This place is very beautiful and is a retiree's paradise. They have three places to get food, many activities and there are plenty of different apartments to choose from. The price is reasonable (a bit high but better than closer to Fairfax). The nicest thing about it is that you can go from independent care to assisted living without paying any more money (you pay for it up front and your allotted food money gets lower); allowing for a more worry-free living. If you (or someone you know) is looking for a place like this, I suggest reserving a tour for this place. You can wait list yourself many years in advance of retiring as well or becoming of age to be enrolled (you must be 64 in order to be enrolled - there trying to move it to 60 though, however). There is a grocery store close by (Martin's) as well as a Wal-Mart in which case they have shuttle service once a week.

So, I've spent a good amount of time here. I can say that it is the best place that she has lived since leaving her house. They have lots of activities and get her to her doctor appointments any day/time that she schedules them. They have good food, a pool, gym, library, theater, conference rooms, and other features that give my grandmother plenty to do. I particularly enjoy the wooded trails that surround the complex. The proximity to the hospital and numerous doctor's offices is also a big plus. Having been through a number of assisted living places in the past, I would say that this one is of very high caliber.

A huge fan of Luckett's Community Center!…read more The center is housed in an original 1914 schoolhouse, overseen by Loudoun County's PRC, and they are the home for the long-running Lucketts Bluegrass Concert Series! A favorite musician and band of mine was visiting, so we were ecstatic for the evening! The venue holds about 150-200 seats, and concerts do get sold out; they do offer a waitlist. And, like one of the attendee stated, 'there is no bad seat in the house' - it is small enough where there's no obstructed view! The sound system was great! The staff are all volunteers, and they are pretty friendly and helpful! If you got the munchies, there's a kitchen onsite that sells hot dogs, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, homemade treats (such as brownies, pies, and cakes), packaged candies/chocolates, and canned soda and bottled water. We tried their all-beef hot dog and a honey bun cake, and both just hit the spot and were super tasty! Prices are extremely reasonable! They also have licensed preschool classes, afterschool care, childcare, and pavilion rentals available. There is an adjacent parking lot, but the entrance is off the main road, so you just have to walk around. Compare to the Habitat for Humanity in Montgomery Country, this store has a much better atmosphere. It is located in a strip mall with good number of parking spaces out front. We had a good time to walk around in the store and knowing any purchase made here will be contribute to the community building.

There's always a wide variety of items from tools, furniture cabinet, flooring, and many other things I available for purchase a lot of times especially on days where they're running a really good sale. The fact that they run sales on items that are already discounted makes me come back and the quality of the good so you are inspected before being put on the floor so you don't have to wonder if it works or not. But if you're buying something electrical, you can always check to make sure before you buy which I appreciate.
