those $3.00 fillets I get at Thriftway. I know food has to be marked up but this was not a value meal for sure. The octopus was the usual, and yes, it's my own damn fault. It will taste better after it's been in the fridge for a while and I'm rooting through it for a late night vodka snack. The grilled calamari wasn't just room temperature cold. It was COLD cold! I tried it but it was not very good. Hardly any charring at all and it tasted somewhat undercooked. Also, it was lacking any real flavor. If you read my other reviews, you'll see that I'm more of a positive reviewer. However, if I'm already somewhat wary, having had two less than good experiences, and then I have to wait almost an hour and a half ,to be disappointed yet again, I'm saying something. I called the owner to tell her how poor the service and the food was and she, of course, said she was sorry. She offered me a vague credit for "next time" but if she really stood by her food and service then she should have done more, ESPECIALLY since I had complained to them about meal # 2's scallops. I was offered a credit then too. Funny how it never came up again....or not. I see that there are a number of good reviews here so I'm not worried that my bad report will affect their business and I hope it doesn't. But I will have to look elsewhere for my next Asian food fix. I miss Han Dynasty. read more
