The attitude the Estimator/Appraiser from Infinity had was horrible. He walks out his office like he's "half-dead" with no emotions. Didn't explain nothing. Why work in the people business if you don't know how to work with people. A perfect example of someone who hates their job. Never again classic auto body. After one mo, very polite Michael Krem promise that car be ready every next week.It took about 3mo to get it done. After complain to lineup plastic bumper M.Krem told that plastic and car(2year old) are bad quality,could not be lined up. New radiator(?) leaked on a second year after the classic's repairment. Changing radiator reveals bad body work performed. Painted bumper also has peeloffs and cracks. Classic body shop was recomended by insurance, work estemated around $ 7000. I would not recommend this shop to anybody. read more

WORST experience ever. This company had our car for over two months and then when we received it back there were many things WRONG!!! They said they replaced things and they did not. They also were very good at making stories, every time we would call to find out what the status was Michael gave a different story. Not too long ago my BMW was rear ended at a red light. Since the car ws still driveable, I brought my car in on my way to work. Upon arrival, I had a driver from Enterprise waiting for me to take me to the rental car that Michael arranged. I was in and out really quickly and got to work on time even though I notified them I would be late. Once they started to inspect the damage, they discovered that the damage was much more serious then it looked. The work was completed quickly based on the sevarity of the damages. Through out the process, I received numerous phone call to update me on the staus. At one point I even stopped by to view the progress of the work. I was very pleased with the qualily and the timing of the work. I will definately use Classics again on my future rapairs. read more

This place is terrific, and that's coming from a customer who is very hard to please. Recently, I was involved in an accident and took it to these guys. Good decision. I was helped by Michael, great guy, even made an exception for me due to my late working schedule and drove down late at night after hours to let me pick up my car when it was done. That's how you run a business. And the car looks like it just rolled off the factory lot, and I couldn't be happier. Most importantly, I felt like I was being consulted more than I was being sold something. Their approach was to give me all the information, not try and hide the ball or swindle me. The estimate was right at where the repair cost ended up. Prior to going to Classics, I had some other cut rate body shop called Kami's tell me that the repair could be done for $800, but intentionally withheld information that there was a 90% chance of interior damage that made the repair much more expensive to fix. In retrospect, their plan was to get me to think they were the cheapest shop, then they could get car apart and only after I was stuck using them, surprise me with the news of the new estimate to trap me and stick me with an insane unexpected bill. Classics' approach was to tell me up front what the repair was going to cost, and tell me the likelihood of interior damage, so I could make a fully informed decision at the outset. It's not easy for a repair shop to operate that way, when everyone is looking to try and save money, but it is the RIGHT way to operate, because customers are given information and are able to make the right decision. Businesses that operate this way should be rewarded. - Very professional staff all around - great customer service - honest repair shop - fair prices - quality workmanship Thanks guys **** I am updating this review because of something that was miscommunicated to me. I used to have five stars here, but I am downgrading my review to three stars. When I went in for the repair, I asked about a screeching noise in my wheels, and told Michael that I suspected it was the brake pad indicator and that they needed replacement. He told me that he would have his brake guy come out and check it out for me. He then told me that the brake guy said my pads "looked brand new" which I told him sounded wrong since the car had 30,000 miles on it. I drove the car like that for another month or two and then the brakes started grinding. I knew it was the pads that had totally worn down so I took it in. They had to replace the rotors as well as the pads, which cost me an extra $400, all because Michael didn't actually have his brake guy come out and check out my car like he promised. I relied on this information, and ultimately caused damage to my car and put myself in a dangerous situation. Don't rely on this place for anything other than body work. They're a specialty shop that is good at what they do, but apparently not good at anything else. read more

I brought my car in to classics for some repairs due to an accident in which the other driver was at fault. It was my first car so it was a very stressful process to go through, from the countless hours having to contact insurance adjusters from the other drivers insurance as well as mine, down to having to deal with car rentals and such, the least stressful part of it all was truly having it repaired at this particular body shop. Every person here was so welcoming and genuinely wanted to help me make this the least stressful experience for me. The receptionists where wonderful. They had to deal with my persistent annoying phone calls, and I'm known as the crazy Kia Soul girl probably, but they were always so kind, and Miguel truly worked with me from beginning to end to get me my car back as fast as possible with it looking good as new! I'm extremely satisfied with this body shop, and I thank each and every one of them! read more

I'm upgrading my initial review, as I did get my car back soon after posting my initial negative review. They covered a portion of my car rental for the delay and fixed my cracked side-mirror for free. The car came back looking like new, and I've been driving it for several months without issue. After a minor accident I was sent to Classics Auto Body by the other driver's insurance for an estimate. I decided to go ahead and have the repairs done there, as I was told it would be easier for them to approve any adjustments in the cost as they work directly with the insurance company. They initially told me I'd have my car back in 10 days. It was not ready in ten days. Every time they set a delivery date, I have to call to check up on it and they tell me it'll be another 2-4 days. They constantly seem to be finding additional damage, and it sounds like they've dismantled my car entirely, for what was a minor impact and appeared to be minor damage. Several of these calls and one month later, I still don't have my car back. The latest promise what that it would be ready last Friday or today (Monday). I still hadn't heard from them today, so I called and now they claim my oil pan is cracked and it will be another couple of days. My car was definitely not leaking oil when I dropped it off. I will update about the quality of repairs if and when I get it back, but so far the service has been unacceptable. They need to give customers accurate timelines, not extend the job two days at a time for weeks on end. read more

