Rating: 3/5 Had some late-night chicken cravings and decided to DoorDash from this spot -- and it definitely satisfied the craving! We ordered the fried jalapeños, shrimp tacos, chicken sandwich, and shrimp with fries. Everything arrived warm and fresh, which was a pleasant surprise for a late-night delivery. The food had that authentic Cajun flavor we were hoping for -- bold, well-seasoned, and satisfying. The chicken sandwich had a nice kick, the shrimp was tasty, and the fried jalapeños were a fun little bonus to the meal. Overall, a solid 3/5 -- good food, good flavor, and clutch for those late-night cravings when you need something flavorful and filling. Would order again!

Fast service! Really nice people! The sandwiches were gigantic and the chicken was fresh and crispy. the fries were also fried to perfection as well. I got the hot but i could've gone higher (it was mild at most) love love love their cheesey sauce! the ambiance was causal since it's a food truck behind subway.

Wasn't a hard decision to come here...everyone knows (or at least should) that food from a truck is always bangin! I had to have the loaded fries and my girl decided to get the cluck it like it's hot sandwich. You can choose 1 or 2 tenders for the sandwiches and we got only 1, and that is plenty enough chicken for a sandwich. It was very very good! The slaw, it was such a good and big piece of chicken, the flavor was just right on the sauce. All in all the sandwich was an easy 10/10. The fries on the other hand...by no means at all were they not tasty, I just think my expectations were higher than the Eiffel Tower. It's basic nacho cheese drizzled over them which could be better (I'm just not a fan of nacho cheese) but the chicken was cut into perfect bite size pieces with the waffle fries. The fries were good, the chicken was good and the pickles too, they can just find a better cheese to put some sort of way. It was $26 for the large fry, sandwich only and a canned drink. It's a food truck in a small little car park down a side street. Pictured, its side by side with another food truck not sure if they're the same people. There's no seating or any sort of place to eat in the vicinity so you may want to figure that out before hand. Doesn't take long at all for them to prepare and serve your food either. The sandwich was phenomenal and the fries were almost perfect. Definitely recommend

The service is absolutely shit. Waited over 30 mins to get this ass food, I'm thinking it's going to be bussin but hell nah. No justification for this service 0/10 would not recommend. Location need to be by the dumpster yard as it represents everything this food truck is. Thanks take review seriously. Ambiance is hot as hell 99 degrees for some BS

Stumbled upon this by accident on Christmas Eve looking for something to eat!

Food was good, but wow was it overpriced. 13 dollars for a bowl of fries with a few chicken nuggets on top. Wasn't worth the money at all.

The carne asada taco was okay, too many onions for me, but still quite tasty. Some would probably be intimidated to eat here because it is a run-down food truck located next to a gas station near the Home Depot of Coursey & Cedarcrest. The service was friendly and fast. Eating there is not really recommended because there are just folding chairs, no tables. I would say the food was pretty authentic and I plan on going back, especially for those yummy pupusas. This might not be your first choice, but at least make it a choice; step out of your box and try something new!

Everyone has heard about my deep rooted love and obsession for tacos and food stands, so I wanted everyone else in Baton Rouge to find out about this gem of a shady but delicious food truck! The meat is charred crispy to perfection, without being dry. The doubled-up HANDMADE a corn tortillas are definitely the best tortillas I have ever tasted. (Hmm, wonder if I can get a whole pack to go?!) The pupusas are delicious too, and come topped with a pickled cabbage. My friend did order the pork tacos, thinking it was carnitas, but it was actually chicharrones (pork rind) and we didn't like that one so much. I TOLD her to let me order for her in Spanish, but she insisted on the pork before I had the chance to people rly ask WHAT type of pork...... And yes, it's best to order in Spanish. Just say "taco de carne asada" (beef steak) and "taco de pollo" (chicken) and how may and you should be set. I usually order 3. They are small but very filling. I could literally eat these everyday. There are 2-3 chairs to sit out at while waiting for your order, and the wait time is 4-8mins or so depending on how much you order but it's so worth it. They even give salsa to go. Ladies, please wear your wedding rings (or a fake one while you order) because there will most likely have a plethora of men ordering authentic Mexican food, waiting to propose to any unsuspecting lady who just wants to get her foodporn on and immediately dash to the comfort of their own home to indulge in these tasty treats. It is parked at the gas station near the Home Depot on Cedarcrest & Coursey. Coming from bluebonnet (with the CCs coffee house on your left) you will cross over working onto Coursey, and it's the second gas station on the right. If you're in the Home Depot parking lot, the gas station is directly in front of the store.

I ordered the ropa vieja, and it reminded me of a really well-made pot roast that's been braised until it's fall-apart tender. It paired perfectly with the rice and beans. What impressed me the most wasn't actually the beef, it was the congrí. I honestly expected the rice and beans to be more of a filler side, but they were packed with flavor and were enjoyable all on their own. To me, that's the sign of a kitchen that pays attention to every component on the plate instead of focusing only on the main entrée. That's something I really appreciate. A great meal isn't just about one standout item. Every component should be seasoned and prepared with the same level of care, and Elisa's does exactly that. The food isn't trying to reinvent Cuban cuisine or impress you with flashy presentation. They're simply focused on making authentic, delicious food consistently, and it shows. The interior was beautiful, the portions were satisfying, the prices were reasonable, and the service was excellent. There are several other dishes I already want to come back and try, which says a lot after just one visit. If they continue serving food with this level of consistency, Elisa's will definitely become a regular stop for us.
