I know Classic is in business to repair cars. but ADAM was great and removed scratched on paint on my new Lexus and wouldnt take a penny for it. He could have sold me on a $1400 repair, removing a bumper, but told me no one would ever see it and he proceeded to 'fix' it with a rag and some elbow grease! That's service, and HONEST service. This is the worst place ever! what kind of body shop take about five weeks to finish your car?

I consider myself to be a very reasonable, fair, and flexible person. The main point of contact there is Adam who seems to be a co-owner (?). My experience is that Adam puts no value on customer service, and you are at the mercy of his anger and arrogance. He was charismatic up front and then did not deliver on his word, unwilling to follow through with the agreed upon services and also contracting himself multiple times with what he told me. There was also a lack of communication their end...I was not contacted once about updates on my car's progress, despite signing up for regular text notifications and also telling him verbally that I had not received any communication from their end. After multiple phone calls from my end, my husband ended up having to go there IN PERSON to establish contact and get updates. When we politely and respectfully expressed our frustrations, he did not take any accountability, said how busy he was and gave excuses for every ball dropped. I've never met someone so dismissive of their customer before (in any industry). If you choose to drop your car off here, do not expect understanding, sincere apologies and or to be treated respectfully. DO EXPECT: arrogance, manipulation, rudeness, and no accountability if/when they drop the ball. At the very least, to be treated fairly and spoken to as a person for a pleasant experience...have your car serviced elsewhere. Your mental health will be better and money better spent at a different company where they value you as a customer and take accountability for their actions (or lack thereof). This experience was a one and done for me. My best advice for you: PICK ANY OTHER BODY SHOP BUT THIS ONE! I hope no one has the same experience I did. Most other shops provide free estimates & let you decide whether you want move forward with repairs. I had the most basic of expectations after a tree fell on my car after an ice storm. It's refreshing to have expectations not only exceeded but completely blown away. My car? Amazing - completely restored like new. But that's not even the best part. Megan and Adam went above and beyond advocating for me and working their magic. I could give zero stars to this place I would do it! I took my car here to chance bumper and lights due to accident.They messed up something and now any time when I turn full staring wheel to right I can hear plastic cracking under the car. They put headlight in wrong position and when and went back to them to fix it because burned and burned socket. They change the light but not socket which make light to get out and while driving, my car got on fire!!!!! Headlight bulb burned my bumper and put car on fire! THIS IS NO JOKE . The employees at Classic Collision were very helpful both times one of our cars was involved in collisions. Luckily, I wasn't in the car during either of the collisions. The first time the car was involved in a collision, Classic Collision was recommended by my insurance agent. This was a great recommendation, because the right rear quarter panel got smacked into, and the total time it took to get the car back was within a week of the accident. The employees from Classic Collision contacted us a few times, and everything that they said they were going to do was completed within the timeframe they told us was going to happen. They were always professional. At the beginning of January, the same car was involved in another collision. We didn't hesitate to have this taken to Classic Collision with the hope that it would be another repair. This time, we had to make a few follow up calls with Classic Collision to find out what the status was as far as when the car would be repaired. Nope, not this time. The car was deemed totaled. Classic Collision notified us about the car being totaled before the insurance agent let us know, and let us know to come by to clear out the car before it got towed. We went to Classic Collision one last time, and, after finding out the reason we were there, she gave us a big trash liner to put everything in while emptying the car of things that we wanted, and a screw driver to remove the license plate, and she did this without us asking for them. Yes, for those unexpected times you get into a collision, I recommend going to Classic Collision. read more

