Do not bring your vehicle to this shop! After an accident I brought my vehicle here. They told me it would take 8 days for the repairs. 22 days later I still don't have my truck back. Customer service is horrific, communication is nonexistent, employees don't care and they straight up lie to you about the status of your vehicle. I also suspect they are committing insurance fraud as they have multiple additional repair requests sent to the insurance company for approval. Not Surprised to see that this auto body shop only has two stars. If I could get zero I would. We have been longtime customers of Michels Auto Body for over 10 years. The repair of our 2014 suburban was horrible. It has a 4 inch lift that we had installed by 4 Wheel Parts. We have not received our car back and the tires have robbed through the tire fenders. When called was told that he had pictures that had rubbed before. We were also involved in a car accident that caused the ice cream coffee drinks my kids were drinking to be splattered all over the backseat they did not detail work on the truck is horrible. Please be aware don't get screwed like we did. Have filed a complaint with farmers!! read more

30 days out to schedule an estimate? I don't think so! Stopped by to get an estimate on a minor bumper incident a couple weeks ago, have done business with this shop before with satisfaction. Was told they were scheduling estimates about 30 days out! This didn't happen when Julie ran the front desk! READ THIS!! Rarely do I write reviews unless something egregious or spectacular happened. In this case it was the former. Furthermore, I will not give you my opinion. What I state below are the FACTS. I'll let you make your own opinion. I took my car to Michaels auto body for a small scratch in the rear bumper after I got rear ended 4 days after I bought the car. I had just had a new set of HRE wheels put on the car. If you are familiar with HRE I do not need to elaborate on how much they cost. When I dropped the car off I specifically told them that they were brand new and I would appreciate it if they were extra careful. When I picked up the car 5 days later than they told me it would be done I noticed that my front left wheel was a shade darker than the rest. Also, the balance weights were different than the other wheels and appeared brand new and the tire was 5 psi higher than the other 3 tires. Naturally I called them and discussed it with the secretary who stated that the owner was in Alaska and would be back in 10 days. After 14 days no one called so I called again and finally spoke to owner who stated that one of his employees scratched the wheel and he had it refinished. While the $800 repair on my bumper (price also included removing 2 door dings) was well done. The cost doesn't even come close to the price of replacing my damaged and now discolored wheel. I was offered no discount on the work or replacement of damaged wheel. read more

I hit a deer and went to Michael's. They set a appointment for a estimate which they kept. We agreed to the estimate and time frame, we both kept up our end of the contract. Run away!! They will lie to you and the insurance company. Customer service is indescribably bad! Jeep dropped off by a tow truck after a crash in December, told is about two weeks. April still not done, blamed everyone else but themselves. We would have taken it somewhere else but it wasn't drivable plus Michaels gave the insurance company a bunch of BS. Told the insurance company the vehicle was finished and we were unreasonable. So we were forced to take it with no seatbelts in the back, the rear fender not attached to the wheel well, upholstery not completed and they parked it under a pine tree but they let us keep the sap for free. Luckily the Jeep dealer in Castle Rock that Michaels blamed for the hold up stepped up, contacted the insurance company, re-opened our claim, and finished the job with outstanding customer service! Run! We were told 48 hrs for an estimate. Two weeks of calling them and listening to excuses and lies we took the car somewhere else. Even if the estimate was reasonable, and it was not, we would never do business with them after an experience like this. Then they had the nerve to tell us we could have to pay a storage fee. Really? Michael's Auto Body fixed my car after an insurance collision claim. They handled everything from the tow truck to the insurance rep (and endless forms) to handling additional damage claims found once the work started. Service was spectacular! Julie was extremely courteous, efficient and caring - and she is very adept at handling insurance companies when they get nasty. They also took care of every tiny detail I asked about, plus some additional work that I didn't ask for! Julie even took the time to get Subaru to price match their OEM parts to after market parts because my insurance only covered the cheaper parts. That goes above and beyond. My car has been at Michaels Auto body a couple of times this year for different body repairs. I took it in last Tuesday with an appointment to have them fix a couple of issues from the previous repairs. I had requested that Michael give me a call prior to me bringing the car in to discuss this and another issue but never heard from him. I dropped it off with Jennifer on Tuesday 9/6/16. Jennifer said it is usually 24 hrs to get this kind of thing done and she would call me. When I had not heard anything by Thursday afternoon 9/8/16 I called and Jennifer said Michael was working on it and she would call me in an hour. Never heard from Jennifer. I called today ( Monday) and spoke with Julie this time since Jennifer was off today and Julie said she was going to check on it and she would call me in less than an hour. Two hours later I was on my way back to Castlerock and figured I would just stop by and see where we were with this since I had not heard from Julie. When I got there Julie greeted me I told her who I was and why I was there and she immediately got on the phone ordering parts for someone else's car. Julie got off the phone and we went out to look at my car and I explained what needed to be done and she seemed surprised it wasn't done as was I, actually it appeared nothing had been done. She said she would have to get with Jennifer tomorrow when she was back to work to find out why it wasn't done. I'm really starting to feel like I am getting the run around now. I waited till 10:00 am (Tuesday) to call since I had not heard from either Julie or Jennifer. I called and left a message for Jennifer to call me. Julie yesterday told me I needed to talk to Jennifer since she knew everything about my car. By 11:00 I Had not heard anything from Michael's, so I decided to drive over to the shop and find out what was going on with my car since now the feeling of being run around was really starting to set in. Seems no one at Michaels returns a phone call. I walked in and Jennifer was there and the waiting room was full with what appeared to be upset customers. I asked Jennifer about my car and she said she would have to check with Julie? Jennifer then said she assumed it was done, so I went out to look, and it was the same as it was yesterday the car hadn't been repaired at all. I went back and asked when it would be done, and when was someone going to give me a call, and she just shrugged her shoulders. Then Julie came back and she as other reviewers stated got rather aggressive. That's when I requested my keys and if Michaels did not want to fix the poor workmanship ( hatchback rattling, door trim not installed properly, tail light improperly installed, mirror loose, and muffler rumbling) then I would take the car and talk to my insurance company regarding these repairs. Just when I thought I was done with Julie, I was backing out of the parking place and Julie peers into my window and wanted me to roll my window down. Once again I was treated to Julie's version of customer service, I rolled my window up when I thought she was going to throw a punch. Wow this must be one hostile work environment. Maybe someone needs to address Julie's anger issues. After my experience and other people in the lobby's experience I would find another body shop. Michaels customer service is Horrible at best. The quality of the work is very poor. They don't seem to care about the paint quality, the fitment of panels or anything, it just doesn't seem to matter at Michaels. Michael seems to have lost interest in Michaels auto body and left it to Julie to run. I have never been treated so rudely, and lied to so many times. I wish I had better things to say about Michael's auto body. read more

