Location isn't accepting online orders.

This location does not even want your business. This is a place where the employees hope no one shows up. We arrive at 7:40 pm only to find a note on the door saying they are reopening at 8 pm. So we spend 15 minutes inputting our order online only to receive a message saying they are not taking online orders. There are two employees inside and when we got one to come to the door they were very rude. Why even have a business if this is the deal? Just close the place down and be done with it.

March 29, 2023 Craving a sandwich and cinnabon; so I stopped and got both. I got a deluxe original (more meat) and a cinnamon roll Both were really good!

There is a sign that says they can refuse service. No reason to refuse.

This was the worst service ever. The restaurant is filthy. I accidentally ordered a half of a sandwich. When it came out I noticed it and asked to buy the other half of the sandwich. He said we don't sell them that way. They literally just sold me a half. I then asked for a whole sandwich to purchase. He told me to keep my money. He wouldn't place the other order. There is a sign that says they are short staffed. This is probably why. Nobody wants to work with the guy. He was terrible.

So called Greek salad....... It's a garden salad.

The sandwiches were absolutely delicious. I was also very impressed that they prepared the gluten-free sandwiches in separate containers from the rest of the order. That extra level of care really stood out. I highly recommend Old Moon Deli for anything from a single sandwich to catering for 30 people. They're great.

I ordered the B Major, and unfortunately I didn't enjoy it. My main issue was the meat--it tasted low quality to me, and the texture was off. There was a good amount of it, but overall it just didn't work for me and I ended up not really finishing the sandwich. Based on my order alone, I would rate it around 3 stars. My husband ordered the Reuben and, on the other hand, he really enjoyed his and had no complaints, which is part of why I've given a slightly higher overall rating. The service and atmosphere were fine, but based on my experience with the food, I personally wouldn't return. There are just too many other places on our list to try, and this one didn't stand out enough for me to revisit. review edit- response to establishment- I didn't bring my concerns to anyone's attention at the time because this was a to-go order, and I ate it in the car after leaving. I feel that a 4-star review is more than fair based on my personal experience. My comments were simply honest feedback about what I ordered and are intended to reflect my individual experience.

This is a pretty eclectic place that fits in well here in Galveston. During Spring Break, they…read morewere a little busier during the weekday than normal. Lots of good options on the menu, and I was craving their famous cinnamon roll pancakes, but then a server brought out migas to a table and I immediately knew I wanted that instead. Here, it's a little opposite from most places, you gotta pick your seat first then order as the seats, especially the tables, are hard to come by at times. There are plenty stools along the window but the tables are better and most tables are family style so you'll likely be meeting someone new. I also added a chocolate bread pudding for myself which looked really good. The rest of my group ordered the granny's breakfast with sausage, 2 scrambled eggs and Benny's tostadas. The food comes out surprisingly quick for as busy as they are. Everything was so delicious! I ate a little of the bread pudding at the restaurant, then eventually ate the rest over the course of the next few hours. Yum! This restaurant is highly recommended!

After you finally order you get to try and find one of their dirty tables to sit at then wait way too long for terrible food. The food could not be more terrible, this is what they call biscuits and gravy and it tasted as bad as it looks, I think the best way to describe the color of the gravy is orange, which is weird. I had one bite of the biscuit and gravy and it was so bad that the stray cat that jumped on our table did not even want it, but it could have also been because of all the flies because the little fly fan at our table did not work but it also might have been from the constant smell from the sewer drain located right in the seating area. My wife had a chicken bagel egg sandwich- not good....all our food went in the trash. This is not a restaurant it is a disaster, do not believe the positive reviews.

Cutting across Texas to New Orleans, I knew we would be skimming the shore of the Gulf of Mexico…read more Shut up. My review, I can call it what I want. That being said, it had been some time since I've gotten some proper fish-n-chips. I had to remedy that. Especially since the BBQ fiasco the other day, I was going to go on a hunger strike, but once I made the sign, I got potato chip fingers on it and started to eat it. So, I decided to fight fire with fire, and figured I would eat myself happy again. Which I'm never mad about. Sometimes I make myself angry just so I can eat myself happy. And now, the rest of the story. I have learned that I enjoy Cod fish for my fish-n-chips. And I think also Haddock. I am not a fisher nor a fish. So it's hard for me to say. But I know Cod is one for sure. I also sometimes have baby mouth and am afraid of new things. I do know I love my fish battered and deep fried. I also know that Shark Shack had good reviews for their fish, so, that was all I needed to hear. Plus, it was a perfect little eatery with bar seating, table seating, and gifts! So you can bet your bottom dollar tomorrow I ordered the English fish-n-chips. Boy oh boy. Just like how Britain colonized all those countries back when it was the cool thing to do, these fish and chips colonized my taste buds. Respectfully. This plate came with FIVE logs of fish. FIVE! Maybe they were tubes of fish? Honestly, I don't care what shape they came in, they looked perfectly crunchy and perfectly brown and perfectly fish. The super cool extra bonus? These fish came with CRISPIES! I've only ever seen crisps with fish from Long John Silvers, whose fish is probably as far from Cod or Haddock as legally possible. I actually think one of my pieces of fish from there had shoelaces. Didn't matter. Still ate it. Respectfully. (If you aren't privileged enough to know what fish crispies are, there little batter pieces that fry or fall off the fish as they cook. Basically little crumblies. If you make a wish over a fork of them and get the forkful in your mouth without dropping any, your wish will come true). Homemade tartar sauce was good, but there was a certain flavor profile that I wasn't a fan of. It was still good to use on the fish rods, it just tasted a little too much out of the tartar sauce field for me. The meal was wrapped up nice and tight with lovely square-cut fries. Perfect doneness. Perfect Ketchup vessel. I could just stare at a pile of them all night. Mostly because I'm weird. I decided to lean more toward the 4-star side, so here we are. While in Galveston for a quick weekend getaway, we wanted to go out for dinner. Katie's was my first choice, but the wait was too long, so I pulled up Yelp to see what else was recommended. Shark Shack had great reviews, and when we arrived there was zero wait, so we went for it. The one area where I docked a star was the service. We were seated immediately but waited quite a while for our server to appear, and then even longer to get our drinks. I was so excited for a margarita, but when it arrived in a plastic cup, I was immediately disappointed. Plastic cups are for the beach and nightclubs, not a restaurant with a bar. And that's not where the awful drink experience ended -- it was so weak and just not good at all. Our server seemed so disinterested in everything: taking our order, answering questions, and when it came time to pay, we had to wait ages to see him and wave him down. The food was decent with no major complaints. It wasn't "blow your mind" amazing, but it was good. The owner -- well, I assume he was the owner -- came and spoke to us when he found out my husband was military, and he was really nice, friendly, and very supportive of the military community, offering a very generous military discount. That definitely raises the rating and is much appreciated, so thank you. Overall, the big fixes for me would be the service and the drink situation. I can't say we would rush to come back just because we love Katie's for the service, food, and drinks..