I'm unsure what happened, however when I picked up my car I signed over an insurance check, paid the difference approved by the insurance company that had to send out a check to me, and was told everything was approved. Insurance let me know that they had only approved the original claim and one supplemental. The invoice I was given doesn't match what Joshua helpfully e-mailed over. There is no record of a second supplemental, but the second page of my receipt shows that there were two supplements, strangely one marked for $0 and one marked for $325.28 which doesn't match any of the insurance information given to me or Kemper. I e-mailed back asking, however there has been no response. "Thanks for getting this sent over. On closer look, the total on this approval is for $2429.38, including the original estimate of $1242.31 and the approved supplement of $1187.07. The final bill we received on pickup lists a net total of $3537.59. It's oddly broken down as Original Estimate: $3212.31, SO1: $0, and S02 $325.28. Is there anything that shows the approval of supplements and original estimate equaling the $3537.59 listed on the final bill? It seems that Kemper only authorized the $2429.38 total including a supplement." I'd love an e-mail response with either the details of the refund for my overcharge or the approved supplements that total the additional $1108.21 I was charged. The receipt doesn't even show this itemization properly so I'm not sure what additional repairs are charged. They took nearly 3 months to finish what they said was a 2 week job and only after I repeatedly pressed them to actually do the work. I was quite impressed with Classic Collision and how easy they made the entire process for me. After being rear ended, my insurance called them up and set everything in motion so it was all quite hands off for me. There is an Enterprise rental location right there in the building, so you can just pick up your rental when you drop off your car. I wasn't always informed about every step of the process, so there was a little back and forth when my car was going to take longer than anticipated and I had to make sure the rental company was updated since they hadn't been and they wanted me to return the car. When I got my baby back, she looked as good as new, so it was refreshing to see that the process worked and everything was restored back to how it was. Overall, a good experience, and I would recommend them if you need to get some body work done on your vehicle. read more

Brought my Audi in for a body repair- took months to repair. Not only that, their work was not up to par at all. My door was still hanging off as well as the door handle and had to bring it back to the shop. Still had to wait hours just for a simple repair that they can't even complete the first time. Ok so, I have to get the word out there on body shops locally. It's the least I could do for CLASSIC COLLISION in Lake Elmo on Hudson Road. About a month ago, I developed a need for auto body and took my car to 4 local body shops. The 1st 3, all required an appointment to even look at the car (1-3 days out). Ok, fair enough. I guess the days of rolling in and getting an estimate same day, have gone by the wayside. Until I called Classic Collision. They said, yeah, just come on over. I did w/no wait and friendly service. Long story short on that, I ended up purchasing a new car and donated this one to Kars 4 Kids. Anyway, today w/my new car, I parked, and the front end wedged up on a curb. When I pulled off, I heard a crunching sound. I had pulled the front bumper slightly off the base. Ya, dumb me....Took it to Classic Collision and they saw me right away. Asked me if I had a few minutes and I said "sure". He took it out back, adhered it to the base, threw on a few hinges/fasteners and it looks like new. Prior to that, I had called my insurance ready to file a claim. Figured at least I'd pay my $500 deductible. Held off on filing a claim until I knew the damages. They charged me nothing and were gracious about it. What????? So, I am totally recommending Classic Collison on Hudson Drive in Lake Elmo, MN. read more

I was greeted by a very friendly and helpful receptionist, Cheryl, and was made very comfortable in their waiting room, complete with complementary water bottles and coffee. Madeline prepared my estimate and, while we were reviewing it, she called over her supervisor, Adam, to review the damage with us. Before I knew it, the manager, Jimmy, came by and returned with his manual buffing equipment, and took care of me right there on the spot! Such friendly and helpful employees. While visiting family in Georgia I had a collision with a parked car I backed into. Needless to say I was very concerned about the damage done to my car. I am a New Yorker and had no contacts for referrals. My insurance company, Geico, advised me of Classic Collision and I drove my car there. It was the best recommendation I could have gotten. The young lady who did a visual check of the car with me was so courteous and reassuring. I'm so sorry I forgot her name, (? Susan) I wanted to give her a shout out! My car repair and paint job were evidence of the quality of work done by this business! No visual sign that the car was ever damaged. I drive a Mercedes and every concern vanished when I saw my car sparkling and looking like it did, when it just came off of the showroom floor. My car was restored like new! I called back in December with an agent from progressive to set up an appointment for some body work on my car after someone hit me. Then the day of the appointment I call to ensure everything is set for me to bring it in and they say there's no appointment. So I call progressive and my agent gets back to me and we call again and they say they no longer are repairing cara under Progressive and this has been in effect for the "last month" bullshit. We had just called December 16th and none of this was stated then. I was also never contacted or given any information about the cancellation. The guy on the phone and that answered with the agent and the girl who answered when i first called both need a class in customer service. They were so unhelpful and nonchalant about everything. Never even offering a solution just trying to combat everything we said. Again do not waste your money here! read more

