I'm pleased with the work Classic Collision of Marietta (Cobb Parkway) did to my car, but it wasn't without its problems. Classic Collision is an auto body shop chain with about 20 locations in metro Atlanta. I brought my car to this location because it's close to where I work, it has good reviews on Yelp, and I had a previous excellent experience at the company's Buckhead location. My car sustained minor damage to the rear bumper, molding, and trim after a hit-and-run driver swiped my car while it was parked. My insurance covered the damages less my policy's $250 deductible. The insurance company cut me a check for $547.86 and I paid Classic Collision $797.86 ($547.86 + $250.00). Classic Collision needed a bit more time to work on my car, so they got a supplement of $158.55 directly from my insurance company. In total, the repair work cost $932.33. Per my insurance company's instructions, I first asked Classic Collision to order the parts necessary for my repair before dropping my car off at the shop. I made an appointment for a Monday morning (making sure I scheduled a Monday after the parts had arrived) and dropped my car off first thing that Monday morning. I had my car back the following Thursday morning, roughly three days later. My insurance company set me up with a rental car through Enterprise. Conveniently, there's an Enterprise branch just up the street and there's also an Enterprise office inside Classic Collision. I arranged through my insurance company, Travelers, to pick up my rental car at Classic Collision. The Enterprise rep at Classic Collision and he didn't see my name on his reservation print-out for the day even though I made a reservation days in advance. The rep told me the reason for this was because his list consisted of GEICO customers only. Since I booked through Travelers, he had to manually look up my reservation on his computer. This resulted in about a 20-30 minute delay in getting my rental. Also, the rep had run out of rentals to give away on-site, so we had to wait for my rental to be delivered from the branch. Classic Collision's Jordan Toro and Tyler Evans worked with me on my car. When I dropped off the car, Tyler checked me in. He took a look at my car, jotted down some notes, had me sign something, and I was off. It was quick. I opted to receive daily text updates from Classic Collision. I replied to one of the texts with a question and actually received a reply the next morning, so you're not just texting a machine. I received a combination of phone calls and texts from Jordan throughout the entire process so the communication was good. I did receive some confusing and contradictory texts towards the end of the repair process. Someone texted me telling me that my car would be ready at 6pm (closing time) on Wednesday. That was followed by a text the next morning that said my car was "70% complete" and was "still on target" for Friday at 4pm. I called Jordan to confirm the correct pick-up time and was told Thursday morning. I met Jordan when I picked up my car. My car had been handwashed and looked fantastic. The body and paint work were terrific. I did notice a couple minor imperfections in the paint right beneath the bumper molding, but I can live with them. That night, I decided to check to make sure the side marker lamps on my rear bumper were reinstalled correctly. The driver side rear marker wasn't working. The light was out. It was working when I dropped the car off, but it wasn't working after I picked it up. I took the car back to Classic Collision the next morning (Friday) and showed Jordan. She took the car to the back to have her staff look at it. At first, she told me both my rear side marker bulbs had burned out, but that turned out not to be true. She later returned and told me I had an electrical issue that they could not diagnose because they did not have the proper equipment. It was Jordan's belief that I had a preexisting electrical issue with my rear bumper and that it was not Classic Collision's fault. She said both my left and right markers weren't working when I brought the car in. I disagreed because I knew the lights were working before I took my car in for repairs. Long story short, I had to schedule a separate appointment with the dealer to diagnose the issue. Jordan agreed that if the issue was Classic Collision's fault, they would take care of it. Otherwise, I would be responsible for the dealer's $135 diagnosis fee and any repair costs if I chose to have the light repaired. I took my car to the dealer the following Monday and they fixed the problem. It turned out there was a loose connection inside my tail light assembly. The dealer worked directly with Classic Collision on any repair costs incurred and I wasn't charged anything. Someone at the dealer told me Classic Collision does good work, but this wasn't the first time they've run into a situation like this where Classic Collision made a mistake they had to fix.

The way they returned my car. I couldn't even drive home with a license plate on it!

I took my SUV there to have them determine how much more damage was done by a driver that had GEICO insurance. Initial estimate $4,500. Supplement $4,000. It's a 2018 with a little over 100,000 miles on it, and it has two class action suits against it. The body shop said it wasn't totaled, and GEICO said they would repair it. It isn't even worth that because there was also another accident with small damage. I wanted to do cash in lieu of repair, and GEICO refused. So, Classic Collision couldn't put my car back together and I had to pick it up with a missing muffler, and a missing bumper. It was given back to me in an illegal driving condition because the license plate couldn't even be put on because the bumper was missing. They loaded all the damaged parts in the back of the vehicle, and the owner, James, had to try and find my license plate amongst the rubble and told me to keep it up front with me. I was crying and explained to him that I was a single mom with a disabled daughter, and honestly, no one cares about your life situation. I even offered to pay them from the initial insurance payment to put a bumper back on and a muffler. They refused. They want ALL the money. So, GEICO wants to pay the least they can, so I know they wouldn't have to pay Classic another $4,000, and the body shop wouldn't get anything if it was totaled. They sent notification to Enterprise with the box checked that said, "Total Loss." Hmm. Can you say deceptive practices? I took the vehicle in for an estimate, and took it home in worst condition than when it arrived. Next to the box that said I give them permission to repair my vehicle after the tear down, I wrote, "Notify first." Why would I say that if I knew they were just going to make me repair the vehicle, or return it in worse condition than when I took it to them. A small claims court action may be coming their way.

