My experience with this company was very disappointing. The woman who designed my closet and came out to give the estimate was very nice and had great communication throughout the design process, which made the later issues even more confusing and frustrating. The scheduling made little sense. The demolition was done on a Friday, but installation did not take place until Monday, leaving my entire wardrobe piled on my guest bed for the entire weekend. On top of that, the person who removed the old closet left a large mess in my bedroom. On installation day, the installers themselves were very nice and did solid work. However, there were major issues with the final product. Both center doors were not installed because the holes were supposedly drilled on the wrong side, and the doors were also the wrong measurements. Additionally, one of the hanging racks was completely forgotten. The installers didn't leave until around 7 p.m. on a Monday night. Before leaving, they told us that the company would be calling to schedule another installation date for the missing doors, which they said could take about a week or more. At this point, the lack of coordination and quality control has been extremely frustrating. read more

I can't say enough good things about Kat from Classy Closets! She's amazing at what she does. From the first time we met, I was impressed at her skill at listening and understanding what I needed. Over the past year, she's helped me tackle ALL FIVE closets in my house, and they look fantastic now! Kat has this unqiue way with numbers and design. When we were in the measuring phase, I couldn't always visualize the final outcome in my head, but I trusted that she understood my vision and needs. The final designs that she would get back to me with blew me away EVERY TIME. She's incredibly patient and really listens to what I wanted/needed. Her calm presence made everything so much easier, especially when I was feeling lost about where to start. What I love most about her is how I can brainstorm with her without feeling dumb. No idea is too crazy for her, and she never made me feel guilt or shame about having a messy closet. I would bounce ideas off of her, we would visualize how the space would be used together and I relied on her experience alot in making decisions. First off, DO NOT BELIEVE any rebuttal by CC. I am honestly and factually reviewing my experience. I eventually got what I paid for, but only because I had to personally manage, at times, their office, most certainly the designer, and definitely, the installation team(s). Yes, plural. I'll explain. Save yourself. Please take the time to read the entire review. I was thrilled to finally wash my hands of them. The designer (Corrine) that came to my home with 5+ years of experience struggled through the entire process in the laundry room and master bedroom closet. Their website says "Expertise you can trust." She took measurements in a small laundry room that required precise dimensions so the washer, dryer, small wine cooler and apartment size freezer would fit in the locations of my choosing. I also requested shelving to be 8.5" and 16" apart so plastic storage bins 7.75" and 14.25" would easily fit. I demonstrated my needs using the exact bins I was intending to use. I had to continuously correct her when she incorrectly measured heights and widths, the locations of spacers and how they were to include mouse-holes for feeding electrical cords and the dryer hose. The first set of drawings I received were so incorrect that I could not explain all the errors on a phone call. One glaring example was that the lowest shelf was not high enough off the ground so the freezer could be slid underneath (I gave her the operating manual for the freezer with dimensions during her initial visit so there would be no question.) She came back to the house and I had to once again explain to her how the drawings were wrong. She struggled to understand. The next set of drawings were better but still had errors. Somehow she managed to measure the vertical shelf supports as though they were resting on tile instead of the concrete subfloor; making them 0.75" too short. There was an extra support included and a couple other inconsistencies. During the initial installation, the workmen used a combination of the first and second versions of the drawings. I did not monitor them because I was confident in what Corrine and CC promised me. Silly me. What a mistake. After the installation, I attempted to put my plastic bins on the shelves. The top shelf was 2" too short because they insisted a 6" header was required for the shelving. Corrine assured me my bins would fit. Their website says, "Custom Designed to Fit Your Space" and phrases such as: custom cabinetry, custom garage storage solutions and custom-designed kitchen and bath solutions. This is far from the truth. Corrine came back to my home and I explained to her all the different ways the installation was inconsistent with the drawing. It was as though the installers were adlibbing. Her response was one that lead me to believe she was not at all surprised. Like it happens all the time. We discussed the laundry/pantry a third time and she agreed to tear out 85% of the work and have a team come out to do another install. I asked her to be there to monitor the installation so they followed the drawings and did precisely what I paid for. She agreed, but did not actually come out on installation day. She told me I could watch them. CC is full of excuses. I had to hover over the installers for 7 hours to make sure they did what I wanted and what the drawing said. At the end of the day, the shelves where properly located, the appliances fit correctly and the mandatory 6" header was only 2.75" wide; not the mandatory 6". The next week, after taking a breath, I realized the installers did one thing successfully that I had overlooked. They pinned the wash machine drain hose, the hot water feed line, the cold water feed line and the electrical cord between the back of the shelf and the wall making it impossible for a plumber to slide the wash machine out from under the shelf without having to cut all the feed lines or chopping a huge hole through the top of the shelf to free them. Classy Closets is a joke from stem to stern. Later that week I ordered an extra 33.5" x 23.5" shelf. The receipt says "1 WINTER WHITE SHELF 33.50 X 23.50 EXACT - CUSTOMER'S MEASUREMENTS. I took a tape measure to the store when I picked it up and the width of the shelf was 33 9/16" - 1 sixteenth of an inch too wide. Based on the look of disappointment on my face, the woman at the store asked me what was the matter. I explained to her what I ordered and what they had delivered. I told her this sums up my experience with Classy Closets. On my way home I realized they are so incompetent, even one shelf is beyond them. P.S. I could write another novella about the master bedroom closet, but I won't. Avoid this company. read more