This review is for Classic Collison, Sandy Springs GA: Not good! My car was in an accident, and we took it to Classic Collision. I was told that it will take some time to get the car back due to "part shortage". However, the shop kept the car for 4 weeks before taking it apart to see what parts are actually needed for repairs. My Classic Collision rep Matt is super hard to get a hold off and does not follow up. I realize there is insurance involved, but Classic C could communicate a little better with the customer and move things along. It's like being stuck in a government bureaucracy dealing with this repair shop. Major disconnect in communication between my insurance company and the Classic Collision rep. I am managing this claim like it is a part time job and things are still not moving. I wish I could take the car somewhere else, but unfortunately it is not drivable. Be prepared to wait a long time and forget about this business taking the lead to communicate and keep you informed. I can't speak to the quality of repairs yet, but I am sharing that their parking lot is full of damaged cars and things don't seem to move once they got your vehicle. On the other hand- I had a very good experience at Classic Collisions in Marietta previously, so I am only speaking about the Sandy Springs CC shop. I know things can be done better. Managment, please examine the situation and give Matt some help, maybe he is overloaded with work and that's why the customer service suffers. I brought my car in to Classic Collision to have it fixed after an accident and had a great experience except for the follow up after repair. I received an estimate prior to having them fix my car and at checkout was informed that there was no balance due along with paperwork of a $0 balance. After speaking with insurance company, I was informed that Heather at the location had been trying to call me. I had no missed calls or voicemails from her. As a courtesy I gave her a follow up to find out what was going in. She informed me I should have been "forthcoming" about the payment received If she did her job and properly communicated with the insurance company this would have been handled appropriately and I suspect her attitude was because they were left with a balance. I also left the shop and realized there was a flapping sound on my car only discover that when removing the bumper they jacked up the car too close to the spat and bent it, but somehow forgot to mention this! This was my first time having a car repair due to an accident and I see why they have an F rating with the BBB. read more

If you have a Tesla it's almost impossible to reach anyone. They never answer the phone and when they transfer you the line is always busy.

We went to classic collision because they're close to our house in Sandy Springs. They never called to set up an appointment after our insurance company had sent over all of the paperwork. I called them and the phone rang about 50 times before someone picked up. I tried to speak with the person that our insurance company was in contact with but they were busy. I told the woman on the phone that we hadn't been called to set up an appointment yet. She had the attitude that she really didn't care about whether we came to that location or not. I asked to speak to the manager because the last person you want is someone like that answering your phones. After waiting 20 minutes to speak with a manager I gave up. I decided to move the claim to another location. It does really seem like they don't want your business in Sandy Springs. They must be too busy, so don't waste your time here and go to Buckhead or one of the other locations. When I called Buckhead I got a manager right away and moved the claim. I prefer to do business with folks that answer the phone and are responsive. read more

Up until recently, I had never been in a car accident. Unfortunately, life happened and I got into two consecutive accidents over the span of approximately 2-3 weeks. It is with great reluctance that I rate this place one star. Classic Collision offered the most frustrating customer experience that I've had to date. I highly encourage anyone in need of a repair or any other automotive service to either go elsewhere or do it yourself. It wasn't just the lack of updates to keep me abreast of what was going on with my car. It wasn't just the length of time needed to complete the repair (4 weeks for, at worst, a three day job). It wasn't just the constantly changing finish dates (I would get a new one every time I inquired about the services). It wasn't just the lack of ownership when problems manifested themselves. The issue that finally got the best of my patience occurred during the last week of this debacle. Geico stopped paying for the rental (approximately December 13th) as it seemed Classic Collision was content taking its time in repairing my vehicle. I was assured it would be no big deal as Classic Collision would be wrapping things up soon anyway. Wrong. It would be another week before I received my car (December 18th). The people at Enterprise were eager to close out the rental as Geico was no longer willing to extend it, so they reached out to me. I informed them that I still did not have my car and didn't want to be stranded without a car to drive back and forth to work. Furthermore, I provided them with my point of contact at Classic Collision. I figured she would be best positioned to take care of that sort of issue. Wrong. Rather than picking things up from where Geico left off, Classic Collision opted to flat out ignore Enterprise's phone calls. I assumed there was some sort of communication issue on Enterprise's end, so I called Classic Collision. I went several days without a response. When I finally reached someone, I was informed that the reservation had been taken care of. Imagine my surprise when I saw the charge from Enterprise on my credit card. Did I mention Classic Collision has an Enterprise location on the premises? A little while after I had to reach out to the insurance adjuster to let him know how well things were not progressing, I was issued a refund for the rental I paid for. It didn't have to be this way but for some reason, Classic Collision was determined to make it that way. Don't be fooled by the reviews. Save your nerves by taking your business to someone that values your time and money. read more

