I'm writing this review again because my original one somehow disappeared. A few months ago, I took my car in for a routine oil change, and it turned into one of the worst service experiences I've had. The staff was rude, seemed untrained, and created a dangerous situation. One employee signaled for me to drive out, even though another employee was still underneath my car. After I followed their directions, they threatened to sue me instead of taking responsibility for their own mistake. That alone was alarming. On top of that, they didn't seem to know what type of oil my car required or that it uses extended-life oil. I expected basic automotive knowledge from a business that performs oil changes. There were other problems during my visit that I don't remember well enough to describe accurately because it's been a few months, but the overall experience was far worse than I've been able to capture here. I'm posting this again because my first review disappeared, and I wanted to make sure my experience was documented for others to consider. I suggest Take 5. read more

The service itself was fine. I swear you could have just changed your air filter last week and they'll always try to tell you that you need a new one when you're in there for a simple oil change. Other than that I wasn't too happy with the grease/oil stains on the inside of my a-pillar on my car they left when they were affixing the oil change sticker to the windshield. I still have t gotten it all off And speaking of the oil change sticker they told me I needed to come back at 3k miles. Even the oil companies will tell you synthetic oil is good for 5k. This has been a horrible experience and I will avoid this place in the future. I came here for a simple oil change and they were able to deliver on that. They regularly run out of different types of oil and you have to get whatever they have. This place has also been unable to perform emission tests for a while. They recommended that I get new brakes, transmission fluid change, fuel system cleaning service, and replace air filters. The price they originally quoted me was changed due to more labor than expected. The mechanic took my dash off in order to install the air cabin filter. He was unable to re-install the dash correctly and my glove box would not close. I was asked to come back on Wednesday because that mechanic would be able to fix his mistake. The mechanic nor the manager showed up on Wednesday. The mechanic on duty refused to fix another mechanic's mistake without getting paid. The store manager called me on Friday and asked me to come in on Saturday to get the glove box fixed. It took him about 30 minutes. No discounts on all the back and forth. read more

I'm very shocked at how the store on Whitlock is being ran by the new manager. He's very rude and aggressive with his employees. I'm use to seeing the workers smile an happy to be there. But now they all look miserable. The hole vibe an atmosphere is just different. read more

I always go to this location. Looking for an online coupon I saw the reviews on this place. I pulled up saying " why are tall reviews so bad, I always come here" . we all could not figure it out. I guess I just been lucky and my husband and everyone else I send here. this place is fast and great. I don't know why all the weird reviews but I have had 6 synthectic oil changes. my husband has had 4 of the same and my neighbors rotating over 9 oil changes . no body has had a problem. I drive a 24 Kia my husband's a 2022 Cadillac and my neighbors drives-a benz Subaru and Audi. no body has had any issues. so I just wanted to be clear this place is everything read more

Do not go here. As stated in previous reviews, this location lacks complete integrity and avoids accountability like the plague. Their high as a kite "parking attendant" was guiding a car next to me out of a parking spot. The woman in the car repeatedly said that she felt like she was going to hit me. The attendant insisted she was clear over and over again despite her stoping several times to express her concern. She wound up hitting my car when he instructed her to "keep going you have plenty of room". We both exited our cars and asked him how he could say she was good when she was that close. He apologized, said our services would be free, but as soon as the manager caught wind of the accident, the parking attendant ran inside and was never to be seen again. Manager said " If you don't want to hit a car, don't hit a car. You don't have to listen to him. We don't give free services and you guys need to go somwhere else." Two cars damaged because of negligence and laziness. It costs nothing to do the right thing, but avoiding accountability and the refusal to offer anything resembling decent customer service is apparently priceless to the owners and operators at this location. read more

PLEASE do not give them your business!!! My husband had his oil changed there and they left his oil drainage plus loose. It came out and all the oil drained and engine was blown within seconds while driving. Humans make mistakes and it's how you respond and take responsibility. Had car inspected by two mechanics and both said it was the last place that you had your oil changed that is responsible. Apparently, it's a mistake that happens and the responsible party pays (their insurance) for all costs to replace engine, rental car, and towing. Not the case for us! Mind you, this is a 2022 Bronco with less than 30,000 miles. They are doing everything they can to not take responsibility...even lying. I'm not saying this will happen to you, but if it does do not expect them to do the right thing!!! read more