Do not buy these closets. They are the absolute cheapest quality (particle board) and are ridiculously priced. I had my closets installed about 3 to 3.5 years ago. Part of the closet has already fallen off the wall because of how little structural integrity was incorporated into the install, including the use of only finishing nails used to secure everything. Because this was a renovated historic home, the walls aren't plumb and so the solution was to add a ridiculous amount of caulking. Just find a general contractor to build you a custom closet. It'll save you a ton of money and the build quality will be far superior. read more

Basically, terrible follow-up and service.. closet is just ok, deck came out pretty nice. Design session went pretty well. To install our closet and a desk in a smaller bedroom closet, there was some demo work that needed to be done. What we didn't understand was the extent of the damage that would be created. We should have had some conversation about doing the demo, then repair, then installation... To repair the damage will take retexturing the walls and painting. Since the new closet is in place, the work will take a lot of time to tape off everything - not to mention that we will need to basically empty the closet again! While the closet is more organized, I feel we actually lost space! Our biggest issue is the lack of follow-up... I reached out in email for the issues and a few things that needed to be fixed. Other than reaching out to a customer service rep (that we later had to track down ourselves) we have not heard from the designed. Once they had their money, they were gone. They did eventually send someone who made the necessary adjustments we needed - and he was really good! If it wasn't for him, this likely would have been a 1 star rating! If we had known all of this, the poor level of service and follow-up, we would have looked elsewhere. We have had this type of work done in the past and have always been thrilled! The bottom line is that it will cost us at least another $1,000 to repair the damage. read more

