Given that experience, when looking to add an inverter, Barney was our go to guy. We had a 2000w inverter with 400w additional solar added for a fair price. The Barney touch was that the inverter prewiring by the trailer manufacture was very poorly done. Barney contacted the trailer mfg and the inverter mfg to understand the reasons that it was set up as it was. He reviewed his solution with them and corrected the wiring to reflect standard practices. This is above and beyond what I expected. Now everything works flawlessly and we are very happy with the job.

Just want I wanted and John, and his mechanic, added side and front view camera's. No pressure at inspection let me wander through it at my leisure. After purchase, at pick up, he went over how to operate everything (I previously owned an old Class C) I had a few minor issues (can't even remember what they were), he sent his mechanic to where I was and they were fixed in no time at his cost. I see the one negative written, and I don't understand what the person didn't see on the cosmetic before he purchased the motorcycle and that used vehicle's usually have issues down the road, all John's mechanic could do is ID the problem when he went over the non-perfect functional motorcycle. It has been running fantastic for the last 3 years and after just getting off the phone with them I wanted to make sure everyone knew about their services before, during and AFTER the install. We had our solar installed in 2023 by Zack and his team. I found them through Yelp and from the first phone call with them I knew who was doing my install. We have a 2019 Riverstone fifth wheel and Zack helped me properly size the system based on how we would be traveling to ensure we didn't go over or under our expectations and stayed within our budget. We went with 2400 watts solar, 1080 Ah of batteries, and dual Victron multiplus inverters and it does everything we need it to We are full time in our RV and this has given us a lot more freedom where and how we stay. They are a Harvest Host so we were able to stay on site in the trailer, Zack worked with me on location of the components, made great recommendations and we wound up with a great & professional install.in just a few days. Since 2023 I have had a couple opportunities where I needed to talk to Zack about a hook up at an RV campground or a some small issue/question, each time he was responsive, extremely helpful and never made me feel I was a nuisance or bothering him. Sandy Vans to the Rescue!…read more So... my original awning decided to pick a fight with the wind. The wind won. Turns out my Exclusive Outfitters-built Sprinter van had a VERY heavy electric Dometic awning supported by only TWO mounting brackets. And just to make things more interesting, those brackets were attached with riv-nuts drilled into the corner of my roof--which also happens to be a pop-top. I'm no engineer, but a giant heavy awning + two brackets + a pop-top roof apparently wasn't the winning combination we all hoped for. Enter Sandy Vans. I live in San Diego and needed a replacement awning ASAP because we're leaving for Utah in a couple of days. I contacted Sandy Vans and had an awesome experience from the very beginning. I spoke with Cindy two days in a row, and she was fantastic--super helpful, courteous, patient, and accommodating. When I came in to pick up the awning, if she didn't know the answer to one of my questions, she didn't just shrug and send me on my way. She immediately found someone who did. That kind of customer service goes a long way. Then came Braden. Also extremely helpful and accommodating. He handled my purchase and even gave me his cell number so I could text him if I decided to install the awning myself and needed some technical support. He did briefly mistake my Sprinter for a Ford Transit... I'll forgive him. My van has a pop-top, so it doesn't look like the 9-foot-tall Sprinter skyscrapers that make up about 90% of camper vans these days. Then Brian came out from the shop and actually took the time to look over my van and roof rack to figure out how I could mount the new awning. He gave me several ideas, explained different options, and made the whole project seem doable. Sandy Vans offered to install it, but apparently I enjoy making my life more difficult, so I decided to tackle the installation myself with a good friend. About 2.5 hours, some cutting, grinding, a few choice words directed at the old mounting brackets, and probably a questionable amount of confidence later... NEW AWNING INSTALLED! What impressed me most about Sandy Vans was that they were helpful even after realizing I might not be paying them to do the installation. They still took the time to answer questions, look at my setup, offer advice, and make themselves available if I ran into problems. That says a lot about a business. I highly recommend Sandy Vans for their customer service, knowledge, courtesy, availability, and willingness to actually help their customers. Cindy, Braden, and Brian were all great to deal with. I finally got around to reaching out to Sandy Vans to see about getting a replacement and was told that "this item is outside of their return window" (which is 30 days) but they could offer me $50 off towards a new $200 bug screen.. which seems silly considering the first one fell apart. I'm not sure about their other products, but the bug screens are garbage! I declined their pitiful offer of $50 off a new one and told them I'd purchase from a company with a more durable product. We decided to completely remove the old Norcold piece of junk and replace it with a residential refrigerator. This is perfect for my situation as the 5th wheel setup as a retreat on our property with full hookups. Jim even knew the exact refrigerator to have me purchase and install. Jim came back on Monday morning and went to work. A few hours later the problem is solved even better than I could have hoped. This residential refrigerator has way more usable space in a much smaller footprint. I added a shelf unit to the gap from the old fridge and moved my nugget ice maker and air fryer.
