Treated me once I got to counter to order. I had already looked at the menu before going over so I knew what I wanted. Ordered the chicken and sausage jambalaya with potato salad. They were out of the chicken and sausage jambalaya so I had to wait about 20 mins for them to make a new batch. That was ok because I knew it would be fresh and hot. Waited at a table for my food to go. Took it back to the hotel. The jambalaya had a good flavor to it. The chicken was a rough chop so you got small pieces and large pieces which was nice. Some of the rice was a bit dry and crunchy but over all it was good. The potato salad was good but I think the potatoes were a bit over cooked and make the salad taste like mashed potatoes. I could not see the sweet relish or taste the crunch but I know it was in there, the potato salad had a sweet taste to it. I like it better than mustard based ones. The cornbread was on point, only missed some butter. It was sweet and good consistency. The banana pudding was better the next day after I throw it on the fridge. Not sure if the short drive made it warm up or if their fridge was not working too well. It did need a little more fresh banana chunks for my liking but it was good over all. This location is recommended.

They are right off of interstate 12 with ample parking. Service is consistent and the menu has lots of options. My favorites are the chargrilled oysters and crabcake. The dining area is very family oriented and the bar area has high top tables where you can watch sports on the TV while you enjoy your drink of choice and items on the menu.

Since I arrived early, I sat at the bar and had a mango piña colada. The bartender was friendly and helpful in selecting a flavor for the piña colada. When my friend arrived, she had one too. We agreed that they were really good. We paid our bar tab and got a table. The facility was nice and clean and had seating for about 100 people. I noticed that there were many employees standing around doing nothing, although I expect that later that evening, the place got really , Although the place was nearly empty, they still seated us close to the door to the kitchen, which I really didn't appreciate. We both ordered the softshell crawfish, and I was delighted that they brought out hush puppies at no charge as soon as we sat down. It didn't take long for them to bring out the soft shell crawfish along with a dipping sauce that was something unfamiliar. My friend didn't really like it, and I used it, but was rather ambivalent about it. The soft show crawfish seemed overcooked to me, and I've had fried crawfish tails many times that were much better. At least I can now say that I have actually had the chance to try a softshell crawfish. Also, since the proceeds from sale of the softshell crawfish, we're going to medical expenses for the owner's daughter's liver transplant, I was happy to contribute to that cause. I would go back to Dukes again, but I would order something other than the softshell crawfish.
