We're in the home-stretch of a multi-year yard and house face-lift project that started in 2018. We'd been gathering thoughts, materials, and concepts for several years into a rubric for what good could like. We finally the pulled trigger contacting a half-dozen landscapers and hardscapers to see what it would take to make it real. Many treated the project like a blockwork exercise - angular, rigid and formulaic. We were lucky to find a great hardscaper that introduced us to Classic Nursery as a recommendation (see Olympic Rockeries). Classic won thru the dating-phase by actually reading our rubric and listening to what we wanted, unlike others who tried to steer us to what they wanted to do. Alan's approach helped us figure through our staging and sequencing for the whole project - I felt he completely understood what our vision of the end goal was, and made it better. We worked on a design together through dialog, email, and calls with Alan, Devin, and team - coordinating hardscaping, softscaping, fencing, electrical trades and the city to make a plan. The projected kicked off with a pretty traumatic scrape of the majority of the yard, moving and saving plants where we could. Over the course of two months, the team completely reconstructed our under-utilized/unmaintainable/unusable yard into multiple "rooms" that flowed around the house with spaces for our dogs, patios & outdoor seating, lighting, power, shade, beautify shrubberies, and strictly no grass. :) I just want to pause for a second to personally thank Alan's foreman and lead Hugo. Hugo's experience, eye for detail, advice, and craftsmanship took that rubric, plan, and raw materials, adapted them to the nuances of the terrain and surroundings, and ultimately made it real. He and his team were perfectionists, we are indebted to them. Performing such a big do-over is difficult and stressful, but definitely worth it. Some of our favorite moments from the project were the chances to cook-out for the team and break bread together in the Shade Garden during the hot summer. When I walk out of my new front door, the change that Classic et. al. made still takes my breath away. This year we will replace the siding and roof to complete the project. They made us a new home.

GoGreen is efficient and meticulous. They expeditiously met our overzealous deadlines and Jesus was very patient with our 1,001 questions via email and text. Without a doubt, I would plan to return to them for any future landscaping plans.

While landscaping companies play a crucial role in transforming outdoor spaces, my recent…read moreexperience in April/May 2025 with GoGreen Landscaping for cleanup and yard restoration work fell short of expectations. Here are the key issues that surfaced during my project: Quality of Work - The cleanup and restoration work did not meet the promised standards. Despite assurances of thoroughness, some bed areas were left uncleared, with debris and weeds remaining. Additionally, items like edging and pruning that were included in the scope of services were not performed at all. Beyond the dethatching, the lawn restoration work yielded a lackluster result. Customer Communication - Written communications with GoGreen were very frustrating. After pointing out the issues that I had with the work performed, GoGreen accused me of overwatering the new seed, planning to never pay in full, and finally of having unrealistic expectations. The issue was exacerbated after I partially paid the invoice for the cleanup work while waiting for improvements in the new lawn. After receiving some angry, defensive responses, I informed GoGreen they were no longer welcome at my home. I attempted to settle the balance by offering to pay for materials and dethatching since I now need to fix the issues myself or hire another company. I then received another email threatening me with a lien on my property if I didn't pay in full. This response felt heavy-handed and added unnecessary stress to an already frustrating experience. Despite my obvious displeasure with the outcome, I paid the outstanding balance in full. Conclusion - I'm sure after reading this review, GoGreen will write a response blaming me for the outcome. Nothing GoGreen responds with will take away the fact that I wrote this review because GoGreen failed to deliver what was promised in the original scope of work. So, if you have unlimited financial resources and have extremely low expectations regarding the outcomes of your home projects, then GoGreen might be for you. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere for landscaping services.

The issues began last December when a fencing company's negligence caused a leak and a winterization failure. The Northern Waters team initially came out to identify and resolve that specific issue. However, when we turned the water back on earlier in July, the system experienced unusually low pressure. This led to a cascading series of costly and ineffective service calls: Visit 1: A technician came out, simply confirmed the low-pressure issue, and we were charged $180 for him walking around and letting us know that indeed the system was not working. Visit 2: The technician returned later that week. He stated that sand must have been pushed into the lines during their previous winterization repair, causing a blockage. Despite this being a direct result of their prior work, we were charged an additional $480. We were assured the system was fully repaired. Unfortunately, the system was far from fixed. While it was scheduled to run every other day at 5:00 AM, we began noticing significant water pooling in certain areas. Worse, one of our larger rhododendrons is now dying due to a complete lack of watering. We ran an out-of-cycle test ourselves and discovered several outlets were still completely nonfunctional. Visit 3: The company sent out the exact same technician. I had to personally walk the property with him to point out 6 to 7 distinct nonfunctional areas that absolutely should have been addressed during the prior visits. During this walk-through, the technician identified even further issues, resulting in a staggering $880 charge for this third visit alone. I am incredibly disappointed with the service and the absolute lack of accountability. I was repeatedly charged for follow-up visits to fix issues that were either caused by their own repairs or completely missed by their technician. Combined with the property damage to our landscaping, the fact that it took three separate, expensive visits just to get the sprinkler system functioning properly is entirely unacceptable. Be aware of this company and proceed with caution before hiring them.