At the beginning of March I was the filling in a nasty rear end sandwich. My 2010 Mazda 3 (and I) took the full brunt of the impact, coming out of it with rear bumper damage and almost total destruction at the front. Our insurance company gave us a couple of recommended body shops to take it to, and this one was the one we chose on the basis of good reviews - we only found out later that my husband's uncle will ONLY take his treasured vehicles here. Cornelius was the supervisor of the work on my poor car and I cannot recommend both him and this place highly enough. My car is my baby, and while I was recovering, I was sent regular updates with photos that showed the progress of the repairs (which greatly helped my peace of mind). It took just about two weeks (there was a LOT of work to do!), and then we got the call to come and pick it up. Pulling in, we were mightily impressed with the scale and cleanliness of the facility. And I could not be more thrilled with the work that was done on my car. It looked better than it did when I first got it! I almost couldn't believe it was the same vehicle - it was spotless inside and out. The only remnants of the accident were the surface scratches on my license plate (which they carefully bent back into shape). I was also thrilled to be told that the repairs were guaranteed for the lifetime of the car as long as I owned it. Cornelius was a lovely fellow to talk to and incredibly helpful, as were the other employees we encountered. The work was SO good that my husband ended up inquiring about some cosmetic repairs on his Acura RSX. I smelt jealousy. ;) I've posted a photo of the before and after shots. I've never been in an accident so I'm feeling my way through this. Monday I gave the wrong claim information. I got back there today for my appointment and told her I'm sorry the claim information has changed. from the minute, I said that, their front desk associate went completely passive, aggressive angry. She sneered her lip curled and said sarcastically well, I wish you would've told me that and called me before. I'm sorry this is my first accident. I didn't realize that I'm supposed to know what you know by working there full-time. I asked her if it was too much if I should find a different garage and she continued passive aggressive of course, so now her liberty mutual person won't be back till the first. I have work in customer service for 13 years, so if this front desk associate ever reads this let me help you out on how to be civil. If someone comes in and has a change that they weren't aware of or they didn't have the knowledge to call before, you can say any of the following. I'm sorry we may have to reschedule you, but we can definitely change the claim information over. Or I understand. I'm sorry we couldn't look at this today. Let me get you set up for another appointment. or I'm sorry now that all the claim information has changed, we may not be able to service you car today. 7 minutes ago TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION! Car was fixed inappropriately and when I needed it fixed AGAIN, They refused to put me in a rental... "it'll only take 15 minutes," turned into it taking 4 hours! So I was stranded WITHOUT a vehicle! "We will be sure to have it to you by 4 pm," I didn't get my car until 5!!!! Please DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! Every single person I encountered was terrible. They don't believe in customer satisfaction. Also, work was incomplete and I don't understand how they let me take my care with the work being half done, but then give me hell when trying to get another rental! I don't want to sit in a car shop all day!!! Warning if you deal with ANYONE name Daryl, he's pretty much a LIAR! All these people at this location need customer service training! HERE'S AN UPDATE: Someone at the shop changed my number in the computer system so that they won't be able to call me to follow up on my complaint! Isn't that hilarious and unprofessional?? DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! HORRIBLE customer service! I came to drop off my 2018 Tesla on April 11, 2019 for minor damage, (after hearing that they are a Tesla approved body shop). I was told by Austin that Tesla parts take a long time to get, and it could be between a month to 6 weeks until the parts came in. I accepted that because unfortunately that is common knowledge. On May 7th, almost a month later, I received an update email saying my car was 51 % done and to expect a pick up date of May 31 at 4 pm. I figured the parts had arrived and they had begun work. Literally the next day, I received another email update saying my car was still on track for May 31st. Meanwhile, keep in mind, that no one from the shop had called me- I had only been receiving email updates. Just 9 days ago, on May 20 th, I was happy to read my latest update which said my car was " near completion" and they would CONTACT ME if there were any delays. Again, the update said I can expect to pick up my car May 31st at 4 pm. Still with no phone call, I finally decided to call the shop myself to confirm I could pick up my car ( which was supposed to be ready in 2 days). I spoke to Austin, who simply and unapologetically informed me that they still didn't have all the parts in and have not yet begun work on my car other than to take it all apart!! I was in complete shock. They REPEATEDLY told me that it would be ready May 31st and even told me they were "nearing completion" 9 days prior! I asked when they could expect the parts and he said he " had no idea because it was all computerized and there was no live person he could speak to for an ETA". If that answer wasn't frustrating enough, he further said that once they got the parts, the repair work would take a month and a half to two months!! I could not believe what I heard! I understand Tesla parts take a long time to arrive, but to say that once they had the parts it would take them up to two months to fix?! I've never heard such a thing in all the body shops I've been to over the years. It was like they got their check from the insurance company and had no interest in getting my car done. They must literally have cars sitting around on their lots not being attended to while they check in other cars to get the insurance payments