I cannot recommend Classy & Classic Car Wash enough. I came in after a long road trip with kids, and my car was already overdue for a deep clean when my son got sick in the back seat. It was bad. Angelica was incredibly kind, calm, and reassuring from the moment I walked in. She took care of everything right away and made the whole situation feel easy and stress free. A few hours later I picked up the car and honestly could not believe it was the same vehicle. Absolutely spotless, inside and out, and it smelled fresh without being overpowering. The quality of the work was outstanding, the price was very fair, and the customer service was truly exceptional. This is clearly a small, independent business that takes real pride in what they do. The staff was kind; the lady had a charming aura, and my car looked better than before--exactly what I'd expect for the $40-$50 fee I was initially quoted. However, I was genuinely confused when the man who cleaned the car told me that while there was an extra fee for dog hair, they would void it. He then claimed it was cash only, even though I had used Zelle and Venmo there previously. Since I didn't have cash, I had to go to an ATM. He walked with me, and when I asked for the total again at the store, he said $50. I withdrew $80 just in case and gave him $60 (which included a $10 tip). He checked the money and then claimed the 'voided' dog hair fee was actually missing and demanded another $20. I didn't have the energy to argue, so I just gave it to him. But as I sat in my car before driving off, I realized the dashboard looked like a $50 service--not the $80 service I ended up paying for. read more

I asked if they had prices listed anywhere and they said no. Two workers begin arguing about charging me more or not. I told them I was leaving if they wanted to raise the price from what they quoted me. As they debated I left and went to a neighboring car wash that is way more professional and does inside and outside carwashes starting at $42. read more

I lived in LA for nearly 10 years. You can get a THOROUGH interior/exterior wash, tires greased and all for $12-15. Moving back home I realized EVERYTHING costs more here, and now that I'm older and accustomed to that good ol thorough wash, a gas station drive-thru only does but so much. With that said, this place is super super pricey, but I will return and gladly pay it every time! It's a luxury service in my budget, so I don't go every 1-2 weeks like I did in LA (yes, I DO drive through @ the gas station in between these washes). Great work. I feel safe and loved when I'm there (it's a rare part of Oakland that still feels like home). Relatively quick each time I go (~30 minutes, versus the 45-HOUR I'd wait at a good place in LA). Consistent. This Saturday I canceled my pedicure and instead opted for this wash as my "self-care." I legit felt better. TLDR; Best car wash I've had in Oakland, great prices too. Pulled up on a Friday afternoon, Kendrick greets me as soon as I roll my window down and directs me where to go. A younger guy starts washing my car like 45 seconds later. That's what I'm talking about! I'm quoted a VERY reasonable price for an inside and out. Side note: I didn't have the time, but the price for a FULL detail with wax, clay bar, interior shampoo was 50 to 100 bucks less than other spots in town. Told it'll be half an hour. It wasn't half an hour, but I couldn't care less because the whole time, I'm watching that kid GET DOWN on my filthy, grimy @$$ car, watching him check all the angles to see if he missed a spot, getting all up in my hard-to-clean rims. The entire wait went by super quick, plenty of chairs to pick from in the shade or not, a dude grilling, and anyone who wasn't washing a car was down to chop it up and hang out with a guy they've never met before. Could've fooled me, felt like I was at an old friend's backyard cookout. All said and done, I almost doubled the price by tip because it was the best wash I've had in years. These guys are pros, home grown and family owned and operated. I found my new car wash spot and I couldn't be happier. read more

The guy was cool dude but the quality of service I received was below zero. He was alone I will give him that. I waited two hours to just have my inside cleaned and wiped down and he asked for 30.00 just for the inside. I did it because I had a car that needed a good wipe down and vacuum out. I saw him dude this guy car inside and he took about a hour. I mean took his time to really clean this guys car. In my head I'm like ok I'm going to wait it out because he about to do that same service in my car. YO not at all. He took 25 mins max with my car and because it was getting late I thought he did a good job. The is morning I looked at my car and I was so disappointed. To the point I had to do my own detail to my car. I wasted 35 because I gave this guy a tip thinking he really had my inside car cleaned and wiped down. NEVER AGAIN. Either I was ripped off or they charging wayyyy to much for a detail. Sad part is that the service was not the same for the inside detail that he did for the guy and that sucks. You got my money this time but I will never tell anyone to come to this place. Ten years ago or more this place had some good detailing guys who took pride in their work. Detailer took pride in that one guy car and that was it. At least that guy can be happy with his detailing. He slathered everything up for you inside and out. I came to Classy and Classic to get my SUV cleaned, both interior and exterior. The guy worked on it for about 1.5 hours and seemed to have been working really hard so I gave him a big tip when he finished. However the interior was left wet and sticky in some spots (review mirror, door handles, console) and there was still dirt and dog hair everywhere. The exterior was left pretty clean but overall the car wash was disappointing and I won't be coming back again. read more

I'm going to keep this short and (not) sweet. I think my car was dirtier when I left than when I brought it in. There was wet dirt left all over my interior and on the steering wheel, the inside of the windshield had spots all over it, and the service was very unprofessional. I brought two cars in to get cleaned at once. One of the guys was enthusiastic, but still didn't do a great job. The other guy showed no interest in cleaning the car, and clearly wasn't paying attention to his job. There were dirt spots left all over the exterior and his interior cleaning was essentially non-existent as well. I even heard one of the older guys there yell at him because apparently he was moving the vehicles despite not having his license. It was just overall an uncomfortable experience, and this place costs more than the other places around downtown Oakland that are significantly better. read more

Alex did an amazing job on my Subaru Outback hatch back! I am thrilled with the final result. He was so thorough washing the exterior, tires and top of my car. No nook or cranny went unnoticed. He cleaned the leather with soap and water and vacuumed, including the sandy car seat that I could not get out. He even took out the mat in the back of the car, hoses it down etc. My car sparkles and all for $45, and I paid an additional $10 tip. This was SO MUCH better than Touchless Carwash in Berkeley. This was the SINGLE best car wash and detail I've ever had. The car brilliantly clean, wax looks great, applied tire shine, and did the whole kit. The price is stellar at 125$ for my small sedan and he did all the same things places like Classic Car Wash charge 50-100$ alone! I will be going back every time I get my car washed. read more

It may not look it at first glance, but these guys do a thorough cleaning. Family owned and operated since the 70s. Cleanings can take up to an 1 hour (thorough) so I recommend bringing book to read as there is not much to do in the area. Competitively priced, cash only. read more

I moved across the country and am a fully-remote marketer, so my car is a piece of crap 98% of the time. Covered in dog hair from my adorable 60-lb pup, empty La Croixs in it like an addict, AND YET Classy and Classic did an amazing job cleaning out my car!! They charged me $35 (plus the $5 tip I gave) and this is the cleanest my car has ever looked. The whole thing took about an hour, so bring a book or your latest episode of something on your phone.