Had the DisPleasure to meet Dave Whipple. He came by for a what was supposed to be a design quote. It felt like since i wasnt in North Scottsdale he didn't want to help me. He looked at the closet space said "3grand and when i was serious and ready he would design something for me".... And was gone.all within 5 minutes... 3k is waaaay higher than any other quote i got with other companies. I felt like he didn't care to help or want to be there. This review is for the installers who did the closet installation. My previous review (I can't find) was for the designer who was terrible, but is now no longer there. Hooray! The installer called me to say they were on their way and would arrive in 30 minutes. They arrived at that time, he brought 2 helpers who he Introduced, they set up and got to work. The main installer was training a new hire. He was amazing! What a good trainer! I was impressed with his patience and how clearly he explained the process to his co-worker. I told him of my bad experience up to that point with Classy Closets, but he sure made up for it! The time it took from my signing the contract to the actual install was less than 4 weeks, so I was happy about that. My closets look fantastic! They did a fabulous job of the installation and I couldn't be happier. He was polite, professional, and thorough. I choose Classy Closets for this project because of the price. They had a promotional price of $849 on the one closet. It is a lifesaver! My master closet is now ripped out and it will be 3 more months before it will be installed. Meanwhile, I can use the guest room closet. All in all, the installers made up for the horrible design experience, but since she is gone, it no longer is applicable, Very long wait times can still be expected for the most part. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. I got quotes from 3 other companies and this interaction was the worst. The design and planning part was not as easy as it was with other companies. The designer came out to take measurements and noted everything on paper and told me if I want to see the design I have to make an appointment to go to their center, this was very inconvenient as I had to take time out to just see what design she had come up. Others just designed on the spot and gave me a quick quote. The company doesnt send you quotes via email, I got the quote and the design as pictures taken of their computer screen. Then theres the issue with pricing-----I called to get a quote for a small kitchen pantry-----went out of the country for 10 days ( was warned prices would go up, I understood)------came back from said out of country trip----called company to get process started and set up install date-----company sent new invoice with price change from previous quote of ~$1500 to new quote of ~$6000!!! In the end was told " I told you prices would change" This is where I have the problem, if prices change due to market fluctuations I understand, but to tell me first the problem was the software and that components didnt get priced in then to tell me that you were warned about price changes.....ummm not the same thing! And in a downward market, I find it very hard to fathom how prices can change from $1500 to $6000. This situation lacks integrity and honesty. I can understand mistake was made but then not my fault, company should stand behind that and ensure to not make that mistake again but don't make your customer pay for it. Try calling other companies before coming here, you will be glad you did. read more

I work in a line of business that first impressions and experiences are everything. I do live my life this way. I was so excited as one of our residents did recommend Classy Closets. But what I got is a designer that obviously did not want to do the job and therefore showed me a lack in professionalism. This may not have been important to you however this was everything to me. If this was something you did not want to commit too all you had to say was no. But that was hardly the case. When I called the store they did ask me to send another rep. I explained that no that will not work because they will not be able to squeeze this project in now that it will be an additional 2 weeks to get someone here. :( read more

We just had built-ins installed by Classy Closets in both our master closet and our garage and we couldn't be happier with the work that was done! To begin with, Christy was our designer and she was an absolutely joy to work with. She was completely open to my ideas but also knew when an idea I had would not work. She did an amazing job making sure that the designs met our needs, our aesthetics, and our budget. Once we had our designs, the company was able to schedule our install much sooner than we had anticipated, which was also wonderful! Jose, Manny, and Coby did a wonderful job with the install - they were pleasant, efficient, clean, and patient with my 3 crazy barking dogs! During her visit she was honest, asked many questions to help us decide on what would work with our master closet, pantry & hall closet space while being conscious of our budget. We had another company come out that was way too expensive & very basic for what we would get, also didn't take the time to listen to our needs like Acacia did. Acacia was quick to get us a quote & got us scheduled right away. When it came to installation day she made sure to check in to see if everything went smooth. We happy with how fast they got the job done, & how it looked we ended up getting our guest bedroom closets done which again came out great. We finally got Classy aligned with the plans for a master closet end of January/early February. Amanda our sales person was amazing. They took about 2 months which was expected. Was able to get a solid install and set date. Super organized. On time, no issues at all. We ended up doing our laundry room! Meanwhile we used a different contractor for something else, Stonecreek Furniture in Tempe to do another remodel. Bad choice that one took 6 months ( I would have used Classy but signed back in Dec 2019). Use Classy for everything next time or just check with them. They should be called Classy Closets and more. We will be back when we compete the master bath and our other office! Professional all the way around. Thank you Classy! You will put out everyone else! Keep it up and keep your customers happy! We went with Classy to remodel our crazy outdated kitchen so it was a no brainer when we needed to redo our master closet. We have a small home with high ceilings and the space was no being utilized in a way that was going to work for our family! We needed the space to function as a closet, extra storage, and an office space for my husband. (again, small house...) I could not be happier about the result! So much space! Everything we needed to fit did with ample space to spare! The design process was awesome and they were able to customize it to our needs including working with my husband so he could incorporate his word working into our space. The good, the bad, and the downright ugly Good: I had the most awesome sales rep. Lisa helped and guided me along the way. She, and Classy Closets, came to me as a referral from my neighbor. She has a great eye for design and color, and I couldn't have been more pleased with her level of talent and dedication. The installation itself was also good. The product is beautiful, and the installers were friendly and efficient. Bad: With the exception of my sales rep, no one gets back to you at this company. I can't speak to whether I would ever have been communicated to if it weren't for her. Frankly, it was my intent to cancel the entire job and go somewhere else. However, I work from home and the installers came before the manager ever got back to me (big surprise) and I was on a conference call, so my husband let them start. What went awry is that I sent an email requesting a change for my installation date. My rep gave me the name and number of the scheduler. I left two (2) messages and I never got my call returned. As a result, I assumed they would be there as originally scheduled so I rearranged my entire day, took the time off work in order to get the install done. Then they were a no-show. I emailed Lisa and she came back to me with a new date and was unaware I had never been informed of the new install date. So now I had to rearrange my entire life again. I requested a discount in which the manager informed me they don't do that and it's against company policy. So, when I asked what they do when they have a dissatisfied customer he indicated they make it right. THEY DIDN'T. Because they already screwed it up. If they had made it right with me this entire review would have gone a different direction. The manager acted as though he had no idea I wasn't communicated with and actually told me at one point he thought I knew the date had changed which was an outright lie since I have the email chain to prove otherwise. Ugly: You would think that would be it. But here's the kicker. I originally had the plan to build a wall of shelves and a murphy bed on my spare room but instead decided on the smaller project of my laundry room cabinets. Once the laundry was done ($5,000) I was planning to have my master closet done ($15,000) and then I was still debating on the spare room ($25,000). In addition, my neighbor wanted to use the same closet company as me for her spare room ($5,000) after I did my research. So, instead of giving me the small $500 discount I asked for, Classy Closets got paid $5,000 and lost well over $45,000 is additional business and every person that I may have recommended to them. Bottom line...have a ton of patience if you decide to use them as they will not care about you, your life or your schedule. And apparently cannot do a simple ROI calculation. I loved my cabinets but would never use them again. Scheduling was a nightmare I don't want to repeat, and I didn't appreciate the way "management" handled the entire situation. If I treated my customers the way they did here, I'd be out of business. read more

