I had been going here for years. I came in to get a LOF, and they mentioned a couple of things that were wrong that could be fixed. When I said that I would fix them, the guy looked angry. I didn't check my levels after the LOF, because they had done a good job earlier. I drove out and since then, my transmission was acting strange. I had to take it to another shop to find out what the problem was. There was no AT fluid! It had been removed but not replaced. Then I checked the oil level. It was sky high! When the new shop replaced the AT fluid, the transmission was ok, but the oil pan now has leaks because the oil pressure was now too high. Thanks a lot! The most expensive oil change I ever got. I haven't gone back since. I would definitely check fluids right afterwards, if you are willing to brave it, especially if you declined any of the "optional" services. read more

The business replied and what is said by him is not true. I specifically said I wanted a synthetic blend oil change for a 2013 Chevrolet Spark LS. I also mentioned that requires dexos oil. I know both of my vehicles very well, as I have owned them for several years. I gave all information and your reply is complete garbage. They also charged me for a specialty oil filter. First of all, thank you for being open a Sunday. I rolled in for a much-overdue oil change, and totally expected to spend 30-60 mins in the waiting room on my phone. Here's what went down: 1:46pm Sat down in the waiting room 1:53pm Mechanic let me know about the difference in blade options 2:02pm Mechanic gave me a friendly suggestion that air filter was dirty and should be changed. 2:06pm Another mechanic drove my car out and let me know they were finished. Wait, what? Yeah, that's right. 20 whole mins of waiting. I'm a little bummed, as I was totally expecting do some work on my phone while waiting. I went onto yelp and asked for a price quote and up popped three different oil change places. Classic lube caught my eye because it was the closest place to my buddy's work, open times and competitive pricing. So I get his car and race to the shop which took longer than the oil change. All the employees were friendly, courteous and professional. Half the cost of Jiffy with none of the lip service I've gotten at the other place. About 2 weeks ago I witnessed one of there employees today acting very unprofessional. There employee was cussing and yelling at and threatening to scratch this persons car. Can not believe they would hire someone that acts in that manner. I am very disappointed to see that!!! I have been going here for years and never had any problems they have tried to up sell me but never a problem when I said I could take care of it. Also everything they said it needed in the past it did need. 2 days ago I went in for an oil change. First they said that my brake fluid was low and my air cleaner was dirty, it wasn't but I told them I would take care of it myself. Next they said that my coolant was low and my thermostat was going out. I told them that a would take it to my mechanic. The guy mansplaining to me made it sound like it was going to fry the motor if I left. The first guy said that the thermostat was going to be about $70 and they didn't know about the radiator until they fixed the thermostat. I called my mechanic he said for $70 don't risk the thermostat but if it needs a radiator come to him. When I spoke to the office guy to get the thermostat done, he then told me it would be $265 to start because they needed to do a flush of the system to do the thermostat. At that point I took it to my mechanic they pressure tested it and said it was fine and didn't charge me a thing. I guess I need a new oil change place. read more

Great service for a great price. $19.99 oil change and this is an ongoing deal. They use standard oil but you can bring your own and they will change it for you. When we asked for the price, the person quoted us still $19.99 for the oil change even if you bring you own oil. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I was told. I think there should be a discount if you bring your own product. Otherwise, we waiting less than 15 minutes for the service once our car entered the garage. The wait time total is dependent on how many cars are actually in line, but the service was relatively quick. They also check your cabin and air filters. Overall, great value. I'll most likely be back since the price beats most other businesses and the price is fixed. read more

Funny - you see these reviews and wonder if all the people are writing about the same place! OMG, my experience here was freakin' FANTASTIC!! I am a mechanic who does ALL his own work, but decided to take a friend's vehicle to Classic Lube Express to see if they did a good job so that he could keep coming back because he does not do his own work. From the greeting by Ricardo til fifteen minutes later when the oil change was done, it was a great experience. The mechanic (sorry, I did not catch his name) gracefully suggested that the air filter be replaced. Of course, I know I could have bought an air filter and put it in myself for about half the cost, but the presentation was done so nicely that it instilled confidence so I told him to do it. Larry courteously settled my bill then Ricardo had my door open for me upon my departure. I quickly saw that the "next oil change" sticker was professionally printed then saw a "Thank You" card and mint tucked on the dash panel (photo attached). Now, I know that is a bit chicky especially for such a manly man as myself, but even I thought that was a great touch! This particular location has been ANYTHING but professional! They put in the wrong oil filter in my car as a result it leaked all over and almost ruined my engine because most of the oil leaked out The same day same time a family a member was also getting her oil changed , they came in trying to sell her the fact that it needed numerous things done that it in fact did not, however she fell for the old look at the colors this means you need an Anti freeze flush, and new Cap ETC. What they neglected to mention was her radiator was cracked but they did the flush anyway charged her nearly $100 for it. When we took it back because Anti freeze was spraying ALL OVER after they had "serviced her car" they said oh yes your radiator is cracked. We can fix that for $300 you wont find any better price or work then that.( we did find better with a very reputable facility for $180). The REAL mechanic we took it to said CLEARLY her car had a small crack for sometime however once the incompetent so called mechanic at CLASSIC LUBE EXPRESS put a new cap on her radiator it made more pressure caused the ENTIRE radiator to crack and fall apart! Clearly making the condition worse then it already was. Could have caused the engine to blow and or crack a head gasket I feel as though the so called mecanice at CLASSIC LUBE EXPRESS seen to females coming and thought we are just ignorant women they could take advantage of! Its ludicrous what they did wont even admit to it. Then try to charge an astronomical amount to fix something when they NEVER should have changed her cap or did a radiator flush until it was properly fixed THEY ARE SCAM ARTIST !!!!!!!!! read more