I went to this Grease Monkey yesterday to get a oil change as it was due! I usually go to a Chevy dealership in town but I dud not want to wait 2-3 hours to get an oil change! I will say that this location was excellent!! The people working there were very customer oriented! They did a full inspection of my truck and topped off the fluids, checked my air filters and tires. ie.. windshield wiper solution! I even had them replace my brake fluid as it has never been replaced. They did all this while I was in my truck in it took approximately 35 minutes! Additionally, the dealership would have charged me $325.00 or more to have this work don! I will give my service business to this Grease Monkey in the future! read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE. MY VEHICLE WAS BROKEN INTO AND THEY STILL HAVEN'T FIXED IT... I took my truck there to get brakes checked and they kept it for a week. They didn't tell me until 4 days later. MY WINDOW HAS STILL NOT BEEN REPLACED AND THEY DID NOTHING TO HELP ME other than telling me their insurance adjuster will call me eventually. I wouldn't trust them with an oil change - they overcharge anyways, just drive a little further north towards Sandy Springs. read more

The Grease Monkey located at 1953 Howell Mill road is HORRIBLE. Today was my first time trying them (guaranteed last). they were all sitting around as I pulled in. Once I got into the bay, no one greeted me at all. They said "pop the hood and turn the truck off". So I did. One man comes to my window and says "which oil change you want?" I circle the synthetic one for $72.99. He proceeds to change the oil. Once they were done, another man from inside comes out and says "it will be $100.90" I ask, "is tax $30?" He says no your truck required more than 5 quarts of oil. So I ask "shouldn't you inform me before just charging me?" He says "oh yeah my bad. I'll let them know." As a black business owner, I feel it is sad that black men nowadays have horrible customer service. In addition they are out here, trying to scheme for every small penny. I really hope grease monkey gets it together, because I will no longer patronize their business. And I encourage anyone else reading this to do the same. Absolutely the worst experience from start to finish. Charged for services that were not completed, and when questioned about it the staff brushed it off and said they were finished. Filled out the survey on my receipt and when asked if I would like to be contacted regarding my visit I said yes. A week later and nobody has reached out to me. I was a customer of grease monkey. I had a problem with my service at the grease monkey on Roswell road 1/25/24. I had three services done: An oil change, a brake fluid flush, and injector fluid. I was there for less than 30 minutes and saw that my car was getting minimal attention. When they finished I paid, left, and pulled over in the parking lot. I popped my hood to do a quick inspection by checking the oil filter. It was caked in dirt and did not look like it had even been touched. I took pictures of said filter and did a finger swipe to exam the dirt. After realizing my oil filter had not been touched and therefore my oil change was not complete. I went back to talk to the manager about the work that was done. The manager said she would come out and inspect the car. The female manager and her mechanic came out together. I spoke to them questioning the work that was done. I asked them why my oil filter was filthy like dirty rims on a car. The mechanic said the dirt came from his rag when screwing it on. The manager tells me the mechanic's initials will be on the oil filter to prove it was changed. The mechanic then responded, no, they won't be on that one. The mechanic then suggests changing the oil filter now, which the manager then responded to with saying, that will mess up my inventory, just call the district manager. The mechanic said no,no, don't call them, let's change it now. They both went back inside as I waited outside. The manager said she was calling the district manager and the mechanic was getting a new oil filter. The mechanic came back out with the new oil filter and a rag in hand. This new oil filter was sparkling white. I took pictures of this in his hands. I questioned him saying why is that one perfectly clean. He responded with, I just cleaned it off with the rag, contradicting his previous statement about the filter being dirty from the rag. After being deceitful, I said to the mechanic, no thank you on the new oil filter, I will call the district manager. And then I left. My brother was on the phone the entire time and spoke to the manager himself. They were very obviously acting in a fraudulent manner. We then took my Volkswagen to the dealership for inspection the next day. They said my brake fluid was still dirty and that I needed an oil change as well. We had this documented with them. We are now requesting a full refund from grease monkey as none of the services were completed properly. read more