rolling in. From countless other Yelp reviews, it is obvious that is the case. Austin essentially called me a liar for stating that they had given me a pick of date of May 31 st. He told me verbatim that they had done " nothing wrong", assuming no responsibility for their lack of communication and poor customer service. He was so concerned about talking over me to make his point that they had done nothing wrong, that he failed to acknowledge and try and understand why I could be so frustrated and confused. Classic Collision truly made me feel like they are all about taking the insurance money and not at all about HONEST communication and customer service. I texted Austin screenshots of my updates to show him the "proof" of their ongoing email updates. Not surprisingly, he didn't respond. Well, actually, he did an hour later, by simply sending out my latest update which now says my pick up date has been changed from May 31 to July 31! I'm sure after writing this review that date will be extended even further. But I feel I must warn others before they bring their car to this place. I have no choice at this point but to keep my car there as insurance has already paid. I can only hope that they will take some pride in the repair work they do ( when they finally get around to doing it), because their customer service and communication skills could not be worse! After 9 months, 5 visits, and more attempts at communication and resolution than I can count, I must take the time to write this review. In September 2018, my car had both passenger windows busted out by thieves. I figured it would be a fairly simple repair, so I made the mistake of not researching this shop. I had heard of Classic Collisions, and they work with Geico, so they should do fine. I was wrong, and I wish I had done the research. My adjuster estimated the repair would take 4 days - it took nearly a month. The shop attributed it to a back-order on parts, which I can understand. I drive a 2018 Alfa Romeo, and I know the relative rarity may make parts hard to come by. After I drove off the lot, I noticed a significant rattle coming out of the passenger side door when certain bass notes hit in my music. I took it back the next day, at which point Travis took it to the back, and said they had found a loose spring in the window control unit that hadn't been put back on properly when they were putting the door back together. He said that they fixed it, so I turned the radio up a bit, and it appeared the rattle was gone. I thanked him and left, glad to finally have my car back. The next day the rattle was back. I am a very busy person, and although this rattle was maddening, it has always taken a back seat in terms of priority, especially given CCSS is nearly an hour drive one-way and they are impossible to get in touch with. In short, Travis admitted one day that the screw had been irreparably bent out of place and had patched it with some sort of compound to prevent it from rattling. He asked if I would like him to replace the unit, and I replied "of course I do." He did just that, and assured me he would fix it no matter what, just asked I "please not leave a bad review." I do not usually leave reviews, and I did not anticipate this getting to this point, but I have been patient enough. I get to the point where the rattle is driving me mental. Travis tells me what days he is in and to bring it by. I come in at 8am on a rare off-day and tell him I am prepared to leave the car there and get a rental for as long as it takes to actually diagnose the issue and fix it, and to tell me if he is simply not able to do it so I can take it in to Alfa Romeo. He was busy at the time, and I had come in without an appointment, so I was fine with him telling me he couldn't look at it that second. We reached an agreement in which he was going to look at it that day, and if he could not fix it he would take it to Alfa the next morning. I set an appointment with Alfa at 10am the next day, and told him to let me know by the end of the night whether I had to come and pick the car up to take it to Alfa in the morning, at which point he told me he would take it to Alfa himself for the appointment time should he decide it was necessary. I got a rental and left. I heard nothing that night, nor did I hear anything the next day. I tried calling CC multiple times and getting their voicemail, to the point where I actually had to call Alfa and ask a very confused receptionist whether they had my car... They did not. I get caught up with work, and stay patient with CC, assuming they had kept the car to fix it and that they would let me know when it was ready. Nearly a week goes by, at which point I start calling incessantly. 4 times the receptionist patches me through to the shop, and 4 times I get a voicemail box that isn't even set up. I leave a voicemail each time. The fifth time I call, it is about an hour to close, and I tell the receptionist she needs to physically hand the phone to somebody that can tell me what is going on with my car. The person finally says the car is "ready". Would have been good to know earlier.. I rush to pick it up, and they tell me that they couldn't hear a rattle, and that nothing had been done... In a week. I take the guy that's there to the car, and put a song on. The rattle is right there! Did you even look at it!? I expect not. He says he is sorry, and that I should just take it to Alfa. I've been dealing with this company since September and 5 months later, our car has still not been fixed. We've been dealing with not only 5+ dropoffs of this car but constantly getting lied to about where our car's been taken for work and how long they will have it. They will tell us that they're "waiting on parts" or "waiting on Geico to approve the parts" and most recently, we were told that they were putting on new struts in the front, but I changed the oil this weekend and they did not put new struts on the car. Which if they did actually run it by Geico, would constitute insurance fraud so I hope that Braxton is in some way misinformed about what he's telling me. If you have a problem with your car, you might as well drive it off a cliff rather than taking it here because you will want to after you have to deal with this place in the aftermath of their "repairs". read more

