i go into this business at least (2)times a week ....today was a BAD experience!Ibrought 2 pairs of shoes to the counter to purchase..a woman approached the cashier and said i could not buy for the price that was marked on the bottom of one of the pairs of shoes..she said it had been mis- marked...i had a business 35 yrs.if i mismarked something that was brought to my cashier thats what we charged them!..MY mistake..a happy customer that will come back!..i wont be back to this store for quite a while!..maybe someday?..this was NOT a happy customer a there are a lot of second hand stores around...JH read more

I have to admit that before I moved to Nevada, I wasn't much of a thrift store shopper. However, I have stopped at many thrift stores in the Carson - Reno area and this store is fantastic. I love the displays. It's the only thrift shop I have ever gone too that does more than hangs cloths on the racks. Every time I walk in they have a different display: weddings, denim day, tea pots, etc. The place is huge with well laid out departments and a large furniture area and a boutique with the designer brands. As a major thrifter who does NOT resell I like their prices and all their daily sales. Two times a week they have half price sales on all their clothing which really helps a working girl look sharp. I have never seen sure a large Christmas collection - it took up much of the store. The staff all seem nice and are willing to help find things if asked. For my money it is the cleanest store in town with the best prices. Plus I like that the money goes to domestic violence. read more

If I am "junking" or "thrifting" this IS THE PLACE TO BE!! My first stop! Why pay retail when all the "labels" are in this store?? Plus, there's a sale EVERY DAY!! Sunday and Wednesday are 1/2 off clothes with a BONUS BASKET day every other Friday. The gals hand you a calendar of sales when you walk in the door. ARE YOU ON FACEBOOK??? They are!! They have secret passwords that get you even better deals on their Facebook days! Save $$ on the trip to Reno or over-the-hill because the BOUTIQUE has the styles and the labels!! You can be a bride, a prom queen, or just a chic Nevadan with their clothes!! Kids moving out?? No worry, there is a great selection of furniture or housewares ( I don't have to have Pampered Chef parties - I find it all right here!) And if you're in the mood for seasonal decor - they pull out all the stops for every holiday - Christmas is insane!!! This thrift store is the nicest in the area. They have great deals especially on Wednesdays half-off clothing day. The prices are also the cheapest in comparison to all the other thrift stores in the area. The staff members are all very helpful when you are looking for something in particular. I love shopping at this thrift store and I recommend it to everyone especially for those who are interested in dressing for proper job presentation as they have a huge area in the back that is full of name-brand clothing for a great deal. read more

I love this Thrift Store...it has been one of my fave stores for years! I make a little extra money selling on Ebay to provide extra income for our family during these tough times and Classy's has always provided me with excellent fun vintage clothing at cheap prices...I so can make a profit at the prices Classy sells their items for. They have minks, vintage wedding dresses, vintage mod clothing and lots and lots of fun vintage purses! It's truly wonderful to shop here and I can spend hours in this store. It's bright and clean and I don't have sale's people breathing down my neck...it's a very casual and fun experience each time I do my shopping....Thanks Classy Seconds...you have been a joy to shop.....oh...and all the $$ goes to a worthy organization right here in our own community....Advocates to End Domestic Violence! read more

Very nice thrift store. I found Corning Ware items, clean and in excellent condition, for considerably less than thrift stores in my area. The employees were very pleasant. My only issue was I ran out of time and was not through looking at everything. Definitely will visit again on my next trip to Carson. read more

I really enjoy Classy Seconds. I am not much a fan of thrift stores, they can be very well unkempt, and this one is one that doesn't make me feel like I need a shower after leaving. They have a great Facebook page, so I always know when they have new good stuff, which is helpful. I like also that they have a calendar featuring their sales and specials which is helpful when planning any shopping. The prices are reasonable and I feel like I am getting a good deal. I especially love the boutique, an area completely dedicated to designer fashions. I have gotten Banana Republic here, DKNY, Abercrombie, Ann Taylor, a lot of times with tags still on. The staff is very friendly, and eager to help. My absolute favorite thing however, is that all the store proceeds from the store go to Advocates to End Domestic Violence. A local non-profit that benefits women in our community that have been victims of domestic violence. I think it is great when you can shop and support a great cause all in one. read more

I love this place!! I first visited Classy Seconds about three years ago, when I lived in Carson and the store had just opened. I loved how cheap everything was! After relocating to Reno, I stopped by the store this past fall and could not BELIEVE what they had done with the place! Before, it was an adorable, well-priced consignment shop with a variety of different things. Now, this place is amazing! Not only have they kept the same prices and price ranges since the first time I went (always a plus), their inventory has just about quadrupled! There is such an amazing variety, especially of homewares. Here, I purchased my rice cooker, enough dishes to fill all of my cabinets, pots, pans, kitchen utensils galore and an awesome extensive DVD collection! If I need something for the kitchen or the house, it is always worth it to check here first, and I will migrate from Reno all the way to north Carson JUST to visit Classy Seconds! They also typically have a great selection of scrubs and vintage clothing. I heart this place and I hope to goodness it never closes! read more
