It seemed excessive but I said ok. He took out the pin that held band together and said "This is what happens when you try to change your own battery, why would you change your own battery?" In an insulting and arrogant voice. I explained that I took to Cousins, where I'd been going for 30 years. He tried it for 10 seconds, said he couldn't fix it. He handed me back the watch, without the pin, band still unattached and said nope. It was a cheap watch for 5 years service at HPE, so I just dumped it in the trash and left. The guy has no customer skills, doesn't know squat about fixing watches and was a complete dick! Do not go to this dump!

There's a lot to improve…read morethough: 1) Be nice to people in general - The owner's (Imran) attitude towards us was demeaning and full of arrogance which slowly improved till the end when he realized that we were indeed a customer it wouldn't be financially wise to lose. But still he seemed like one of those people who would be nice to certain people and not others. (Looking at other reviews of a specific race being ones that are good) 2) They said jewelry assessment with acid test will cost 85$ on the phone. When we got there he said acid test or not, I'll charge you 80$ regardless. That's quite unprofessional and dishonest, unclear at best. 3) The jewelry we took to him is old jewelry from India (pre 1940s) and high quality. He made us think that it is of lower purity without using any technology, just by eye balling it and with the acid test which also seemed pretty primitive to me. (He scratched the jewelry on a stone that had a hundred scratch marks from before and put a drop of some acid and then give us a number which would usually be 18ct, rarely 22 ct). Mind you this jewelry we have since assessed in multiple other places who use expensive machinery to check the purity and have come up with much higher quality. Generally if you're looking to sell your jewelry, take it somewhere else and you'll get a much better deal. This guy will make it sound like what you have is worth much less than it actually is.
