I have a black car so detail is a MUST for my ride. If you have a black car, then you KNOW what I'm talking about... any water spot or dust can be easily seen and there's no point in getting it detailed or washed if it's not going to be done correctly. The young men who washed my car paid attention to their work and before my car was released to me, the owner did a visual inspection, caught a missed spot, and had it fixed. I won't do business with unethical people. A regular wash is $40. When it came time to pay, he told me it was $57.13 with tax, which didn't seem right, but ok. Nope, I was cheated. I looked it up and California sales tax is charged on goods, not services -- thank God for the internet! -Even if - sales tax was to be charged, and it's not, and even if I took the highest tax rate possible, 10.25% combined for state, county, and city tax rate the amount I should have been charged is $44.10, so yeah fraudulent billing. An hr from the start time my (very small compact) car still hadn't been finished, so I inquired about an anticipated time frame, i was told it was "almost done". 15 mins later i get my keys back and leave because i was now late for something else. They wash your car by hand. There were 3 guys running the car wash (1 guy washed my car from start to finish). They take their time washing your car.