Horrible experience; it's in my top ten all time bad customer service experiences. Any company can get good reviews when things go well. How they react when things don't go well is what sets companies apart, good or bad. The staff broke and scratched a body panel piece that I had brought in for them to install on my car. They packed up the damaged piece and gave it back to me in the package without saying anything other than they couldn't do the work. Only when I took it out at home did I discover the damage. When I returned with the damaged piece the folks up front were rude, aggressive, and accusatory, and basically said it was my fault. I was always cordial; their attitude wasn't a reaction to anything I did. They gave no apology, showed absolutely no interest in correcting the situation, or compromising in any way. Their very unreasonable position was that it was impossible that they could have caused the damage. I brought in one piece but got back two pieces, pretty simple really. Like I said, how they react when things don't go well tells you a lot more about a company than when things do go well. Awful. read more

Did a complete shit job on my Audi, then got an attitude with me about it. They completely destroyed my rear wiper and wiper motor trying to remove them, looks like they closed the hatch on bits of glass causing a dent and gouges in the paint along the side of the lift gate, and the hatch was full of glass when I went to pickup the car... so they had to take the whole door apart again and clean it while I waited. Julie got in my face and got an attitude with me when I asked that the glass be properly cleaned out of my car. What Michael promises will be done, and what the shop actually does are two totally different things. Can't trust these people, avoid at all costs. read more

Excellent customer service! Julie was wonderful to work with and made what I thought was going to be a painful process very smooth and easy. My vehicle was promptly ready within the time frame that they provided, and they even thoroughly cleaned my pickup inside and out. Julie went out of her way to help save some money where she could, which she didn't have to do but was much appreciated. My mom also used Michael's for a fender bender on her vehicle and they were able to repair it without replacing for a very reasonable price, and when we went to pick it up the final total was exactly what they estimated. I was in an accident and called Michael's Auto Body , and I spoke to Jennifer and asked about their bad reviews and was hesitant to take my car in. I was told they would look at it right away and order parts and do an excellent job. I had the car towed in and it sat there for 6 business days before they even looked at it . Michael so rudely told me I had no priority and spoke down to me the whole time. My car was in for the full 31 day's !!!!!!! I was the one that called to check on my car . I didn't receive any communication ( but one email ) till I complained .The very last day they called me because the rental company reached out and said, my car was at my 30 day insurance coverage . Michael's said, they were detailing the car and it would be ready . I got off work and ran over there and they were closed ( 5:30 ) ! My car was dirty in the parking lot and that was a lie ! I went the next morning and found starches on a part that was replaced (?) and they rubbed some product on it ! Michael pointed out it wasn't his responsibility because it was contracted out for the tire work and he wasn't responsible ( what) So , I totally agree with the previous review . From my experience and quality of work , poor communication , most of all how Michael spoke to me in such a mean , curt ,unprofessional , degrading tone of voice I am not even giving them a star. No one should be treated or spoken to that way , especially a customer . unfortunately , they have your car at that point . Don't make my mistake is my honest review . Run in the other direction... I wish had.. They had our car for 3.5 months because a deer ran into the front left corner of the car. They say they were so busy with hail claims that for some reason it took that long for our car but that is ridiculous. The claim costs went from $6200.00 to $11920.00. They weren't part of our insurance body shops so I am sure there was some slow down there but the work is awful. So the first time we received it the motor cover under the car was hanging off and scraped on the ground. The bottom molding on the drivers side door kept coming off. Rodent damage to the interior car air filter. There is a problem with the trim piece near the drivers door it's sunk in. The molding on the bottom of driver door kept falling off. According to another place nothing was lined up correctly. Clear coat had runs in it. Where is quality control. Do you not check your work when you send something out especially after making us wait that long. We took it back. They said they would order new hood hinges and fix everything. Left the car again. Picked it up and it had worse problems with the clear coat and the part by the door would have to be ordered which they said they would do. They have never called us back on that. Now the front left fender keeps coming loose and the bottom molding on the door is coming off again. I wouldn't trust these people to fix a bike much less an expensive car. i took my car there in may of this year was the worst service i ever have gotten starting with the lady behind the desk was rude and nasty, then the fat tech that repaired my car did a awful job i would never use this collision shop again and advise anybody else not too very bad work and nasty employees. read more
