They could improve a little on checking back at the table to make sure we didn't need anything as if they had checked on us we probably would have ordered more wine and some additional items. Menu is a little pricey for the overall portions and quality but not too bad. The best part of my meal was the gazpacho. The only thing that we were a little surprised by was the price of their feature dessert (at the time) the pistachio ice cream which was hyped up to my friends and ended up coming out to over $50 (again portion wasn't amazing) but price also wasn't shared and we were a little confused. I'm shocked that Yelp average is 3.5. This is a 5 star restaurant. The food options are many from various Mediterranean countries but mostly French. Service is top notch and the ambience is better than 95% of restaurants in Miami. I would not want to sit in the covered outdoor area because of humidity. So I recommend indoors. The wine is very expensive so bring a great wine and pay the $50 corkage fee. It also buys you personalized service from the sommelier. I cannot think of anything that brings the current average down except cost. But cost is similar to other top 5% restaurants in the area. read more

What a phenomenal restaurant. From the vibe to the decor to the flavors of the food, everything about the place was fabulous. A large group of us dined at Claudie during a weeknight. Impressively, it was super busy so we were excited for the food and evening. To start, the staff was kind and welcoming. We tried the Miami Spice menu which included: heirloom tomato gazpacho, Boston Bibb lettuce, branzino carpaccio, spinach and ricotta ravioli, roasted chicken supreme, and 7OZ faroe island salmon, and for dessert we tried the lavender crème brûlée, green apple sorbet, and the tropezienne tart. The food didn't leave a lasting impression on us at all. For the price I was expecting more of a "wow" factor however was left very disappointed. This was a consensus among the entire group. It's very posh, stylish, and exactly what you expect from a Brickell hotspot. We started with the oysters and escargot, both of which were excellent and set a strong tone. For mains, we ordered the wagyu ribeye medium rare with fries. The steak came out closer to rare, but it was flavorful and well-prepared, so we didn't mind. However, the butternut squash risotto and Bordeaux wine, which were supposed to accompany the steak, arrived late and after the steak itself. The risotto was cold by the time it reached the table and felt like an afterthought. The bread also arrived after the steak, which added to the sense of timing issues. Dessert was the lavender crème brûlée. It was tasty, but the lavender slightly overpowered the simplicity and richness that makes a crème brûlée special. A more generous addition of figs would have balanced the flavors beautifully and made it feel more decadent. Service-wise, Enrique was a pleasure, and overall service met expectations. While there were a few detail-oriented misses with pacing and temperature, the food itself was very good, and the experience remained enjoyable. It's unfortunate because Claudie is a beautiful restaurant, however I will not be returning. The management here is not very smart. We dined here on a Saturday evening on the Miami Formula One weekend. Upon arriving, the hostesses put us at a table in the inside far left corner of the restaurant. I asked if we could be outside, and she said "Oh it will be an hour wait probably more because everyone has reserved for the F1 Race weekend. I pointed to two specific tables that would be better and said "so those aren't available?" to which she replied a firm no. The head host also completely lied to my face because there is also no way on open table to reserve outside- you can only reserve "Standard" or "General". So if I could have specified outside I would have. In addition, inside they have this really annoying singer. The music is so loud you can barely hear the person across from you. Aside from this, Our server Jordi was great, We had the steak rare which was delicious. The truffle Mac and cheese was also good, but I could do without the ham which was a little odd. The chocolate mousse was also good. The food and server were great but when we finished our meal, the two tables that I would have preferred to sit at were STILL empty. Only ONE MAN was sitting there without a date. I wish I walked out to begin with, I can go somewhere with better treatment. If they were smart, they would have said we can have the table for two hours. But instead, they choose status over business. These types of games that make people feel less than need to end. We tried several desserts, but my favorite was one made with green apple -- absolutely delightful. There was a small issue with the ceiling -- a leak on the day we visited -- but they were already working on it. The polka dots are strawberry puree. you can eat it, which i did. i think i was the only one in the restaurant eating the dots of the glass. LOL. it was a cute touch. The drink itself was pretty basic. i wish it had some cute garnishes to go with it because it looked kind of boring. We got seated and our service was great. They come around and snip sage and rosemary in the olive oil for you which is pretty cool. The only weird thing was they give you small piece of baguette per person. like literally one tiny piece. The bread was really good. Me and my friend ordered wagyu skirt steak to share, green beans, and black truffle fries. The food was outstanding, but i am not picky with steak. It was cooked to order. My friend thought it was really fatty, which it was, but that's wagyu. I don't think they had any steak other than wagyu, so just an FYI in case you're not into the high fat taste. The herb aioli they give you was my FAVORITE. SO GOOD. the black truffle fries were to die for. Especially if you dip it in the herb aioli. It is beautiful and good but expensive. I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I was certain I had a reservation for 7:30 PM for four people, as I clearly remember entering my credit card details when booking through OpenTable. However, when we arrived, the reservation was nowhere to be found in the app. This was especially frustrating because it was my birthday, a Saturday night, and we had driven an hour from Bal Harbour. When my husband asked the front desk if there was any way to accommodate us, we were immediately told no, without any attempt to help.                           What was most disappointing was that the front desk staff didn't even attempt to help us -- they didn't check their system or try to see if there was any possibility to accommodate us at that moment. This lack of effort and care reflected a very poor level of hospitality. While waiting for our car at valet, I checked OpenTable again and was able to make a new reservation at the same restaurant for 7:45 PM. After booking it on the spot, I went back upstairs, and suddenly they could see my reservation and seat us. The food and service were good, but the front desk and overall hospitality were very disappointing. This situation almost ruined our evening. read more

FYI When we arrived the valet was a little tricky, it looks like you're about to go on the sidewalk (which I think you actually do) so just a heads up. We checked in at the front and they asked us to wait at the bar while they got our table ready. The wait wasn't very long and we were seated outside. They had fun music which was great for what we were there for but I wouldn't recommend it for a date night when you're trying to have a conversation with someone new since it could get a little loud. The apps were great! My favorite was the burrata, the taste was very fresh. We shared the ratatouille side, branzino and truffle Mac and cheese. It was all amazing! We enjoyed every bite. It was raining on this night, so it was closed, but I think it would be amazing if it was open. Our prefix menu consisted of tomato gazpacho, marinated sweet bell peppers, branzino carpaccio, boston lettuce heart, escargots, grilled salmon, spinach and ricotta ravioli, grilled young chicken, french fries, green beans fricasse and three amazing desserts chocolate mousse, teopezienne tart and lavender creme brulee. There was not one thing on that menu that I can say was not absolutely delicious. The ambiance, the food, the musicians walking around the tables, everything was great. Now, I do have to say that the service, given the price and caliber of the restaurant, was not 100%. We had to ask for water a few times, the server was not always attainable to order drinks, I wouldn't say it was awful, but definitely expected better. They did come around to push drinks and never come back with the water. The big no-no was we were still eating appetizers and a server brought the main course. So not cool. We had a 9 o'clock reservation. I am not sure why they were trying to rush us out.. Overall, it was a night out in Miami. I personally will not go back.
