It's been a hot minute but this place is still the place I'm taking my car when I need an oil change. I upgraded my '05 Focus to a 2017 Prius and after my free maintenance plan with Toyota ran out I wasn't super interested in paying dealership rates for a simple oil change. Also I didn't need to schedule anything. I showed up, was told it'd be about a 10 minute wait to get into a bay. In less time than that I had my quote for the oil change (the $24.95 advertised is for a typical oil change, anything more obviously increases the cost) but they tell you the cost before they do the work. I was quoted $70 and some change and that's what I paid. They also vacuumed out my car and overall were surprisingly friendly (just basing that on other oil places I've been). Quick, priced right and treated right. I'll be back in the recommend mileage :) read more

I consistently go to classic lube Express for oil changes. I have always been very satisfied with the service and the value. However on a recent visit I had unbelievable experience whereby I was told that my oil is clean and that no oil change was necessary. The guy who was responsible for this is Nick, a good looking kid with awesome hair and a fabulous beard.. lol. He was extremely honest and helpful he saved me money and I will continue to return for regular oil changes. I really like this place for most of my car's services! Prices are very reasonable, compared to others in the area, and of course dealerships. You don't feel pressured to get more than what you went there for, but they will let you know if your car need other services and they will give you options for you to decide. No haggling at all. Carefully review the paperwork before paying. During my first visit, I was not informed of an extra $10 charge for removing a part in order to change the oil on my 2018 Ford Focus. I was alone and my husband found the charge after I got home and told him the dealership charges me for the same service. He called and asked for the charge to be refunded but it was not granted. I'm not sure how common it is to say this, but I will be returning to the dealership. read more

I am a regular customer. I checked my oil at home because I noticed that I was over my sticker recommendation. The dipstick indicated to add oil. I added two quarts. After running the vehicle for 5 minutes I recheck the dipstick. The oil registered above the fill line. I brought the vehicle in the very next day (today). During my service the technicians were bantering back and forth in a negative fashion about this is what happens when you go over your recommended mileage. I heard the manager say"you should just give this car back!"at that point I spoke through my window,*enough with the comments guys just change my oil". The crew started laughing. I told them to be professional and finish my oil change please. The shop went silent and they finished the job and I hope that I can trust their work. The manager continued to want to argue with me and finally I just had to pay my fee and leave. They just lost a loyal customer! read more

Beware of their shady up-selling sales tactics to people without car knowledge. Their technician will flat out lie to you about what recommendation is really needed. Cabin air-filter is dirty and they wanna charge $30 to swap out!? (Nope, it's not dirty). License plate light bulbs to be replace for both FRONT and back for $20 ($10 each!)? (Nope, bulb is fine and my vehicle DO NOT have FRONT license plate lights, WTF!?). Among other things to beware of - fluids needs replacing/flush, belt needs replacing..etc. When they come to you with all these fixes, I highly recommend going over to your car to confirm it's really needed. Otherwise, know your vehicle and check these basic items before going in to them. read more

Well, I came here at the urging of a coworker when I mentioned that my car needed an oil change and a new battery. I went during my lunch break, and they got me in right away. The staff was efficient and quick, but pretty lacking on the customer service. There was very little friendliness in all of my interactions. After they had my car in the bay, someone came in to tell me my oil would cost $60 to replace (despite a big sign outside saying $24.99). No explanation as to why, just "that's what it costs". All in all, it's a good place to go when you need a quick oil change, but I didn't really care for the place. I've been to many other places where the interactions were more friendly and real. I was speaking with the manager on shift and he said he had 5 years experience working at a competitor prior to starting at classic lube express. As I was leaving he noticed my front right headlight was out and I told him I'd like to get it replaced. He ran into the shop and grabbed a new headlight and replaced it free of charge. I recently got a Mini and was nervous they wouldnt be able to service it. Turns out, they could. It was a little pricier but substantially cheaper than resorting to dealership prices. My total was reasonable considering I also added on the flush cleaning for good measure because I'm not the first owner and wasn't aware of the last time the system was cleaned. I had been going here for years. I came in to get a LOF, and they mentioned a couple of things that were wrong that could be fixed. When I said that I would fix them, the guy looked angry. I didn't check my levels after the LOF, because they had done a good job earlier. I drove out and since then, my transmission was acting strange. I had to take it to another shop to find out what the problem was. There was no AT fluid! It had been removed but not replaced. Then I checked the oil level. It was sky high! When the new shop replaced the AT fluid, the transmission was ok, but the oil pan now has leaks because the oil pressure was now too high. Thanks a lot! The most expensive oil change I ever got. I haven't gone back since. I would definitely check fluids right afterwards, if you are willing to brave it, especially if you declined any of the "optional" services. read more
