Found my new barbershop, the staff is super friendly and does amazing work. Maria was very patient and gentle with my 4yr old, probably one of the best haircuts he's had. We came in for a kids cut and my son's hair looks great. We went from surfer, shaggy to neat and trim with a little fade. Everyone was very kind and made us feel at home. There were lots of adults getting cuts as well. It's not a children's barber shop with kiddie decoration and chairs but we have never gotten a good cut at one of those. Asked for a mid fade and half off the top. I got way too much cut off. Fade wasn't even blended and worst of all he cut way too high into my crown and left me with basically a Mohawk. They did give me a hot towel and razor finish which most places won't give so I'll give them that but the quality of the haircut was not anywhere near to justify the hospitality. The owner goes to cut some guys hair who didn't have an appointment. I tell him I have an appointment in 5 minutes. If I could give 0 stars I would ! I booked an appointment for my godson at 11:30 and still had to wait when I got there . I called another barber shop if they had availabilities and the "owner" of the shop I was at currently got mad obviously felt some way about that saying that the lady helping up got a last minute beard cut . I still waited . Once it was our turn I saw that the lady DIDNT clean any of the hair of the previos client . It was all over the chair and clippers . I asked me if she was clean it first when the "man" "owner " whoever he was stepped in being rude saying he will do it and that I'm in a hurry telling me I'm making him feel some type of way in his shop . Me asking if something could be cleaned shouldn't set anyone off like that . It's the least one can do I wasn't even rude I even tried talking to him but I don't know if he had a power trip or a bad morning . No one wants other people's hair touching them . He was rude and disgusting . Will never recommend. My godson even said if he could he would throw eggs at him . To make a child feel so uncomfortable for them to say something like that says a lot ! Don't recommend this place the staff was friendly but the guy that cut hair talked the talked about understanding the form of a hair and face structure. He gave me a complete different cut than asked, I wanted to just clean the side burns and get a taper from the neck since I'm letting my hair grow. WHAT THE HECK? Still received no greeting or any information as to HOW LONG I NEEDED TO WAIT. When I made the APPOINTMENT the weekend PRIOR I gave my NAME AND PHONE NUMBER. I understand things happen and people RUN LATE. If that is the case COMMUNICATE. DO NOT WASTE MY TIME FOR NO REASON. I was not prepared to sit there for an arbitrarily long amount of time while he RUSHED through someone else's haircut; that isn't fair for that client. What a terrible experience. I can't comment on the haircuts, because I never actually got one due to the horrible customer service. I called ahead to the shop to see if they had time for a walk in. They said they did, so I told them I would be there in about an hour as I had just gotten off work in Newport Beach. The time of the call was 3:30pm on a Monday. Store hours say they close at 5:00pm, however when I walked up at 4:20pm, the gate was pulled halfway closed and the hanging sign in the door had been turned to "Closed". Since they were still cutting someone's hair I poked my head in and asked if they were closed, they said they were. I mentioned it was only 4:20pm and that the sign said they close at 5:00, I also mentioned I had called and was told they'd have time to see me. "Sorry man" was the only reply I got as the guy at the front desk turned back to whatever papers were in front of him. I stood there a moment longer just to see if he'd offer any sort of help. He didn't. I left. I'm really unhappy that I drove out of my way to go to this barber shop only to be turned away because they don't want to say open to the posted hours of operation. My husband went here on Sunday because of the $15 haircut rate. He also needed a beard trim. The haircut was great - one of the best in my opinion. Not too short and styled very well! However, the beard trim was terrible. He got a close, hot shave under his beard that completely cut up his entire neck. Days later, it is still red and agitated, which has never happened before. He enjoyed the experience but can't get over the poor close shave. He will not be returning to this establishment due to the poor and painful beard trim. read more

The lady who cut my hair was older and spoke Spanish mostly but all the other barbers were gathered around her as she did my cut. I have no complaints. Classic Barber Shop at 121 E Commonwealth, Fullerton was a very pleasant surprise. The outside is a storefront but the inside is comfortable, cool and very clean. The employees are Hispanic and make you feel very relaxed. They give you the full treatment paying attention to details. The straight razor was dull but the other amenities were delightful. I thought that the visit was worth $20-25 but they only charged $15. I tipped my barber $5. You won't be disappointed! read more