We were looking for a master closet remodel and to install a storage system into a den-turned bedroom for our young adult child. We met with a very friendly girl that showed us a lot of options in the showroom and later came to the house where we spent well over an hour discussing a lot of fun things. We looked forward to seeing her designs and moving forward but the shop got rid of her that morning and notified us 30 minutes before our appointment. We thought someone would pick up where she left off but they were completely unprepared for us. We left completely deflated but realized in this experience that we would do other things with the money instead so I gave them a few stars for helping us to rethink the whole idea and therefore save a ton of cash. read more

I worked with Charity to design my closet and garage in our new build. The closet is a decent size but could not hold even half of the stuff I had. She listened to me and understood my needs and my new closet turned out better than I could have imagined. I was worried that it would not help and still not give me the space I needed but I was wrong! I actually have room for things now. It's beautiful and well made. The garage is amazing as well. If only I checked their reviews prior to buying into the professionalism you get in the showroom that doesn't translate to a great result in your home. We had what should have been a relatively easy guest bathroom tub/shower combo conversion to a tile shower. We ended up with huge amounts of leftover tile due to their poor measuring skills, sadly the job took 2x longer than it should have so I couldn't return the excess due to it being two weeks past the return period. A shower conversion that should have taken 2-3 weeks took six weeks. Upon completion we noticed water making its way onto the shower floor. We had them come out to see why it was leaking, they place the blame on the shower head even though there is a huge space between the wall and shower glass. We made multiple. attempts to get them to fix the glass, actually got a "we will send someone out", which never happened, no return call, nothing. We are now going to have it demoed by another company and get a drop in placed in its stead, we are also looking at a $30k master bath remodel but definitely not by classy closets and baths, but its not like the care, there will be others that won't read the reviews and plenty of poor quality showers to be built. They should probably stick with closets because those don't leak if you mess it up. Seriously read the 1 star reviews, they were given for a reason. read more