Four stars can be pretty tricky for any auto-related business to achieve. I mean, it's the nature of the beast; upsells and sometimes outright lies are where these places make their money. Every now and then, however, you can find one that is more honest and to the point, staffed by guys who won't BS you. That was my experience going in to Classic Lube Express. I went in for an oil change, knowing full well the host of problems that my car had. (My coolant was low and needed flushing BADLY, I haven't had a power-steering flush, well, EVER, and my air filter looked like George Burns' lungs after a weekend in Vegas with the Rat Pack.) This was something of a test for them, you see. Will they identify only the issues with my car and not invent new ones, or exaggerate the seriousness of my car's condition? They performed very well! Not only were they very much to the point, but they were very accurate in naming off the issues my car had, and gave me the run down on price before I even had to ask. There was not a great deal of personability to the whole deal, but then, do you really want that? I mean, honestly - the more friendly a mechanic is, the more likely they are going to rip you off (at least in my experience.) I have no issues with the service, and my car is running great. Now if it wouldn't have taken quite as long to get my car in the bay, then it might have been a flawless experience. A half hour wait, though, for an express oil change is pushing it a bit. It's a small thing, but hey, a perfect score means a perfect experience. 4.75 stars. read more

This was my fist time coming here and I can honestly say I will return and recommend this place to others. The women who checked me in was very friendly and Efficient at her job. I pulled into the bay right away and the staff was all friendly and made small talk with me. The one guy recommend that I change my air filter and I did because it was solid black. Not once did I feel pressured by any member of the staff. They refilled all my fluids in my car, they offered to vacuum, checked my tires, washed my windows and placed a thank you card with a mint inside. When I went in to pay they also give you your choice of a fragrance tree for free. All around great experience and very customer focused. Great customer service. read more

You may pay significantly more than their advertised price of $24.99 for an oil change. They add $9 per quart for full synthetic and also charge extra for replacing a canister oil filter. Due to that and the amount of oil my car needs (5.7 quarts), they charged over $88 for my oil change. One thing I did like is their window sticker was more in line with synthetic oil - they recommended my next oil change at 6 months or 5000 miles. read more

Been getting our oil changed now for going on 4 years at this very location. They spot problems before they happen, and have even repaired 'ON THE SPOT!'. Everyone is focused and friendly when engaging conversations. High turnover place, the technicians are dedicated, loyal and very quick. I've seen them knock down long lines in no more than 15mins for those waiting in line. Best part, they have FREE WIFI for you while you wait- so stream Netflix and catch up on a show if they are busy. Its well worth it. I recently discovered that they are DISHONEST. I took my SUV in for an oil change and was told that my 4WD transfer case lubricant was black and needed service, $70. I said no thanks, and when I went to change it myself, I discovered that the lubricant was clean and clear, and definitely didn't need service. Very disappointed about being LIED to. They also frequently recommend replacing the engine air filter based on how it looks, not on the mfr. recommend svc. interval of 20-30,000 miles. Don't fall for the scam, just keep track of when you change your filter, and consider changing it yourself for about half their price. Same for your cabin air filter. read more

For all those complaining about the initial $25 fee, understand that this is labor and overhead. At roughly 10 min per change, the company is operating at $150 per hour. Now imagine that dispersed across an average five active employees and overhead, this is quite a reasonable rate for what these employees do day in and day out. Businesses have to make money, if you don't want to pay the convenience fee, do it yourself. My front end quote was +$9 per quart for full synthetic, at 5 quarts for an SUV, I expected an additional $45 charge. Although, I do have to question why synthetic would cost $9-$10 per quart when a 5 quart jug of Mobil1 Full Syn costs less than $30. Hence the four star as opposed to five. I say keep doing what you're doing. There will always be unhappy customers and more often than not, these people are simply unhappy anyways so little can be expected in terms of satisfaction. read more

For starters I would give this place a zero My daughter took my car here for a simple oil change, they told her she must also have a oil flush That did not need to be done. My daughter being young Went ahead and said ok. So she brings the car back And the car has NEVER leaked oil. In the morning I noticed over a gallon of oil all over our brand new driveway. My daughter had already left for work And didn't realize it was pouring oil out. I took the car back in ASAP!! The car was running on zero Oil at this time. Question what is so very hard about screwing on a FILTER correctly? Well that ta what these Guys did. They redid the whole oil change thanks to the manager. I went to Classic Lube Express on Walker Road for an oil change and I brought my own OEM oil filter. I asked if they would use the oil filter I brought. They agreed; however I also asked for the oil filter they would have used from their stock. This was refused. I believe Classic Lube Express on Walker Road is using inferior oil filters. read more

Took my G35 here for an oil change, for the 3rd time now. This time they went above and beyond what most shops would do. Battery needed to be replaced. ( I had noticed that in the mornings it was struggling a bit to start up) they tested the CCA and it was indeed low. (I didn't ask, they just tested it as part of the service routine) I opted for the new battery (About the same cost as buying from NAPA) except they install it. Saves me the trouble of doing so. They installed the new battery from the shelf and verified that the car started.... I feel here is where most shops would have closed the hood and sent me on my way... They re-tested the CCA and seen that it was low and that the new battery wasn't 100% Ended up swapping it out again for another battery off of the shelf.( I think even maybe a 3rd time too.) Also noticed that the connector to the battery had cracked and also replaced it as well. Also informed me that I was missing one of my battery tie downs and that I should get that taken care of as well. They really went above and beyond in my book to make sure it was done right. It reminds me of old the days when I was 16 and changing my own oil and working on cars with the old man. If your going to do it, do it right, even if it takes a bit more time. Plus the Vacuum, mint and new car smell is always a nice touch. read more
