My husband and I decided to have lunch at China Cook express. We were eating in the restaurant. I ordered sweet and sour chicken and my husband ordered chicken and vegetables. As I started to eat the chicken I realized I couldn't bite it. It was hard and stringy, very dry. The coating cracked in pieces all over. Service was bad. Young girl is always at the register and will not say hi, take your order and money and will not say thank you. The respect for customers is not there. This is, by far, the worst chinese food 8ve ever eaten in this area. I have my favorite in the area, but happen to be near this place and was craving Chinese food, so I decided to give t a try. Ordered for 3. Probably 6 dishes, and the price wasn't actually bad for the amount of food. Paid about $65, out the door. That's where anything positive i can say ends. I ordered fried rice, bourbon chicken and pepper steak, along with sweet and sour chicken, some lo mein with chicken and some egg rolls. Speaking for my food, the fried rice was completely tasteless, as was the pepper steak and bourbon chicken. Absolutely no flavor. The clandestine chinese food I've ever had. Both myself and the person who ordered the sweet and sour chicken ended up throwing it away and, getting sick to our stomachs the next day after eating some of it. Needless to say, we ended up throwing most of it away. Don't know about some of these reviews, but, I know what I like, and I like food with taste. Not too much to ask, especially with everything going up in price everywhere, but, situations like this are mostly why I've given up eating out. Food was very tasty and fresh. Being one of 2 customers, my stir fry took 25min. There was no warning given that they prioritize online orders. The people why made the effort to actually visit the restaurant should be in the immediate que, or at least be warned that although restaurant is empty, there are 20 orders ahead of me. I am so glad I found sushi burrito in the area (that's not in Philly). It was my first time trying this place and I ordered as a walk-in, but realized they have mobile ordering available. We waited what seemed to be a long time for our food but it was because it was just a husband and wife doing it all and they had a pretty good amount of mobile orders prior to me walking in. Their menu has Chinese, Japanese, and Thai food options. I tried the Tempura Burrito which consists of Shrimp tempura, chicken tempura, crabmeat, avocado, cucumber, lettuce with eel sauce. This was really good. Love the crunch of the tempura and with some spicy mayo added to the burrito. They have other options on the menu or you can choose to create your own. The lady behind the counter is rude as anything and tries to hang up with you as fast as possible while giving as short of a response as possible. I was really craving General Tso's Chicken and after looking and looking on Yelp, and having tried so many places in the area that just haven't cut it, we landed on this place. BUT, the general chicken didn't impress me... and neither did the fried rice that came with jt. What did impress me was the price though. So cheap! The crab rangoons were yummy, and the dumplings tasted healthier than most places. Overall, not bad, not amazing. I'm still on the hunt for the best Chinese take out in the area! My brother and I decided to stop in one night bc we were interested in the sushi burritos & bowls. You can order take out or order and sit down. There are no real servers here, but they will bring you your food after you've ordered. My brother ordered the shrimp tempura roll and the salmon & tuna sushi burrito. I ordered a side of fries for my son and I had a shrimp egg roll and the salmon & tuna burrito bowl with brown rice. The food is made to order and came out fresh, but the service was a little slow. They were a little stingy with the fish, but it was still enjoyable. They were steady with business & lots of foot traffic. While we were there, I noticed a few customers who sounded like regulars. However without giving any special instructions about the amount of heat in our dishes, all three were not spicy at all. Found that very disappointing. I loved the concept of this place. I went with the "make your own bowl" option. It may have been my choice in toppings and sauce but it wasn't anything extraordinary. I really like this place. Unlike most Chinese restaurants this place is SO CLEAN and it has a very nice modern atmosphere (without being fancy). It's a really nice place to stay and eat. They have high chairs for the babies too. The service is great and friendly and the food comes out quickly. Their general tso sauce isn't my favorite, but the quality of the chicken is excellent. It's cooked really nicely where there's a crunch without the chicken being dry. My only complaint is that they do not appear to recycle. They serve the food in plastic containers and the drinks in plastic bottles, so if they could rinse everything and recycle it, it would make me feel a lot better about eating here. read more

This place just opened up by us and we decided to grab a couple of general tso's chicken lunch specials (because that's what you usually try to gauge a Chinese place) during the week. We got the White Meat ones and they were terrific, also kudo's to them for giving an option, the white meat really makes the world of difference with General Tso's chicken. There is no waiter service. You need to order at the cash register and they bring everything out as soon as it is ready. They do not space out your soup course, then appetizer course, and then entree. Also you get served in take out containers. I guess I'm just accustomed to the fried rice having a few onions, peas, and carrots in it.
