Nothing bad to say about this place from my one experience. I was referred here by my insurance company after being rear-ended. But it was actually the rear-ender's insurance that was covering everything, and that guy's insurance company was a little difficult to deal with, I know this because I was dealing with them as well. Knowing what a challenge it was to work with that weird insurance company really makes me appreciate the very professional people at Classic Collision, because there are things that would have gone much, much worse if they hadn't handled them so well. On top of that, my repairs look great. They went beyond the call of duty with some interior detailing and they were just very nice to deal with at all times. I desperately wanted to help my daughter who is an overworked nurse. She got a horrible scratch on her car door in her hospital parking ramp. I brought it to Josh. He inspected the scratch. He said, hang on a minute and watch the magic. He came back with a liquid solution and buffed out the entire one-foot x two- inch scratch. It was a miracle! I am just elated. Had my auto body "fixed" here and the estimator tried to pull a fast one on me by attaching non-matching body side molding to the fender that did not even match! They finally corrected it but I had to notice it first! Go someplace else. Gale's Auto Body in Blaine is OK. read more

Do not use if you have damage due to an insurance claim. I came in with my insurance check and was yelled at, ridiculed and belittled in front of other customers. I was so mortified and left nearly in tears from the experience. Now I don't know how I will be able to get my car fixed. read more

I am a huge fan. My daughter was hit from behind one night causing damage to her bumper, back camera and side panel. I needed a body shop to do the work but didn't have a place in mind. I was referred to Suburban Auto from a coworker of mine. She told me her dad and extended family has been using Suburban Auto for years. Wow, the folks working on our car did a great job communicating with us and the insurance company. They provided a rental car right there at the shop for my daughter to use while they repaired her car. The car was done in a timely manner, by professionals who care about service. They had my Silverado for two weeks to do minor body work. I was told they would call me when it was disassembled to let me know the amount of damage. They never called until the work was completed. They "detailed" the interior. Even though they never said they were doing it and I never approved them to do it. The "detailing" included them jamming my glove boxes full with my personal items. The rest went into a cardboard box in the back seat. This included two of the seat bracket covers they knocked off when vacuuming. When I got it back my radio didn't work for some reason. I pulled the fuse and reinstalled it and it worked. They broke my bug deflector (with custom lettering) and tried to hide it. When I brought it back to complain (two hours after I picked it up) they did offer to order another one, have it lettered and install it. However, I will not have them touch another vehicle of mine. I told them they could buy another one, have it lettered, and give it to me to have installed...they refused. I offered to bring it to another shop to have it replaced...they refused. I offered to accept the loss ($185 is what I paid 5 years ago) if they return the money I had spent on tire rotation and minor door ding repair ($190)...they refused. I believe I was speaking with their General Manager in their parking lot. He wouldn't accept my offers and I wouldn't accept his. There was nothing left to discuss but he stood there, blocking me from leaving. I had to ask him twice to move so I wouldn't hit him while backing out. They'll never touch another vehicle of mine. read more

when you check on people who use one star and look at their other reviews it shows something all their reviews are ones or twos. If you think a place screwed you over and all you do is complain that is not a review. Over 20 years of using Suburban no problems. The next review under the first one is 5 stars and that is because they do a great job. Things like molding could be sent wrong who knows, but that does not constitute such a review. It is also misleading. Over 1000 people have gone there. Plus they fixed the slight problem. No one pulled a fast one on you Mark J. you just got upset over something really small, for one they would have fixed the problem no matter what. I will go back again and again. I went to someone else. due to being asked for 2 quotes ABRA and they did not even try to send them by fax or email, but handed a copy back to me. So I went to Suburban. I hit a deer with my new Silverado pickup truck. I had heard of Suburban Auto Body form some friends in the past. I called them and right from the start getting the truck towed to working with the insurance company to weekly updates and the finish work on my truck was outstanding. I had heard of there great quality of work which I expected but was really impressed with there handling and communication with me in all the details. After seeing their ads over the years, I am still shocked with the very poor service provided by Josh at Suburban Auto Body. I had first taken photos of the damage to my front bumper and sent them in and received a timely initial estimate. I then inquired about the next steps and Josh told me to bring in my vehicle which I did. He took photos and told me that he would have an estimate to me by the end of the day. I did not receive one but gave him an extra day to give him the benefit of the doubt. Two days later, i sent him an email and reminded him that he was going to send me a written estimate. He never responded and even after a week, i have neither heard from him nor received the written estimate. Apparently, even during this pandemic, they do not need my business. We have used Suburban four times, including once when my parked 4Runner was hit head on by a drunk and twice when it was backed in to by hit and run drivers. Suburban made the repair process as easy as possible working with Progressive, the drunks insurer, and with State Farm on the hut and run damage. Suburban Auto Body is and was AMAZING to work with. Their patience, fortitude, knowledge, expertise and professionalism is a cut above the rest! Suburban's continuous efforts to work on my behalf, and ensure that my insurance co. covered every portions of the claims, (that right, two claims) my vehicle was repaired in an uncommon timely manner and I was kept informed of every step of the insurance process and repairs. My vehicle actually had to be detailed twice because of final insurance estimates that had been added to the repairs at the very last minute of the claims. I also had a rear bumper that was not being covered by insurance. With Suburban's fortitude and persistence in dealing with my horrendous ins. co., They repaired the rear bumper at half the out of pocket cost and talked the ins. co. Into paying for the remainder. Wow! Suburban Auto Body went above and beyond the call of duty to get it right the first time and went well beyond my expectations! Example: I have been work tirelessly with a horrible Insurance co. In which I no longer have. The process included 5 different 3 party estimators, GM Financial, 6 different Insurance supervisors and at least 5 different insurance adjusters. My insurance co. was horrendous! Suburban dealt with each and everyone of them to repair my Vehicle. They are great! read more

Someone ran into my wife's newer car when she was stopped at a stoplight. The person who hit her had State Farm and they let us pick where we wanted to go for repairs. I picked Suburban Auto Body because we had a great experience with them about 5 years ago. We used the location at Polar Chevrolet in White Bear Lake. Doug and Dennis were great to work with. They are a preferred shop for State Farm so they handled all of the logistics with State Farm and the car rental company. It could not have been easier and our car was returned like new! This could have been a real pain but Suburban took care of everything. I can highly recommend them! read more

Not a big fan of Yelp in general. It seems most reviews complain about the restaurant, retailer or other business. In the case of Suburban Auto Body, they have an excellent crew. I'm sorry to say I've been in a few accidents ranging from the $1200 dinger to a $7500 front-end collision with a big rig. Suburban was terrific. I've never seen a bill and the vehicles always come back looking like new. This is a place I recommend to EVERYONE. read more

God forbid someone hits my car again, I'm definitely going back to Suburban Auto Body in Little Canada. I had never been in a collision, and Josh walked me through the process and made it seamless. They did all the paperwork with the other driver's insurance, had a rental car ready and waiting when I arrived for the appointment, and the results on the repair were top-notch. They gave me an initial estimate of two weeks, but were able to finish early, and they called several times just to give me updates. They really went over the top when they showed me the interior detail job they provided me -- I have two little boys (who I allow to eat in the car), and it was a serious disaster when I removed the car seats. They also removed three years worth of sand build up from the driver's side floor. I didn't have to do anything but pick the car up, the details were all handled behind the scene.