Just a month into a new lease, my car was rear-ended at a stoplight off Olympic Boulevard. I received a rather high estimate for repairing the bumper at one location and was subsequently recommended to take my car to Classics Auto Body on W. Pico Blvd. Not only did they finish repairing my car in less time than they had originally estimated, and for lower than the other estimate, but over the two days they had it in their possession, Michael called each day to give me an update on its status, always getting my voicemail, yet leaving detailed and pleasant messages. When I called to ask if I could pick up the car a few hours earlier the day it was completed, they had it ready to go when I arrived. They did a remarkable repair job, as well. They will take your car for joyrides, personal errands and certain nefarious activities. When I picked up my convertible, the repair was beyond shabby. But the real fun began when I started the car! The station was set to a Mexican music channel at a BLARING volume, the gas tank was empty (full when I left it), there were cigarettes in the ashtray and the odometer had an additional 120 miles! The owner vehemently denied any wrongdoing regardless of the blatant physical proof and told me to leave. How are they still open? read more

This is the second time I have brought a car in for repair after it was hit. They have done a terrific job both times. This repair shop knows I want my car back ASAP and both times the damage was evaluated promptly. Within 24 hours a report was sent to my insurer. I was given a due date when my car would be repaired and the car was delivered to me on time. As promised. The damage had been extensive yet my car looked new when I got it back. It has been running smoothly without any problems for weeks now. I was reassuringly told to bring it back if there was any problem at all that I detected and Classics Auto Body would take care of the problem immediately at no further cost. I have a small business with employees so I pay attention to service details. The front desk people are friendly, experienced and professional. As for the repair work - I can't tell that I had any accident at all looking at the engine compartment and body work. Clearly they have careful repairmen who are well supervised. My new Dodge Ram 1500 was rear ended recently, and I had used Classics before 4 years ago, so I took it to them for repair. I was treated like a VIP, with great service and communicaion. Michael, the owner, walked me through all my options and detailed exactly what was going to be done, and how long it would take. I recently had to have my rear windshield seal replaced and my insurance broker recommended Classics. Michael was very helpful and friendly on the phone getting things scheduled. I couldn't come in until a week after we first spoke, but he was flexible and worked with me to get the seal replaced before work today. I had a really strong experience with the people at Classics this past week. Now nobody likes going to the Auto Body shop because that means your vehicle got messed up and there are subsequent inconveniences that result because of it, but for me it was as easy a process as it could have been. I dropped the car off and was told within 10 days that the bumper would be fixed. I honestly thought it would be 2 weeks just because they had to order parts and you can never know how long that process takes. But amazingly I got my car back within 7 days in perfect condition. I received consistent updates in that 7 day period notifying me what the issues were and what the estimated time of completion would be. That was great, it kept me out of the dark and comforted me knowing that I was a priority. They made it so easy on me, I barely had to lift a finger. The work on the car speaks for itself, but I really appreciated the customer service I received more than anything. read more

Some of the other reviews talk about how long it takes to get your car fixed but that was not my experience. I got my car back in 5 days. This is the shop my insurance company had me use for the estimate (though i didn't have to get it fixed there). I thought the price was reasonable, particularly because I asked them to fix something outside the damage from the original estimate. It was my front fender and I had gotten two estimates last year, both around $400. Classic fixed it for $100. Michael was very pleasant to deal with (and so was everyone else). I had the unfortunate experience of having my car door hit while it was parked on the street in Santa Monica. My insurance referred me to Classics Auto Body on Pico. I brought it in for an initial estimate. Michael took my information, set it up with my insurance and few days later, I brought it in. It was finished within the week, which I was very happy about. I was referred to Classics Auto Body by the insurance company of the person who rear-ended me. They were conveniently located, especially because of the Enterprise Rental Car around the corner. Everyone was neat in appearance, polite and communicated clearly. I never waited very long for attention, even after being there several times in order to facilitate the major repair of rear-end damage to the body, bumper, paint and chassis. The result is spectacular and they even did little extras for me through their own initiative. I had to take my car in for a small dent in the rear bumper. and when I came back to pick up the car not only was the rear bumper fixed but they also fixed (at no charge) my front bumper that had some major damage to it. This place is fantastic. I've been here twice - once for an issue with my AC that I went through my insurance for (which is how I found out about the place) and again just recently to have my side mirror replaced. The issue with my AC took a couple days to repair but I was able to go in the same day I filed my claim and got my car back within two days and everything was perfect. They were super accommodating when I took it back the other day for my side mirror - I didn't want to go through my insurance company to get a rental while it was being repaired since the car was still driveable (my deductible would have been more than the cost of the repairs and I didn't want my premium to go up for something stupid like clipping a garbage can on a side street) and they were able to order the parts I needed so I could come back the next day for the repairs. He called me early in the morning to come back in and within 20 minutes my mirror was good as new. And it was significantly cheaper than taking my car to the dealership for repairs. I had some severe scratches on the hood of my car (vandalism). Classics Auto Body was on my insurance company's "preferred" list. While I know I can take my car anywhere, based on other Yelp reviews, I gave it a shot. I think the key is dealing with Michael, the owner/manager. (Ask for him if you go there.) He did the initial inspection, we then set up an appointment, I took my car in, and it was ready as promised. Michael called along the way to keep me informed. The job took five days which surprised me, but Michael explained that to properly match paint, it is a tedious process. The wait was worth it. The paint matches perfectly, or at least to my eye. No way can I tell that the entire hood was repainted; it looks as good as new. I can't speak to the shop's body work, because that wasn't my issue. But if I were to be in an accident, I wouldn't hesitate taking the car to Michael. read more