I had front-end damage to my car. They fixed the car faster than expected and it looks great. I got text messages frequently letting me know the status of parts, repairs, paint, etc. Everyone was friendly in the shop and the office. Dealing with insurance companies and rental car companies has been horrific. Classic Collision was the one bright spot in this whole ordeal. read more

This body shop is horrible. I really regret taking my car there and I might need to sell it given that they have ruined it. So many things wrong with these people: 1) When I got my car back the carpet was wet and the car was smelling of mold. This is a brand new 2018 Mercedes which had new car smell, and now it smells horrible. They messed up my $117,000 car. 2) Super slow. Whatever repair time they quote it, multiply that by 5. If it is a week, plan on 5 weeks. They have had my car 5 weeks, and the only external body part needing replacement was the bumper. It took them a week just to write an estimate for the insurance company, and then they had to do 3 supplementals over the following 3 weeks because they missed things. Even then they forgot things and were ordering more parts in week 5. 3) They don't plan ahead, very poor response times to customers. Don't get a sense of competence. The lady who answers the phone is rude. They often don't call back and you have to chase them down. Sometimes you have to go in person because they don't answer the phone. 4) The work wasn't perfect either. Regret bringing my car here. Go to a different bodyshop. These people are not Mercedes quality. I recently found out that when RBM needs work done they send their cars to ECR even though ECR isn't Mercedes certified because they know Classic is not dependable for good work. read more

It has been 2 months exactly since i dropped off my bmw at the location near alpharetta (carland location). The back quarter panel needed to be replaced. Turns out they told me the technicians there werent skilled enough to assemble bmw body work so they transferred it to this location. Theu mustve put the car on the back of the back burner to work on. Because every week I get an excuse from them saying its been delayed until the next week. This has been going on for 2 months now. I will never recommend this chain to anyone. If it takes them two months to replace a quarter panel, then you know you are allowing unskilled laborers to work on your vehicle.
