Because the staff pays such close attention to the dogs in their care, they noticed a problem early on. JoJo had been acting completely normal at drop-off, but a couple days into her stay, they sensed something was wrong and trusted their instincts.They immediately stepped up and took JoJo to the emergency vet. Mandie stayed by JoJo's side when we couldn't, acting as her comfort and protector while we cut our trip short and raced back home. Even after we returned to town and took over, Mandie constantly checked in on JoJo to see how she was doing.The most incredible part is that we didn't even really know Mandie, and we have never met her in person. JoJo had only been there for daycare and boarding a handful of times. For Mandie and the staff to treat JoJo with this level of devotion, love, and urgency is truly extraordinary. They didn't just board our dog; they saved her life and looked after our family during a terrifying time. We will never take JoJo anywhere else!

We recently boarded our two dogs at Pet Resort in the Gardens, including one who is diabetic…read more Before booking, we specifically confirmed by phone that they were able to properly care for a diabetic dog and felt comfortable trusting them. We provided verbal instructions twice and written instructions stating that our dog needed to be fed at 7 AM and 7 PM so that his insulin could be administered on a consistent schedule. Unfortunately, we learned at pick up that he had been fed at approximately 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM each day instead. Consistency is extremely important for diabetic dogs, and this type of deviation can be dangerous. When we questioned the feeding times, we were told that special schedules are only followed when instructions are provided. After we pointed out that instructions had been given multiple times, they were eventually located in his chart. What's most disappointing is the apparent lack of concern regarding the seriousness of the error. Mistakes can happen, but attention to detail and an appropriate response are critical, especially when caring for animals with medical conditions. Based on our experience, we were left concerned about the level of communication and oversight provided. We'd never bring our dogs back.

My dog is only 25 lbs, which I thought they many pills was excessive. I did that as asked, my dog could barely hold her head up when I brought her in today. After waiting for 45 minutes after our scheduled appointment time with no one coming in the room, I asked the Ver Tech on the status. She said she would check and let me know. The Tech came in and said the Vet was working with a sick dog and would be in as soon as possible. I responded "no problem, she (pointing to my dog) is just ready to go home." The Tech understood, asked if I wanted to leave my dog at the clinic and they would call when done. I told her I didn't want to leave her there and we would wait. About 10 minutes later, the Vet came to the room and said, "I hear your dog is fucking ready to go." Stunned, I said "what?" To which she repeated. I let her know I never said that and let her know I only said she was ready to go. The vet was calling in the tech, in order to avoid an argument, I said we would not be staying nor returning. I mean she tech had to be like 20, but obviously was not being honest. The whole experience as been a disaster from the start with this location. I have taken my dog to the Oak Lawn location with no issue. No need to drug here, not refusing service ever because she is a little anxious. Stay away from this location in Mansfield.

She also realized that not many vet places would be open but he was in such distress she knew she would have to find someone. She contacted City Vet in Mansfield Texas to advise that something was terribly wrong as he was breathing and panting and would not accept his favorite treat. Further examination showed that one of his legs was swollen although he had no fall or injury. (He's always been a house dog so they would know). She called CityVet and was told they could see him in a few hours at 4pm. She anxiousl awaited the time until 3:30pm and went in. She was placed in one of the waiting rooms but at 4:40pm the Dr. still had not even looked or checked in on her dog. One of the assistants stated after checking that his temperature was 105. Still no Dr nor even a pill to relieve the fever. When my Daughter then asked an assistant when the Dr would be in the Dr proceeded to come in and announce she had an emergency in another room and that she could find another place 3 miles down the road. We left, her crying and carrying her almost 40 pound Binky and found another facility open. Together they agreed that he was in so much pain that he should be put down. The other facility was Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialist in Mansfield, TX. They have been there on frontage Rd for quite some time they have just changed their namt. The treatment by the staff was amazing. They allowed my Daughter and Granddaughter and I to sit with him just loving on him for quite awhile and when it was time to let him go to Heaven the Dr stayed with us. Afterward we were allowed to continue holding him through the process and at the end. I suggest if you want help, consideration and this most difficult time, that you go there. Dr. Jennifer Barber's professionalism of owners who are in distress is awful! I plan to warn others of her nastiness and awful treatement of pet owners in distress was dreadful. I can only imagine what may go on in times when pets may be left alone in her care. I do not recommend!

When asking for updates and or pictures we were given many excuses and lack of communication throughout the stays. Many times when sending our dogs food they would come home with the incorrect amount of food, bowls, toys blankets etc IF they came home they came home damaged/chewed up. This latest stay was the breaking point for me when we couldn't receive timely communication and it was clear there was a lack of care for our dog we had to make emergency arrangements half way around the world on our honeymoon for our dog to be picked up and cared for properly. It was also quite questionable that they don't let you behind the gate to see where your animals will be staying.

His behavior has improved tremendously, and he is so much more manageable at home. I am beyond impressed with Melissa and the entire team. We had consulted with several trainers in the past who told us Buddy was too aggressive to work with, so I honestly wasn't sure a board and train program would even be an option. When we dropped him off, Buddy was very aggressive toward the staff, but Melissa was willing to give him a chance. Through her patience, consistency, and expertise, he gradually learned to trust her, and it was amazing to see the bond they built. I can't thank Melissa and the team enough for giving Buddy the structure, guidance, and confidence he needed. If you're looking for trainers who are knowledgeable, compassionate, and willing to work with challenging dogs, I highly recommend them.

If I could sum up Gina as a caretaker for my pets and as a person in a few words they would be: She's the Best! Gina is kind, loving and gentle with the dogs, a couple of whom have had arthritis or other ailments. She's generous with her time and doesn't just come over to feed them; she also plays with them and will give medication if necessary. In addition, Gina is very flexible and typically available on very short notice. She's reliable and gives me peace of mind that my beloved pets are in good hands when we're away. I give Gina and Anything but Alligators my highest recommendation.