Whatever you do if you're in a car accident. Or if you just have a simple fender bender DO NOT take your car to Classic Collision. They are the absolute worse and they do not listen to their customers. All they care about is making money. I brought my car to them to fix after a accident 2 days before Christmas. It was completely the other driver's fault and all they had to do was repair a bumper and a headlight. I told the manager James that I could not afford for my car to be a total loss. Instead what James Did was give geico a $8000 estimate which was more than what my 2009. Toyota Camry was worth. He knew that and still submitted an $8000 estimate which ultimately put my car at a total loss. On top of that they stripped my car down to a unnecessary condition and drained my battery (only a year old battery). Claiming to see if there was more damage, all a plan for them to be able to drum up and a ridiculous estimate to submit. Mind you it was already agreed (so I thought and was told) that the initial estimate which included just repairs for the bumper and headlight would be honored. Do you see any SO-CALLED extensive frame damage that would require $8000 worth of repairs. They weren't even going to paint! That total loss settlement money did not go to me but my lein holder( life lesson learned never use your car as collateral for a loan without GAP insurance). I had to jump through so many hoops and go through so much. Frustration and aggravation would to be able to retain my car. Now I'm still stuck with a car that was not repaired. I purposely put up these photos so I can get some honest feedback. Do you really think this would have cost $8000 to repair? DO NOT ABSOLUTELY DO NOT go to Classic Collision in Marietta Georgia on CobbParkway. Unless you want to pay hundreds of times more than what you should pay and if you like getting told that you'll be called back and no one ever calls you.

I was side swiped in a hit and run 10 days ago when someone crossed over the double yellow line into my lane and took off my mirror and dented my door. I looked up body shops near my office online and decided to give Classic Collision a try because they were locally owned and a family business. I worked with Jim, who was a really nice man and an absolute pleasure to work with. He gave me a quote in about 30 minutes 9 days ago. I wanted to get my mirror replaced but didn't want to have to pay full price for a new mirror so he told me he'd look around and call me when he found one used. Literally 10 minutes after I left, he called me saying he'd found one and that I could get it put on first thing the next morning. I went the next morning and had my mirror replaced. It only took about 30 minutes so I was able to make it to work on time. I set up an appointment to drop my car off the next Monday to have the dent removed and the door repainted. I dropped my car off on Monday and had a rental car within 20 minutes from the on site Enterprise office. Jim said my car would be done by EOD Tuesday. When I called Tuesday afternoon, he told me I could pick it up at 5. I swung by at 5:45 and he was there waiting for me, with my door looking brand new. Originally in my estimate, Jim wasn't going to replace the belt molding of my car because I didn't want to pay extra and it didn't look all that bad. However, he ended up replacing the molding without raising the price. An especially nice touch I noticed was that my seats had been cleaned and my car had been vacuumed. It was nice to get back in a clean, fixed car and feel good about my situation again after the hit and run. I also appreciated the way I was treated--they never tried to cheat me or hike my prices just because I was a young woman new to the city who didn't know much about body work/pricing. It seemed very reasonable, and they were very honest with me. I would recommend Classic Collision to anyone needing body work.

Before an after. The bumper looks like new and the paint job looks great.

My car had been vibrating some at high speeds for a couple months now (not anything extreme, but noticeable) and my main mechanic shop doesn't do wheel balancing, so I came by to get my tires rotated and wheels balanced. My Lexus finally has its smooth ride back again. I was pretty shocked at the difference afterward. I guess I had gotten accustomed to some of the bumpiness! Butler did a great job AND I noticed that they shined my tires and left the interior of my car the way they found it (I've had mechanics leave grease on my seats before lol). Butler is a great example of a high-quality, professional auto shop. I don't play around when it comes to my car, I try to do everything I can to take good care of it - that includes not cheaping out by going to competitors that might have lower prices but also lower quality work. I know my car is in good hands here!

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at Butler Tires & Wheels in Marietta…read more I went in because I wanted my truck inspected to determine whether I actually needed new brakes and rotors. I explained the symptoms to Wayne, who walked outside with me for about 3-5 minutes, looked at my truck without bringing it into the shop, and told me I needed both brakes and rotors. He said the parts would have to be ordered and would take a couple of days to arrive. Based on his recommendation, I paid a $1,000 deposit toward the quoted repair cost of approximately $2,600. From that point forward, communication was terrible. I repeatedly had to call the store myself to check whether the parts had arrived. I was told several times that someone would call me back, but I never received those calls. When I finally dropped my truck off for the repair, I was told it would only take a couple of hours. Instead, they kept my vehicle all day. I dropped it off at 8:00 a.m., and when I called around 4:00 p.m., I was told it would be ready before closing. It wasn't. I had to return the following morning. When I arrived to pick up my truck, I learned that only the brakes had been replaced because they had ordered the wrong rotors. This was incredibly frustrating because, had the vehicle been properly inspected before ordering parts, this mistake could likely have been avoided. I was then told the correct rotors would arrive later that day or by Monday morning and that someone would call me. Once again, no one called. By Thursday, after still hearing nothing, I called the store again. I was told Wayne was not there and apparently had not been there all week, but that the correct rotors had finally arrived. When I asked how long the repair would take, I was told my truck would have to be "worked in." I asked if I could schedule an appointment, but I was still told it would simply have to be worked in. After everything that had already happened, that response was unacceptable. At that point, I decided I no longer wanted Butler Tires & Wheels to complete the rotor replacement and requested a refund for the difference between what I paid and the brake work that was actually completed. John assured me he would call me back before the close of business with a resolution. As of after 6:00 p.m., after the store had already closed, I still had not received a phone call. My experience was marked by poor communication, repeated broken promises, inaccurate parts ordering, unnecessary delays, and a lack of accountability. I understand that mistakes happen, but what is most frustrating is the complete lack of follow-through and customer service throughout the entire process. I cannot recommend Butler Tires & Wheels based on my experience, and I hope management addresses these communication and service issues so future customers are treated with more professionalism and respect.
