The breakfast potatoes were soft yet firm with delicious little crispy bits hidden throughout. My wife's Crabmeat Omelette was good. The crabmeat wasn't overly fishy and the omelette was fluffy. It just needed something extra to take it over the top, like fresh green onions or chives. This place was great. Everything from the service, the food and the atmosphere was above and beyond. I liked the fact that there were appetizer options that you could as a half order, as many times the appetizers are so large that once you're finished, you have no room for your meal. I would say it's very "Instagram worthy", but that seems it's all that's offered. We did not have a reservation but were sat immediately. My friend ordered the shrimp and grits which was far too heavy for her and seemed more like a soup. We also ordered coffee that was too sweet for our liking. However, for the price versus quality, it is not somewhere I would likely choose to stay again. The beautiful rooms are gilded, with your standard problems found in other not as nice hotels. The faucets and shower heads are not cleaned with toothpaste and soaps still affixed to them. The historic looking bathroom door is missing part of the original fixtures so you have a peephole into the sanctum. The minifridge is even more mini than normal. Despite two beds there was only one seat at of one bed. Nitpicks, but odd.
